(Minghui.org) Many people in China are eager to know the facts about Falun Gong and why it is being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Here are two examples sent in by Minghui readers.

Justice Department Clerk Quits the CCP

A Falun Gong practitioner named Min was recently arrested for her belief and her home was ransacked. She was eventually released on bail. All the while, she kept telling people about Falun Gong and why the CCP is wrong to suppress it. The people she spoke included the police officers who’d arrested or interrogated her, the prosecutor who’d indicted her, the judge who tried her, and her court-appointed lawyer. When some of the police officers and the lawyer learned from her how the CCP has been persecuting innocent practitioners, they quit whatever Party organizations they’d once joined. The lawyer defended Min’s innocence in court.

The judge still sentenced Min to prison. She appealed the verdict to the intermediate court. When the judge in charge of her appeal asked her about her case, Min said it was not a crime to follow Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to become a better person and that the Constitution protects freedom of belief. “By siding with the CCP to persecute innocent Falun Gong practitioners, a person commits sins,” Min said. “Only by quitting the CCP and following his or her own conscience can one avoid going down with it.”

In fact, even the CCP has ruled that officials will be held accountable for cases they handle during their tenure, even after they’ve left their official positions. That is why it is important to not follow the CCP to do bad things—the regime might turn them into scapegoats. Min also recommended the new article “How Humankind Came To Be,” written by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong. When she tried to hand a copy to the appeals court judge, he did not dare to accept it, citing court policies.

The judge’s clerk walked Min out after the meeting was over. Once again, Min reminded him to sever ties with the CCP and recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

“Will you quit the CCP?” she asked.

“Of course!” the clerk quickly responded.

The clerk’s surname was Li, so Min said she would help him quit the CCP organizations using the pseudonym “Li Tianshun” (tian meaning “heaven” and shun meaning “smooth or successful”). The clerk nodded, thanking her again and again.

Hungry for Uncensored Information

Lei has a satellite dish in her home that can receive signals from New York-based NTD Television. When friends or relatives visited her, she often turned on the TV so they could see and hear the uncensored information reported by NTD. From watching its programs, these people learned the real story of Falun Gong and how the CCP has been ruthlessly suppressing practitioners, detaining them, torturing them, and even causing their deaths.

“This is great!” said Kuitou, a coworker of Lei’s husband. “We’ve never seen this before—it is like a new world.” They also shared what they saw on NTD with their acquaintances and asked local practitioners to help them install their own satellite dishes. The place where Min’s husband worked once had a New Year’s feast for coworkers, business partners, and police officers. “Quite a few coworkers had NTD Television installed in their homes, and during the feast, we spent most of the time talking about uncensored information from NTD,” Min’s husband recalled.

As time went on, some people moved to new homes, and some had difficulty with a weak or no satellite signal. Min hopes more practitioners can help with satellite dish installation and maintenance so that more people in China can have access to uncensored information.
