1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Wenwen Faces Trial

Ms. Sun Wenwen, 73, was arrested by officers from the Longfeng Police Station on May 17, 2022 for talking about Falun Gong in a big market. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was released the next night. She was later harassed by police several times. Ms. Sun will be tried by the Dongzhou Court on August 18, 2022.

2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Niu Hu Arrested and Detained

Mr. Niu Hu, about 50, is a senior executive at the Aonuo Company. He was arrested by officers from the Shunhua Road Police Station at the end of July 2022 for distributing truth-clarifying materials. The police ransacked his two properties and confiscated many Falun Gong books and electronic devices, as well as his bank cards and laptops. Mr. Niu and his wife Ms. Xia Jing were taken to the police station for interrogation. Ms. Xia was released on bail pending trial. Mr. Niu is still detained in the Zhonggong Detention House..

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Ma Changqing Arrested and Detained

Ms. Ma Changqing was reported to police for distributing truth-clarifying materials and was arrested on August 10 or 11, 2022. It is unknown where she is detained.

4. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Li Xiufang and Ms. Zhang Guifang Arrested

Ms. Li Xiufang from Jinfeng District, over 80, has been harassed multiple times. She was arrested on August 13, 2022. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the East Huanghe Road Police Station.

Ms. Zhang Guifang, over 70, has been arrested and detained multiple times. Several officers ransacked two properties she owned on August 13, 2022 and took her to the East Huanghe Road Police Station.

The two practitioners were released that evening.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ma Xiufeng and Mr. Dong Guozhong Harassed

Ms. Ma Xiufeng lives in the Nongfeng Town, Shuangcheng District. She was taken to the Shuangcheng District Police Department for interrogation on April 13, 2022 and was released the same day. Ms. Ma was told to go to a brainwashing center by the village official on July 17, 2022. She did not go. A local police officer went to Ms. Ma’s home on August 16, 2022 and wanted to take photo of her. She did not let the officer into her home.

Mr. Dong Guozhong lives in the Hongcheng Village, Handian Town, Shuangcheng District. He was harassed by village officials and police officers from the Handian Town Police Station on July 25, 2022. They pressured him to give up his belief. The harassment lasted more than six hours.

6. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Chaoqun and Her Daughter Ms. Zhang Yixin Arrested

Ms. Li Chaoqun and her daughter Ms. Zhang Yixin were arrested on August 12, 2022. The police confiscated 2970 yuan in paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts, 100,000 yuan in cash and 2,811 US dollars.

7. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Zhonghua and Mr. Wang Zhen Harassed

Officers from the Xihe Town Police Station went to Ms. Wu Zhonghua’s home in Kongtun Village at the end of July 2022. Ms. Wu was not at home. Her husband Mr. Chu Wenbo (non-practitioner) was taken to the police station. He was released one hour later.

Mr. Wang Zhen, 85, was harassed at home in Kongtun Village twice by officers from the Xihe Town Police Station.

8. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yan Lijun Fined 8,000 yuan

Ms. Yan Lijun’s family received a courier and were informed to pay 8000 yuan to the Linghai Court before August 12, 2022 otherwise her assets would be frozen. Ms. Yan’s family paid the fine under the threat.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ou Lihua Arrested

Four officers from the Gaoxin District Police Department went to Ms. Ou Lihua’s home at 3:30 p.m. on August 16, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, truth-clarifying materials, etc. Ms. Ou was taken away. It is unknown where she is detained.

10. [Beijing] Mr. Tan Shouli Arrested

Mr. Tan Shouli was arrested by officers from the Liqiao Police Station in Shunyi District on March 6, 2022. He has been detained in the Shunyi District Detention Center. His home has been under police surveillance since then.

11. [Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Cuigui Harassed

Ms. Li Cuigui was tricked into going to the Wantongyuan Hostel by Zhan Jianjun, deputy of the Politic and Legal Affairs Committee on August 2, 2022. She was forced to have blood samples taken. Ms. Li went to local police station for her ID card on August 8, 2022. She was forced to have her photo and blood taken. Ms. Li was informed on August 16 that the police would soon come to her home to photograph her and to collect her signature.

12. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three practitioners from Tukouzi Township of Qingyuan County were arrested by officers from the Dagujia Town Police Station on July 30, 2022 for hanging a banner that promoted Falun Gong. They are Ms. Zhang Guiping, Mr. Zhu Zhongdai, and Mr. Jiang Yongsheng. Their homes were ransacked and their personal belongings were confiscated. Mr. Jiang, 70, was released the next day. Ms. Zhang and Mr. Zhu were placed under 15-day administrative detention. Mr. Zhu has been released. Ms. Zhang, 67, was placed under criminal detention and is still detained.

13. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Five practitioners were arrested at a practitioner’s home. Two practitioners were released on the same day. Zhao Tieyan, Liu Yu, and Lyu Xinghua have been detained in the Tieling City Detention House.

14. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tang Zengye Officially Arrested

Ms. Tang Zengye, who works in the No. 3 Old Production Plant, was arrested by officers from the Dong’an Police Department on July 12, 2022. She has been detained in a detention center since then. Ms. Tang started a hunger strike and is now very weak. She was force fed. Ms. Tang has now been officially arrested.

15. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Su Yuanxiang Arrested

Three officers broke into Ms. Su Yuanxiang’s home at around 6 a.m. on July 12, 2022. They arrested Ms. Su and ransacked her home. They confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, two computers, two printers, and other items. Ms. Su was taken to the Gaoxin District Police Department for interrogation. Her husband was called to the police department that afternoon and was forced to sign the document on bail pending trial.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Qiru Harassed

Three people including Gu Jun, a government official, went to Ms. Yang Qiru’s home around 7 a.m. on August 2, 2022. Later more people came including police, a doctor, and others. The police officers ransacked her home and confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, 10 yuan in paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts, a cell phone, and other items. They videotaped around and forced her to sign some papers. They repeatedly slapped her face during the process.

17. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Luan Changhui Taken to Prison

Mr. Luan Changhui, a 51-year-old boat engineer, was arrested at work on July 20, 2021. He was sentenced to four years and fined 20,000 yuan by the Lianshan District Court on November 30, 2021. He appealed to the Huludao City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold his original verdict on January 25, 2022. He was taken to the Shenyang No. 1 Prison on August 6, 2022.

18. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yulan Taken to Prison

Ms. Wang Yulan was arrested on July 9, 2021. She was sentenced to two years by the Linghai City Court on December 15. She appealed to the Jinzhou City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict. She was taken to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on August 2, 2022.

19. [Xingyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Nie Junhua Imprisoned for Two Months

Ms. Nie Junhua, 70, was sentenced to five years in December 2021. Even though she had serious medical conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, and uterine fibroids, the authorities still took her to the Xinxiang Women's Prison in June 2022 to serve time. Her family, who are not allowed to visit her, are very worried about her.

20. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Gangli Taken to Prison

Ms. Liu Gangli was sentenced to four and a half years on August 10, 2021 for distributing Falun Gong materials. When her family recently made a cash deposit for her at the detention center, they were surprised to find that her account had been closed. After calling the detention center, they were told that she was transferred to the Liaoning Province No. 2 Women's Prison, yet the authorities refused to provide more details about her and the prison also denied her family's visitation request.

21. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Xinmin Transferred to Tailai Prison

Mr. Wang Xinmin, a 73-year-old retired senior agronomist who worked for the Heilongjiang Tobacco Research Institute, was sentenced to four and a half years and fined 5,000 yuan in November 2021. He was taken to the training ward at Mudanjiang Prison in May 2022 and transferred to the ward for elderly detainees in Tailai Prison a month later.
