Fast Food Shop Owner Stays COVID-Free and Keeps His Shop Open After Quitting the CCP

(Minghui.org) There’s a small market in the eastern part of my city, and it’s usually one of the busiest places at night after office hours. There are all kinds of stalls selling things from cooked food, frozen food, vegetables, meat, drinks, fruit, housewares, and so on. The products are cheaper and fresher compared to those in the supermarkets, so it’s always crowded after work. Due to the sudden COVID outbreak, however, the usually busy market was suddenly empty and quiet. Few stalls remained open and there were few customers as well.

I went to a fast food stall to buy steamed buns. As soon as I opened my mouth to speak, the young vendor who appeared to be in his 30s exclaimed, “Oh! It’s you! I recognize your voice.” As I was wearing a face mask and a scarf, he could not recognize me at first. Then he said, “Thank you! Ever since you told me about that, my business has been especially great. Just as you said, I did not catch COVID. Neither did anyone in my family.” He turned and pointed to a woman behind him who appeared to be his mother.

Before the outbreak became widespread I had stopped to buy steamed buns from the young man and after paying him, I told him about Falun Dafa. I said, “You seem to be an honest person. I want to tell you something important: Please remember, Falun Dafa is good. It teaches one to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. One should be truthful, kind, tolerant and treat everyone well. It is wonderful to be a good person. I guarantee it will benefit you if you follow these principles in everyday life and respect Falun Dafa. Look at this current pandemic, people live with no sense of security. It’s important for common people like us to be safe. But how do we avert disasters? Can wearing a face mask solve the problem? No, it cannot. God looks at one’s heart. If your heart is righteous, you will be blessed. You operate a small business; you should be honest and not sell fake products.” He nodded in agreement. 

“There is another matter. Have you heard of quitting the CCP (the Chinese Communist Party)?” He said no. I continued, “The CCP is bad. Time and again, it launched political campaigns to persecute Chinese people. We should not believe in it. We should distinguish between what is good and bad. The regime locks up Falun Dafa practitioners who are good people in prisons, and kills them for their organs. You should not be part of it. Renounce your membership in the Party. Over 400 million people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. There is an overseas website known as The Epoch Times - Tuidang website, where people can quit the CCP.”

The young man said, “I joined the Young Pioneers years ago. Please help me renounce my membership.” He told me his last name and I helped arrange his withdrawal using an alias. I also asked him to say, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfullness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” often when he had time. He agreed. He was alone at the stall then and I did not ask him to tell his family what I just said.

It turned out after learning the facts about Falun Dafa, sales at his stall improved. Many stall owners had to close after catching COVID, but he was spared and stayed healthy. He recites “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” every day. He even told his family members about saying the nine special words and consequently all of them remained healthy.

I’d forgotten about our talk when I went to buy food from his stall again. He recognized my voice and excitedly told me what had happened to him and his family since our last encounter. He expressed his gratitude to Falun Dafa for keeping him and his family safe during the pandemic.
