Las Vegas, USA: Rally Celebrates 400 Million People Quitting Chinese Communist Party Organizations

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held a rally on the Las Vegas Strip on August 13, 2022, to support the 400 million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. 

Tourists commended practitioners for the milestone and condemned the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong.

In November 2004, The Epoch Times published a series of editorials, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, which described the brutality and deception of communism. A trend of withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations then emerged. The number of withdrawals has now exceeded 400 million. 

To celebrate this historic moment, Falun Gong practitioners in Las Vegas held a banner with the words “Support the 400 million people who quit the Chinese Communist Party” on the famous strip.

Volunteers who help people quit the CCP told passersby about the crimes of the CCP. Tourists from all over the world signed a petition to show their support for the withdrawals. A family of four signed the petition and expressed their support for Falun Gong by giving thumbs up.

A computer engineer from Belgium who lives in San Francisco said, “I know that the CCP is very evil, and I also know that the CCP persecutes Falun Gong.” 

He said he fully supports people pursuing their right to freedom and equality.

Tom, a volunteer who participated in the event that day, usually uses the Internet to inform Chinese people about the persecution by the CCP. He said that 400 million withdrawals was a special event, a big awakening movement, and a major milestone.

“In the face of the CCP’s persecution, Falun Gong practitioners courageously spoke out, helping people understand the evil nature of the CCP and helping them quit the wicked CCP organizations,” he said. 

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why is the CCP persecuting it?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
