(Minghui.org) May 13 is World Falun Dafa Day, and this year marked the 30th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction. Falun Dafa is now practiced in over 100 countries.
A blue Falun Dafa Day flag was raised in front of Milwaukee’s City Hall along with the U.S. flag on the morning of May 11, 2022, to celebrate the 30th anniversary. Milwaukee is the largest city in Wisconsin. The flag raising ceremony was conducted for five consecutive days.

You are Doing Heavenly Things
Practitioners in Milwaukee celebrated World Falun Dafa Day by doing the exercises and talking to people about Falun Gong on May 13. They did the exercises in the city center beside Lake Michigan, talked to passers-by, distributed information about Falun Dafa and collected signatures on a petition to end the persecution.

Two young girls stopped and asked a practitioner what Falun Dafa was and why she was collecting signatures. After listening to the practitioner’s explanation of Falun Dafa and why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is persecuting it, they understood the issue and wished to sign the petition. However, all the forms for signatures were full. They were given a link where they could sign online. They left happily.
A man was sad when he heard about the CCP’s atrocity of organ harvesting from practitioners while they were still alive. When he learned that practitioners have been exposing the persecution and raising awareness of the CCP’s brutality for 23 years, he said, “You are doing heavenly things. Please keep up doing this.”
Elected Officials Proclaim Falun Dafa Day
Mayor Cavalier Johnson of Milwaukee proclaimed May 13th Falun Dafa Day in the city.
The proclamation reads, “Falun Dafa is a peaceful spiritual practice that consists of two main components, which are self-improvement through the study of teachings and gentle exercises and mediation.”
“Falun Dafa is practiced worldwide and easily accessible through the internet and community organized classes.”

Jose G. Perez, President of the Common Council of Milwaukee, and other eight members of the council jointly issued a resolution to celebrate Falun Dafa Day. The resolution reads, “Falun Dafa transcends cultural boundaries and contributes to a healthier and more peaceful society, and tens of millions of people from diverse cultures in more than 100 countries, including the United States, benefit from practicing Falun Gong, where the teachings help people improve their mental, moral and physical wellbeing; and
“Worldwide recognition of Falun Dafa has included thousands of proclamations and greetings from government officials for its cross-cultural promotion of universal principles and contribution to a more healthy, peaceful, tolerant and compassionate society; and
“The raising of the Falun Dafa Flag at City Hall is celebrating its 30th anniversary and was to allow the flag to fly in recognition of Falun Dafa’s contribution to the improvement of personal and physical well-being world-wide.”

Proclamation from Dane County Executive Joe Parisi
Dane County Executive Joe Parisi issued a proclamation recognizing May 13 as Falun Dafa Day throughout the county. The proclamation reads, “Falun Dafa highlights the steadfast commitment to improving health in mind, body, and spirit, enhancing the well-being of people from all walks of society who follow its principles.”

Mayor Shawn Reilly of the City of Waukesha also proclaimed May 13th as Falun Dafa Day. The proclamation stated, “Falun Dafa emphasizes improving health in the mind, body and spirit, eliminating attachments and ultimately achieving spiritual enlightenment.”
Letter from State Senator André Jacque
State Senator André Jacque sent a greeting letter to celebrate the 30th anniversary. He stated, “You celebrate truthfulness, compassion and forbearance and stand in solidarity with those still being persecuted today for adhering to the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa or Falun Gong in the People’s Republic of China.
“The efforts of your organization here in Wisconsin and at the Federal level to, in particular, educate others and express concern over the persistent and credible reports of systematic, state-sanctioned, forced organ harvesting from nonconsenting prisoners of conscience, including Falun Dafa practitioners imprisoned for their spiritual beliefs and members of other religious and ethnic minority groups in the People’s Republic of China are commendable.
“The revelation by international tribunals of the Chinese Communist Party’s use of prisoner of conscience as a living organ band is horrifying. I am pleased to join with many colleagues in the Wisconsin Federal Delegation in standing with these efforts to highlight, educate, and hopefully bring to an end the practice of forced organ harvesting. I have been proud to introduce Wisconsin legislative resolutions to officially draw attention to this horrific persecution in China. As a staunch defender of religious liberty, I believe that no person should be persecuted and subject to arrest by their government for the peaceful practice of their spiritual beliefs, such as has been experienced by adherents to Falun Dafa.”
