(Minghui.org) I am a salesperson in the service sector. I was not good at talking, I was impatient, and I hardly socialized. In today’s society, socializing and networking are key for success. However, a salesperson like me would have a company worried.
As a Falun Dafa practitioner, the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are the fundamentals I follow. No matter what I do, as long as I follow the requirements of Dafa, I can excel in my job.
Booming Business
Bao, a buyer at a Taiwanese company, was my first client. Although he worked for a small company and had little business for me, I still followed every transaction from beginning to end. Any time a job was not being done well enough, I would correct it in time and try not to bring losses to customers. My conscientious and meticulous work ethic made Bao more and more confident in dealing with me.
Master said:
“You should always be benevolent and kind to others, and consider others when doing anything. Whenever you encounter a problem, you should first consider whether others can put up with this matter or if it will hurt anyone. In doing so, there will not be any problems. Therefore, in cultivation practice you should follow a higher and higher standard for yourself.” (Lecture Four in Zhuan Falun)
I constantly provided better services, improved economic gain and savings for my customers, and allowed them to maximize their profits.
Bao left the company a year later. It didn’t take long for him to call me and say that he had moved to a large private company, and the company was looking for a service provider that could offer more competitive prices. I readjusted my quotes and reduced my profit margin to provide him with more favorable costs.
We soon started doing business, on a small scale at first, but later growing to provide services for over half of their business.
The private company Bao worked for was soon acquired by an international company. What was even more unexpected was that when the international company learned about our services, they replaced their previous supplier and moved to ours for most of their business. These two companies became my most consistent long-term customers.
During this period of time, a Dafa practitioner and I worked together to clarify the truth to Bao. He was shocked to hear of the horrific ordeals we went through under the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa. He surfed overseas websites that night by breaking through China’s Internet firewall to learn more about Falun Dafa. He soon realized that what he had heard in China before was only lies and propaganda against Dafa.
Bao quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Anyone who quits the Party is blessed, and Bao was no exception. He soon got a job in a larger company. Half a year later, I heard a familiar voice over the phone. Bao was already an international procurement manager in that company and was responsible for three branches. He again asked me to provide quotations for their business. When I heard this, I couldn’t stop smiling.
As long as I follow Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to improve my cultivation and be a good person who can truly consider others first, the sense of responsibility naturally ran through my work. High-quality service and mutual trust naturally bring in a client’s business wherever they go.
I have worked with Bao for the past 10 years. Since 2019, the company he worked for has become my most profitable client.
A Colleague Hears Compliments about Us
One evening in late 2019, a woman called me and said: “Our manager, Ming, asked me to contact you. We have business for you.” I was quite puzzled since I had never heard of this company or Ming.
I answered her questions patiently and meticulously. I went to work the next day, and jokingly talked about it with a salesperson from the international company Bao worked for. He was surprised when he heard Ming’s name. It turned out that Ming was the previous manager of another department in their company and had just quit the position.
I hurried to find Ming’s phone number and got in touch with her. Ming said she often heard compliments about our services from colleagues at her previous company. After she moved to the new company, the original supplier couldn’t help with her current business, so she asked her subordinate to contact me, hoping that I could help her.
Epilogue
Since I started sales in 2006, my performance has steadily improved each year. In 2020, due to the coronavirus outbreak, various industries came upon really hard times. However, several companies that I work with actually doubled their revenue in that year, and my annual sales were also the highest in the company’s history.
My relatives and friends couldn’t understand how I could do such good business. An honest person like me, who never attended any social events to network, and didn’t actively develop a customer base; how could I still make money, and actually make big money? They thought it was amazing.
Over the years, I have experienced many wonders of Dafa. When we can truly comprehend the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Falun Dafa will create a broader life for us.
