In his message, California gubernatorial candidate Christian Raul Morales, currently the CEO of a major Los Angeles military corporation, wrote: “On the occasion of the traditional Chinese reunion festival, I sincerely wish Mr. Li Hongzhi a happy Moon Festival! I also wish his disciples a happy Moon Festival!”

Mr. Morales also said, “Americans and Californians celebrate the Chinese Moon Festival and the creator of Falun Dafa, Mr. Li Hong Zhi, for his teaching people to become better people in society and do things thinking of others first, especially in this era of moral [decay].”

James P. Bradley is a candidate for the U.S. Senate and a successful CEO who manages a large healthcare organization in Los Angeles. In his greeting, he wrote,

“I would like to wish my Chinese family, friends and community the peace, love and support celebrating this Moon Festival Day.

“I would also like to express my neverending support for Mr. Li Hong Zhi and those that practice Falun Dafa, which have brought Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, who are being persecuted by the CCP. These crimes against humanity must never be tolerated by civilized nations.

“I know that many Americans join me in this support.

“My prayers and support to those family members that have lost their loved ones and demand the immediate release of those that are still imprisoned.”

David Hillberg, candidate for lieutenant governor is an FAA-certified senior aircraft mechanic who has studied U.S. law in depth. In his greetings, he wrote, “I give blessings and good wishes to your Master Li Hong Zhi, I pray that his followers and he be able to meet together and make the world a better place for all.

“It is sad that governments have become unmoved by the plight of the peaceful and hard working. I ask that all who do good unite and become one voice for the goodness of all in this world.”

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
