Mr. Zhang Lianqing, his wife Ms. Liu Guiying, and their son Mr. Zhang Fengming, 32, were followed while putting up posters about Falun Gong. The police arrested them after they returned home. Ms. Liu’s sister, who also practices Falun Gong, was arrested when she went to visit them. The police also ransacked her home and confiscated two Falun Gong books.
At the time of writing, the police still stayed at the Zhang family’s home in an attempt to arrest more practitioners.
After Ms. Bai Yajuan was arrested, the police also took her father, husband, and aunt Ms. Zhu Xiuhua to the police station for interrogation. All of them were released on the same day.
Ms. Liu Lianbo fell into a coma after being taken to the police station and was taken to a hospital. She was released in the evening.
Ms. Lang had her home raided during her arrest. Her computer, printer, and Falun Gong books were confiscated. Her husband was interrogated at the police station.
Three other practitioners arrested on the same day include Ms. Li Xiaomin, Ms. Zheng Lanqin, in her 70s, and Ms. Guo Jingxia.
According to an insider, the police had begun to monitor the practitioners three months ago. They collected a name list and made the arrests according to it.
