Additional Persecution News from China – July 28, 2022 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 33 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yao Peishan Sentenced to One and a Half Years in Prison
2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Ms. Duan Guixiu Submitted to Court
3. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cheng Wei and Mr. Li Yuchun Arrested and Detained
4. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Lei Yandong Arrested

6. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Li Ya Arrested
7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Bi Qinghua and Ms. Sun Limin Arrested and Detained

13. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

1. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yao Peishan Sentenced to One and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Yao Peishan was tried in court on July 27, 2022. She was sentenced to one and a half years in prison and fined 5000 yuan.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Ms. Duan Guixiu Submitted to Court

The case against Ms. Duan Guixiu from the Huangdao District was submitted to the Huangdao District Court on July 19, 2022.

3. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cheng Wei and Mr. Li Yuchun Arrested and Detained

Mr. Cheng Wei and Mr. Li Yuchun were reported to police on July 24, 2022 for talking to people about Falun Gong near Bajiazi in the Tiexi District. They were arrested by officers from the Bajiazi Police Station. Their homes were ransacked. They are being detained in the Xiuyan Detention Center.

4. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Lei Yandong Arrested

Lei Yandong lives in Zhaoyu Village, Mengyin Town, Mengyin County. A village official called Lei to the village office and was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station. Lei was released later that day.

5. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Xiling Detained

Mr. Zhang Xiling from the Xidingzhuang Village of Songlin Town is currently detained in the Guan County Detention Center.

6. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Li Ya Arrested

Li Ya was arrested on the evening of July 25, 2022.

7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Bi Qinghua and Ms. Sun Limin Arrested and Detained

Ms. Bi Qinghua from the Daowai District was followed by police and was arrested on July 13, 2022. When the police searched her, they found the key to Ms. Sun Limin’s home. They went there and arrested Ms. Sun Limin.

Ms. Bi Qinghua was detained for 15 days and will be released on July 28, 2022. Ms. Sun Limin was detained for 10 days and has been released.

8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested or Harassed

Ms. Liu Li and Liu Xingyun from Longfeng District were harassed by police on July 12, 2022. Ms. Liu Li was arrested and taken to the Development District Police Department. She was released later that day.

Ms. Li Guilian, 84, was harassed at home by officers from the Longnan District Police Department on July 12, 2022. The police opened her door with a key and entered her home. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and a media player.

9. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Jie Arrested and Detained

Ms. Li Jie was recently arrested and is detained in the Yanji City Detention Center.

10. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] 14 Practitioners Detained

Fourteen female practitioners are detained in the No.2 Detention Center. Seven practitioners are from Shijiazhuang City including Ms. Wang Bingcheng, Ms. Liu Peng, Ms. Ma Yinhuan, Ms. Pu Xingchi, Ms. Liu Shunzhi, Ms. Liang Yening, and Ms. Hu Yuexia. Seven are from Shenzhe County including Ms. Jiao Yaqin, Ms. Ma Tongxin, Ms. Liu Xiaomiao, Ms. Liu Yuru, Ms. He Hongyan, Ms. Tian Xuan, and Ms. Yuan Wenge.

11. [Boye County, Hebei Province] Jiang Xiaoxin and Yang Xiaodiao Arrested

Jiang Xiaoxin and Yang Xiaodiao were arrested in the Zhangjiaying Market by plainclothes officers on July 24, 2022. Their homes were ransacked. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books, computer, printer, and photo of Falun Gong’s founder from Jiang’s home. They confiscated more than 400 yuan in paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong from Yang’s home. Both practitioners were fined 2500 yuan and were released the next day.

12. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Fan Qiuwen Harassed

Officers from the Changxing Street Police Station in Qiaoxi District including Li Guoqiang, head of the police station, and Xie Zhi, went to Ms. Fan Qiuwen’s home on July 26, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder.

13. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Song Pingxiu and Ms. Yu Hongying were arrested by officers who monitored them on the morning of July 15, 2022. Ms. Zhao Yulin was arrested at almost the same time by officers who followed her. The practitioners’ homes were ransacked. Their Falun Gong books and computers were confiscated.

Ms. Song Pingxiu and Ms. Zhao Yulin were released on bail early the next morning. Ms. Yu Hongying is detained in the Xichang City Detention Center.
