(Minghui.org) Mr. Fu Canhua is in his late 70s. He lives in Xinggang Village, Konglong Town, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. He began to practice Falun Dafa, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline, in 1998. Soon after, he recovered from cancer without medical treatment. Because of his positive experience with Falun Dafa, he never wavered in his faith after the Chinese Communist Party launched a nationwide campaign against the practice in 1999.
While applying for a new ID card at the township social security bureau office on the morning of April 27, 2022, Mr. Fu took the opportunity to debunk the CCP’s slanderous propaganda against Falun Dafa to the staff members, only to be reported. The police arrived at Xinggang Village that afternoon and asked the village director to take them to Mr. Fu’s home, without explaining why.
On the way to Mr. Fu’s home, the police revealed that they intended to arrest Mr. Fu. The village director objected immediately. “Oh no. You can't do that,” he said. “He is the best in our village. He has done so many good deeds in our village.” Just a few years ago, Mr. Fu donated 10,000 yuan to help build canals and cement roads for the village.
Mr. Fu wasn’t home when the police came. His door was closed but not locked. The police first tore down the Falun Dafa couplet on his front door, and then pushed the door open and rummaged around, snatching his Falun Dafa books and other related materials, before driving away.
The next morning, Mr. Fu went to the police station to demand that the police return his Dafa books. He spent several hours clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa and urged the officers not to participate in the persecution. The police understood him and returned all the confiscated books and materials to him.
