Negate Interference from Dreams

(Minghui.org) As Falun Dafa disciples, we may encounter interferences in all aspects of our cultivation, and many of them come in the form of messages that are not easily recognized as interferences, such as those in dreams.　

Practitioner Xia often has dreams and some of the things in her dreams did become reality. For instance, once she dreamed of being arrested and she was indeed arrested a few days later. She thus cared a great deal about her dreams and took the messages in her dreams very seriously, even using them as a reminder to her cultivation and following them to think and do things. After having a dream about one practitioner being arrested, she was scared and kept a distance from him.

Upon hearing about her situation, I feel this is a serious issue in our cultivation. No matter what situation we encounter, we should always measure ourselves against the Fa, not the dreams; otherwise, the old forces can easily exploit our loophole to interfere with us.

Master told us:

“Your altered path of life is not allowed to be seen by others. If it is seen by others or if you are told when you will have a tribulation, how can you cultivate? Therefore, it is not permitted to be seen at all. Nobody from other schools of cultivation is allowed to see it, either. Even fellow disciples from the same school of cultivation are not allowed to see it. No one will be able to tell it correctly, because a life like that has been changed and is one for cultivation.” (Lecture Six, Zhuan Falun)

Our cultivation path is arranged by Master Li (Dafa’s founder), and only Master can know the full picture of it. Master did not arrange the persecution, so why did the persecution in the aforementioned practitioner’s dream become reality? It was arranged by the old forces and it’s probably the old forces that sent the message to her in her dream.

Master warned us:

“The old forces have arranged for all Dafa disciples a set of their things, so if a Dafa disciple doesn’t follow Master’s requirements, he must be following the old forces’ arrangements.” (“Be Clearheaded,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)

If one failed to follow Master’s arrangement but walked the path arranged by the old forces, then it may not come as a surprise that their dreams come true.

Everything we’ve done in validating the Fa is something that has never existed in the past. It’s not in the old forces’ script and it’s also impossible for them to know everything related to the new cosmos.

When Xia believed the persecution she saw in her dream, she was affected by it and created unnecessary difficulties for herself.

Another practitioner Yu also had a dream: he was studying the Fa with a group of people when the police broke in. He hid the book and was then arrested with the others. He then woke up.

He was shocked when he thought about the dream, “What was going on? Why did I have such a dream?” He sat up and began sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the interference: “What the evil can affect is the human heart. The postnatally formed notions and attachments are the things I need to cultivate away.”

Two years have passed and the things he dreamed of never happened. He was able to negate and eliminate the old forces’ arrangement and his fear on the basis of the Fa. The old forces’ interference then became just an illusion.

We are cultivating in Dafa and should look within on the basis of Fa, not on the basis of the tribulations arranged by the old forces.
