Follow the Course of Nature, and the Appropriate Results Will Follow

(Minghui.org) Master said: “…, as a cultivator should follow the course of nature.” (Lecture Seven, Zhuan Falun)

After cultivating in Falun Dafa for many years, I still did not really understand the connotation of this Fa. Then, recently, I developed some understanding of it. I am sharing my understanding here with fellow practitioners.

In the latter half of 2020, our region went into “community static management” due to the spread of the plague. Cities and communities were locked down, and residents were not allowed to go in and out of their communities at will. This made it difficult for Dafa practitioners to go out to save lives. As a Dafa practitioner, I knew I have the mission to save lives and that I must find a way to go out. At first, I climbed over a low community wall to go in and out. Although there were not many pedestrians on the street, I could still help several people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. I could also hand out a few copies of the Minghui Weekly each time I went out.

One afternoon at 4 p.m., when I was on my way back to my community after talking to people, I saw five or six officials wearing red armbands. They were busy doing something near the low wall I climbed over to go in and out. Thus, I could not go over the low wall and back into my community. I wondered, What should I do? I recalled Master’s teaching and reminded myself to follow the course of nature. I thought, “There are always ways to go home. I will read the Fa even if I get home late. I can recite the Fa here and now.” I then sat on a roadside bench and ignored everything around me, including passing-by cars and pedestrians. I closed my eyes and recited Zhuan Falun with a calm and focused mind.

After I finished reciting one lecture, it was already 5 p.m.. The personnel near the low wall had disappeared. I then started walking toward the wall. While walking, I noticed that they had spread grease all over the wall and made it impossible to climb. I worried about what to do. As I walked closer, I noticed there was no grease on the section (about two yards wide) of the low wall where I climbed over. My eyes were wet. I made the gesture of Heshi and thanked Master. Then I quickly went over the wall.

After I got home, I thought, “I should not always climb over the wall to go in and out. As a Dafa practitioner, I should go in and out with dignity. I will go out through the gate. As for whether I can go out, I will follow Master Li’s (Dafa’s founder) teaching. I will follow the course of nature.”

The next day I rode my bike to a community gate. Seeing five or six guards standing by the gate, I sent a thought, “You all stay there, and I am riding my bike through.” After I rode about 20 to 30 yards after passing through the gate, someone called me from behind, “Why didn’t they stop you?”

Looking back, I saw a middle-aged woman. She said, “Seeing that they did not stop you, I followed you and came out too.” I said, “I’m a Dafa practitioner, and I am coming out to save lives. How can they stop me?” She smiled. I then said, “Do you know about Falun Gong (aka Falun Dafa)? Do you know that quitting the CCP and its youth organizations gives you a safe future?” She answered, “I know that you are all good people. I quit the Youth League a long time ago.” After saying so, she left happily. Since then, I took turns going in and out at different community gates until the lockdown was lifted.

I also want to share an observation. Sometimes when I went out to talk to people about Falun Gong, I went for miles but did not meet even one person who was willing to listen to me. When I got anxious about this, I calmed myself, “As long as I came out to save lives with a sincere mind, I am doing what a Dafa practitioner should do. As for the result, I have to follow the course of nature, as Master taught us.” I then stopped being attached to results. Many times the situation changed, and whoever I talked to accepted my truth-clarification and agreed to quit the CCP organizations. On such days, I often achieved desirable results with more than a dozen people quitting the CCP organizations.

Last year I went to visit my son. The communities were locked down while I was still there, and I could not return home. At home, I had a list of names of hundreds of people who agreed to quit the CCP, and I had not gotten a chance to upload it to the website for recording withdrawals from the CCP. There was no indication of how long the lockdown would last. I wondered what should I do. I thought, “Assisting Master in Fa-rectification is the most important thing. I must find a way to get the list from my home and upload it to the website.

I found a way to get out of their community and rode my bike toward my community. There were few people on the road, and I rode my bike with a calm mind. I thought, “I will try to get the list of names. It would be great if I can get it. However, I should not be attached to whether I can get it. I will follow Master’s teaching and follow the course of nature.” The result was that a fellow practitioner helped me; she got me my computer and the list without any difficulty. I thanked Master in my mind!

I had many similar experiences that I will not include here. The point I want to share is that I came to understand that, as long as what we want conforms to the Fa and meets the standard for a Dafa practitioner, we should just go ahead and do it. Miracles will happen and the impossible will become possible. But we should not be attached to the results. We should follow Master’s teaching and follow the course of nature. Many times things would go smoothly. It is because Master is omnipotent; Dafa is omnipotent.
