[Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day] My Aunt in Her 90s Survives Two Medical Crises by Reciting Falun Dafa Phrases

(Minghui.org) I have an aunt who is in her late 90s and lives with her only daughter and son-in-law. She was diagnosed with esophageal cancer at 94 and had her femur fractured at 97. Both times the doctors had given up treating her due to her age, but she recovered each time by reciting the auspicious phrases “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

Esophageal Cancer at Age 94

When my aunt was 94, one day she began having difficulty swallowing food. Her daughter took her to the hospital, where she was found to have a tumor in her esophagus. But due to her advanced age, the doctors didn’t feel comfortable operating on her and discharged her.

She couldn’t eat anything after returning home. She even choked on water, so she relied on nutrient injections to sustain her life.

Upon hearing about her condition, one of her nieces, who also practices Falun Dafa just like me, came to visit her. My aunt’s face was extremely pale. She was so weak that she couldn’t open her eyes. Her niece knelt in front of her bed and said to her, “Dafa can save you. Many people who were diagnosed with terminal diseases recovered by reciting the phrases ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ You can try it and recite the phrases in your heart.”

With a very weak voice, my aunt said, “OK.”

Her niece recited the phrases for more than twenty minutes. My aunt was quietly following her, with slight movement of her lips.

On the next evening, my aunt suddenly stopped breathing. Her daughter cried for her mother to wake up. My aunt came to after a while and started coughing non-stop. Then her daughter noted she had coughed out the tumor! Her daughter brought her some water to rinse her mouth, and she drank it without any problem. Her daughter burst into tears, “My mom is fine now! Dafa’s Master saved my mom! Thank you, Dafa Master!”

Walking Again After Femur Fracture at 97

My aunt fell while using the restroom when she was 97 years old. She had enormous pain in her leg and was unable to stand. After having an X-ray, she was found to have a fractured femur. But also because of her advanced age, the doctors didn’t want to operate on her and sent her home.

Her niece called me the next day, asking if I could go visit my aunt as she didn’t have time herself. As my home was about 100 miles from my aunt’s, it took me almost an entire day to get to her place, after changing buses twice. When I saw my aunt, she was lying in bed and her face was sallow.

Her daughter told me that my aunt was unable to take the injection and she also refused to eat. My aunt said she felt pain everywhere. I reminded her to recite the Falun Dafa auspicious phrases. As I was reciting the phrases with her, I felt strong energy around me. I knew that Master was helping my aunt again.

When it was time to have dinner, my aunt was already feeling much better. She sat up and had a small bowl of noodles and an egg. Her daughter was very happy. She said she was worried about my aunt since she hadn’t had anything to eat in three days.

After dinner, my aunt still felt good, and instead of lying down again, she chatted with me about my family’s situation. She said her leg no longer hurt, but she still had some discomfort around her thigh. I then read Dafa books to her. She was interested and could understand what the book was talking about. The next day she was able to walk slowly along the wall to the restroom by herself.

During the eleven days I stayed at my aunt’s home, I recited the phrases with her three times a day, each time for half an hour. I read Dafa books to her the rest of the time. She recovered quickly. Her son-in-law got a walker for her and she could walk better.

When her daughter took her to the hospital for an examination one month later, the doctor was stunned to see that my aunt could walk on her own, as he could still see the fracture in the X-ray. “It’s just amazing! She must have been protected by the divine!” exclaimed the doctor.

After witnessing my aunt’s miraculous recovery, her sister, who was a member of the Chinese Communist Party, asked me to help her quit the CCP. My aunt’s other family members, including her daughter, were also amazed by Dafa’s healing power. Her daughter even said she would like to learn Dafa as well.
