(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 11 provinces, where at least 62 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Su Guixiu Faces Trial

Ms. Su Guixiu was arrested by officers from the Wangsheren Town Police Station in the Licheng District in early December of 2021 for distributing information about Falun Gong. The case against her was submitted to the Zhangqiu Court. She was scheduled to be tried in court at 9:30 a.m. on July 26, 2022.

2. [Da’an City, Jilin Province] Ms. Dong Baorong and Ms. Li Ying Arrested

Practitioners, including Ms. Dong Baorong and Ms. Li Ying, 80, have been arrested by officers from the Jinhua Police Station in the Huiyang District since July 15, 2022. Those who have been released are under surveillance. The police tried to arrest anyone who tried to contact those practitioners.

3. [Anyang City, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

A mass arrest was conducted on the afternoon of July 11, 2022 and many practitioners were arrested at their homes. At this time it is known that four practitioners including Sun Zhiqing from Wenfeng District, Ms. Li Fuying, Ms. Li Fuqin, and Ms. Su Lifen, were arrested. Sun Zhiqing and Ms. Li Fuying are held in a detention center. It is unknown where the other two practitioners are detained.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yin Jun Detained

Ms. Yin Jun was sentenced to two years and ten months in prison and has been detained in the No. 4 Detention Center for more than two years. She has appealed her case.

5. [Kangping County, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Two practitioners were recorded by surveillance cameras a few days ago when they put up stickers. They were followed by police. Six practitioners were then arrested on the evening of July 15, 2022. They are Ms. Fu Haiyan, Ms. Sun Yanchun, Ms. Gao Shujuan, Mr. Qi Like, Lu Yuming, and Wan Daihong.

6. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Jin Yunbi and Ms. Wang Guoxia Arrested

Ms. Jin Yunbi was arrested near her home on the morning of April 25, 2022. The police searched her. The six officers ransacked her home and confiscated 71 Falun Gong books, a CD player, two CD recorders, five media players, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, several Falun posters, amulets, etc. Ms. Jin was taken to the Xiaohe District Police Department for interrogation. She was released at 11 p.m. the next day.

Ms. Wang Guoxiu, a retiree from the Westsouth Tool Factory, was arrested by plainclothes officers on the morning of April 25, 2022. They searched her bag and found over 50 yuan in paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong and three amulets. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, CDs, media player, more than 400 yuan in paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, three amulets, one desk calendar, and one wall poster. Ms. Wang was taken to the Xiaohe District Police Department, but was released next evening.

7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] 15 Practitioners Arrested or Harassed

Eight practitioners in the Babaishang Residential Community of the Honggang District were arrested by officers from the Dongguang Police Department in the Longfeng District on the morning of July 12, 2022. They are Ms. Li Bingying, 73, Ms. Kang, over 70, Ms. Ma, over 70, Ms. Xie Chengqiu, over 60, Mr. Zhang, over 70, Mr. Luo, over 70, Mr. Shi Junmin and his wife, both over 70. The police ransacked the practitioners’ homes and confiscated their Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. The practitioners were all released that afternoon.

Practitioner Liu from the Shaertu District was arrested by police on July 12, 2022. Liu’s home was ransacked. Liu was released in the afternoon.

Four officers, including Qi Wu from the Dongguang Police Department in Longfeng District, went to Ms. Wu Yumei’s home around 10 a.m. on July 12, 2022. They confiscated one Falun Gong book and took Ms. Wu to the police department. Ms. Wu was released later.

Four officers arrested Ms. Zhang Xiufen when she was returning home and was opening her door around 11 a.m. on July 12, 2022. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, a media player, paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong, etc. Ms. Zhang was taken to the police department for interrogation, but was released later that day.

Four officers arrested Da Jinzi (gender unknown) when Da was returning home. The police ransacked Da’s home and confiscated some personal belongings. Da Jinzi was taken to the police department for interrogation and released later that day. Da Jinzi was told not to leave the city.

Ms. Jia was harassed at home by police on July 12, 2022.

8. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Eight practitioners were arrested on July 11, 2022. They are Ms. Li Zhuying, Ms. Sun Yanhua, Ms. Cao Jinhui, Mr. Liu Yunxiang, Ms. Li Jinying, Ms. Yao Lina, Ms. Cao Fengmin, and Ms. Zhang Qiulan. Mr. Liu Yunxiang, nearly 80, was placed under criminal arrest. Four practitioners, Ms. Li Jinying, Ms. Yao Lina, Ms. Cao Fengmin, and Ms. Zhang Qiulan, were released on July 18, 2022. Three practitioners, Ms. Li Zhuying, Ms. Sun Yanhua and Ms. Cao Jinhui, were placed in a detention center for 15 days.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Wang Jian Arrested

Wang Jian (gender unknown) from Bin County was arrested recently. It was learned that Wang has now been formally arrested.

10. [Chongqing] The Case Against Ms. Zhou Ruijuan Submitted to the Procuratorate

Ms. Zhou Ruijuan from the Fenghuangwan Community in the Jiangbei District was arrested by officers from the Taiyanggou Police Station in April 2022 but was later released. She received a notice recently that her case was submitted to the procuratorate.

11. [Chiping County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three practitioners, Xu Hua (gender unknown), Ms. Wang Genlan and Ms. Yang Xiuying, were arrested by officers from the Qingping Police Station in Gaotang County on July 15, 2022. Ms. Yang Xiuying has been released. Xu Hua and Ms. Wang Genlan would be detained for 10 days.

12. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Two Family Members Arrested

The home of Mr. Chen Zhilong and his wife Ms. Sheng Liyun was ransacked by officers from the Huizhuang Police Department in the Sartu District on July 12, 2022. Their son Mr. Chen Lei, who used to practice Falun Gong, was arrested at his workplace on the same day as well as their daughter Ms. Chen Rong. Ms. Chen Rong’s home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. Mr. Chen Lei and Ms. Chen Rong were released in the evening.

13. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang and Ms. Li Arrested

Ms. Zhang and Ms. Li from Jingcheng Community in Gaoxin District, both around 60, were arrested around 6 a.m. on July 12, 2022. Their homes were ransacked. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials. The two practitioners are being detained in a detention center.

14. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Guanxiu Harassed

Three officers from the Longhua Police Department in Shenzhen City went to Ms. Li Guanxiu’s home in Meixian District on the morning of July 7, 2022. They videotaped and photographed her, and threatened to take her to Shenzhen city for a trial.

15. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Shi Yingfang Arrested

Several officers including Xu Jing, head of Ke District Domestic Security Division and Li Qing, went to Ms. Shi Yingfang’s home on July 18, 2022. They ransacked her home and arrested her.

16. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yin Xiulan and Ms. Xu Ying Arrested

Ms. Yin Xiulan, about 80, lives in Changxi, Longfeng District. The police went to her home on July 12, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and her notebooks. Ms. Yin and her daughter Ms. Xu Ying were arrested. They were released later.

17. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tao Fangzhi Harassed

Yan Dingji, security director of the Chaoyang Neighborhood Committee in Qianhu Town of Junshan District, and a few others went to the home where Ms. Tao Fangzhi worked as a house helper taking care of an over-90-year-old elderly, on the morning of July 12, 2022. They confiscated two copies of Zhuan Falun. Ms. Tao went to the neighborhood committee office and tried to get the books back. One of the staff members beat Ms. Tao. The director Yan Dingji called the police. Four officers from the Qianhu Town Police Station came and took Ms. Tao to her home. They ransacked her home and confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder and other personal belongings.

18. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Eight practitioners were arrested by officers from the Chenguan Police Station and the Hunyuan County Police Department, in June 2022. They are Mr. Han Zhiqiang, Ms. Shi Meiqin, Yang, Wang Lishi and four other practitioners. Wang Lishi was detained for 15 days and has been released. The other seven practitioners are still detained.

19. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Zhou Lichun Arrested

Zhou Lichun (gender unknown) from the Haizhou District was arrested and is detained in the Haizhou District Detention Center.
