Blind Practitioner in Her 60s Can Recite Zhuan Falun

(Minghui.org) I went to a practitioner’s home to give her Master Li’s new articles and two issues of Minghui Weekly. The practitioner and her two sisters, all in their 60s, were doing the Falun Dafa exercises when I arrived. Upon seeing me, the youngest sister said, “Let’s read the Fa.”

The second and third sisters were both persecuted in forced labor camps. The second sister was blinded during the persecution. After great effort she memorized the Fa. She is able to recite all of Hong Yin to Hong Yin V. Last year, she memorized Zhuan Falun. This year she started to memorize Zhuan Falun from the back to the front and had reached the sixth lecture. She was not memorizing just a few sentences, paragraphs, or articles, she was memorizing a book of more than 300 pages!

I knew that when the three sisters read the Fa together, the second sister always recited the Fa when it was her turn because she could not see. So I suggested, “Today let's the three of us just listen and let Second Sister recite the Fa.” It was time to read Lecture Eight. The second sister recited Lecture Eight word for word from beginning to end in a little more than an hour.

She was accurate and articulated clearly and fluently when she recited. I listened to her attentively. I was both moved and ashamed. We, who can see clearly, still make mistakes when we read Zhuan Falun. We make mistakes even when we just recite Lunyu. We sometimes spend about an hour and a half to read a lecture. I lag far behind this practitioner in studying the Fa.

I asked the second sister how she accomplished memorizing the Fa. She said that because she couldn’t see, her younger sister or elder sister read the book to her every afternoon. “I listen carefully and memorize it by heart,” she said. “After they read a sentence or a paragraph a few times, I can almost memorize it.”

“I asked Master to strengthen me every day,” she continued. “I asked Master to strengthen me and bless me with extraordinary wisdom and a great memory.”

My experience while reading the Fa with the three sisters that day was so moving. I realized Master’s compassion and the sacredness of Dafa that gave her extraordinary wisdom and memory, so that she could memorize the Fa so fluently and clearly. I thought it was also because her xinxing had reached the standard, and she had great perseverance. This is the result of her belief in Master and the Fa.

Master said, 

“Solid Cultivation

Study Fa, obtain Fa,Compare in studying, compare in cultivating,Examine each and every deed,Accomplishing is cultivating.”(Hong Yin)

I have only memorized and recited Zhuan Falun once, and I will continue to memorize and recite it. I feel I need to continue striving forward so I can one day do as well as the second sister.
