Additional Persecution News from China – February 12, 2023 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Bai Yanbin Arrested

Mr. Bai Yanbin from Karaqinqi was arrested on the afternoon of February 10, 2023. The police ransacked his home and confiscated over 10,000 yuan in cash, a motorcycle, and other personal belongings.

2. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Junhua Faces Trial

Ms. Liu Junhua, 80, was scheduled to be tried for the second time in the Shunqing District Court at 1:30 p.m. on February 15, 2023.

3. [Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Dianrong Arrested

Ms. Li Dianrong, around 60, was arrested in Xiushui Mingyuan Community, Bei’an City around 9 a.m. on February 9, 2023, for distributing truth clarifying materials. Several officers went to her home that evening and ransacked it. Ms. Li is currently detained in the Wudalianci City Detention Center.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Guilan Arrested

Ms. Li Guilan from Qikai District was arrested at home on the afternoon of February 8, 2023.

Ms. Li Guilan, as well as three other practitioners including Ms. Hou Guixiang, Ms. Gao Junying, and Ms. Mu Chunping, were arrested on August 31, 2022, when talking to people about Falun Gong. They were detained in the police station for 32 hours. Their homes were ransacked. Their Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong’s founder, and over 2000 yuan in paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts were confiscated.

5. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Zhou Yuexin and Pan Baozhen Harassed

Several officers from the Liuyuan Police Station went to Zhou Yuexin’s home on the morning of February 2, 2023. They ransacked Zhou’s home and summoned Zhou Yuexin to the police station. Zhou returned home in the afternoon.

Pan Baozhen (gender unknown) was summoned to the Xinqu Police Station twice in early February 2023.

6. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Sun Yushan Faces Trial

Mr. Sun Yushan was scheduled to be tried in Liuyang City Court at 2 p.m. on February 15, 2023.

7. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] The Cases Against Three Practitioners Submitted to the Procuratorate

Ms. Li Jing, Ms. Li Xianghong, and Zhang Tao (gender unknown) from Liquan County, went to Qian County to support fellow practitioners but were arrested. Their cases were submitted to the Qian County Procuratorate but were transferred to the Qindu District Procuratorate in Xianyang City about 10 days ago.

8. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Shi Jinrong Detained in a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Shi Jinrong from Fuchang District was arrested at home on September 27, 2022. She was first taken to the police station and then to a brainwashing center at 5 p.m. She was released on September 30, 2022.

9. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Face Trial

Ms. Guo Chunling, Mr. Zhang Guangcai, Ms. Zhang Jinfeng, and Ms. Yuan Mei’e, were scheduled to be tried in the Qiezihe District Court on February 17, 2023.

The four practitioners are from the same family in Hongwei Town, Qiezihe District. They were arrested by officers from Harbin City and Qitaihe City on July 12, 2022. The police ransacked their home from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. They confiscated their Falun Gong books, printer, Ms. Zhang Jinfeng’s minivan, and other personal belongings.
