(Minghui.org) When Zhu, deputy chief of the Domestic Security Office, asked to meet with me at the end of last year, I thought it was a good opportunity for me to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to him.
Zhu replaced the previous chief Qing after the latter retired last year. Qing read some truth-clarification materials, and he also quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He came along with Zhu.
Zhu greeted me and said that I, an 80-year-old, should try to protect myself from being arrested and sentenced to prison for upholding my faith in Falun Gong. My imprisonment would be hard for me and would also affect my children's and grandchildren’s job promotion and education.
My daughter, who doesn’t practice Falun Gong, interrupted him, “My father firmly holds onto his faith and he must have his reasons. We all respect his decision.”
Qing echoed my daughter by saying that I often went out to expose the CCP’s persecution.
I chimed in and said that since the CCP took power in 1949, it has never stopped persecuting Chinese people. Qing and Zhu should be familiar with the CCP’s numerous political campaigns that killed millions of people in the past few decades. Now heaven is eliminating the CCP, and urging people to quit the CCP and its youth organizations. I also urged Zhu to quit the CCP to safeguard his future.
Zhu was in full agreement, and I gave him some more informational materials, which he happily accepted.
On their way out, I asked another officer Sheng who came with them to also quit the CCP. He used to be very rude and resistant when I clarified the truth to him. But this time, since his boss had already quit the CCP, he also agreed with a big smile. He took the materials and expressed his gratitude.
In addition to clarifying the truth to the police, I also took various opportunities to interact with everyone involved in the persecution, including judges and prosecutors. Many of them accepted the materials from me and agreed to quit the CCP.
