Dublin, Ireland: Practitioners Introduce Falun Gong during the Mid-Autumn Festival

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held activities in downtown Dublin on September 10, 2022 to raise awareness of the practice and to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. Also, on September 10, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a date recorded on the lunar calendar. Many people, including tourists from throughout the world, stopped to learn more and sign a petition calling for an end to the CCP’s persecution.

A young woman signed the petition upon hearing about the CCP’s appalling crime of harvesting organs from imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners. She said that she would write to her representatives, and ask for their help to stop the atrocity.

Joanna from Poland told a practitioner that she had learned about the persecution in China, and had even written an article about the CCP’s organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners. She was sad to hear the persecution was still going on. Joanna said she would continue to follow the situation, and hoped to see the persecution end soon. 

A group of young people was pleased to see that more people had begun to understand about the evil nature of the CCP. A young woman in the group said that her father, who worked in the diplomatic field, often told her about the CCP’s harm and criminal conduct. Her father had recommended videos and books to her about the CCP’s plots against humanity. Another young woman said she was writing a paper about the CCP, and the conversation today had given her first-hand information.

Practitioners handed out paper lotus flowers that were made into bookmarks bearing the words “Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance.” Many people were surprised to receive the lotus flowers.

A woman named Kristina was very thankful. She told a practitioner, “I have received one here a few years ago. It has given me encouragement and helped me through the hardest time!”

Several Chinese asked for fliers, and talked with Falun Gong practitioners. They were delighted for the opportunity to find out what they can’t see in China.

Mr. Liu from Shenzhen City of China talked with a practitioner for a long time. He said he knew the CCP had inflicted terrible persecution on Falun Gong practitioners and the Chinese people in general. He quit the Young Pioneers, which he had joined as a child, and was grateful to receive a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.” He said he had been wanting to read this book for a long time.

Mr. Chen from Guangxi Province said that he had watched a DVD of the Shen Yun performance in China. He had looked forward to watching a live Shen Yun performance ever since he left China. The practitioner told Mr. Chen how the CCP had intentionally destroyed traditional Chinese culture and persecuted the Chinese people. Chen quit the Young Pioneers, and said that he longed for the day when the CCP collapses, so that every Chinese would be able to enjoy freedom of speech.

Ms. Lin from Taiwan told a practitioner that she used to have misunderstandings about Falun Gong, but now she was finally learning the real story. She praised practitioners’ truth clarification activities, “You Falun Gong practitioners are admirable! You tell people the truth one by one! What a difficult task! I wish you a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!”
