Police Use Torture Device to Sexually Assault Teacher for Upholding Her Faith, Family in Australia Calls for Her Rescue

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a press conference in front of the Chinese Consulate in Melbourne on August 15, 2022. They condemned the crimes of  Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents who tortured Ms. Jiang Yongqin, a practitioner who refused to renounce her faith after the CCP launched the persecution of the practice in July 1999. 

Her family said that the police and torture experts used a recently-developed torture kit to sexually assault and torture her. During the press conference her family demanded that the CCP immediately release Ms. Jiang and stop persecuting practitioners. They also demanded that the police officers and torture experts involved be held responsible for their crimes. 

Ms. Jiang, 53, of Jilin City, Jilin Province, was a lecturer at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, and won many awards for her outstanding performance. She is also a mother of three.

Ms. Jiang’s husband, Mr. Xiong Qi, and their two daughters fled China years ago to avoid the persecution. They currently reside in Melbourne. During the conference Mr. Xiong who is also a practitioner, described how the CCP recently persecuted his wife. The police took Ms. Jiang from her home on June 12, 2022 and refused to allow her family to visit her. On the afternoon of July 7 (or July 8), the police covered Ms. Jiang’s head with a black hood, plugged her ears, and took her to a secret facility. The police then systematically sexually assaulted her. 

Multiple Police Arrests and Detention Over the Years 

During the press conference on August 15, 2022 Mr. Xiong Qi described how the police in China tortured his wife Ms. Jiang Yongqing. 

Mr. Xiong said at the press conference, “As her husband, when an insider told me how my wife was tortured, it felt like someone stabbed me in the chest. 

“The Chinese regime has repeatedly harassed, arrested, detained, and tortured this good teacher, good wife, and good mother. Our family never had one day of peace. 

A group of officers broke into Ms. Jiang’s home at 7:30 a.m. on June 12 and arrested her, her 8-year-old daughter, and her parent. Her cell phone and computer were confiscated. The police then ransacked her relatives’ homes and confiscated their phones and computers, and arrested all of them. Everyone was released on the same day, except for Ms. Jiang. The police put her in a hotel room, where they monitored her around the clock. 

“They abused my wife with a torture kit, which had toothpicks, strange instruments, drug bottles, aphrodisiacs, and electrical wires. These are all horrific torture instruments that will make the victim rather be dead than alive.

“Four men participated in my wife’s torture. Two of them were special agents from the Jilin Province Department of Public Security: one of them was a torture expert and the other his assistant. The other two were officers from Jilin City National Security. 

“The police force-fed mustard water into her nose and inserted lit cigarettes into her nose. One broke half way in and they left part of the cigarette in her nasal cavity, which she later coughed out. 

“Seeing that she wouldn’t yield, the police began to sexually assault her with a special instrument. After they found that she was menstruating, the so-called expert ordered the police to continue. 

“They tortured her for two hours, and she collapsed. That night the police took her to the Xin’an Police Station and took her deposition. They transferred her to the Shulan Detention Center on July 21. 

“The expert told her that they would leave the kit at the interrogation site just for her until she gave them the information they wanted.

“There are certain restrictions on using the kit; but, when it comes to Falun Dafa practitioners, they can use it whenever they like.”

Australian Government Should Hold CCP Accountable 

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Marc Bateman said that the CCP targets female practitioners, and promotes sexual violence as a means of torture. Coming up with such torture indicates that the Chinese Communist regime has no bottom line when it comes to violating human rights. 

Mr. Marc Bateman called on the Australian government to hold the CCP accountable for human rights violations during a press conference on August 15, 2022.

Mr. Bateman said that in Australia, a rapist could face up to ten years in prison, and in China, a rapist gets the death penalty. “Unfortunately the crime is committed against the people by those who are supposed to protect the people.”

“In a democratic society, the police protect communities and ensure the well-being of their citizens. In China, the CCP instructs its police to sexually assault prisoners of conscience in order to force them to renounce their faith, freedom, and humanity.” 

He demanded the CCP immediately stop all forms of torture, including sexual assault, against Falun Dafa practitioners and other prisoners of conscience. He urged the CCP to immediately release Ms. Jiang and the numerous incarcerated Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience. He then called on the Australian government and the international society to hold the CCP responsible for these crimes against humanity. 

Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance Bring Justice 

Mr. Hu Zhongnan, deputy secretary of the Melbourne Democracy Alliance, said at the press conference, “We are saddened upon hearing of Ms. Jiang Yongqin’s horrible experience. The CCP has long been systemically destroying various religious groups in China in order to maintain its dictatorship.”

Born and raised in China, Mr. Hu said he witnessed tragedies which happened under the CCP’s reign. He said that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong is beyond what human morality can tolerate. “To attack a group like Falun Gong, which does no harm, but all good to a society, is cruel, and reveals the evil nature of the CCP.”

“The principles of Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, are the forces that bring out justice in society. They are the mainstream values in the world. 

“Only if we end the CCP’s reign can we truly welcome the spring of religious freedom,” Mr. Hu said.

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
