(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Qian Arrested

1. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Qian Arrested

Officers from the Yuexiu District Police Station arrested Ms. Huang Qian on April 7, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her computers, cell phone, and Falun Gong books.

Ms. Huang returned home at 1:00 a.m. on April 8, 2022

2. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Youlin on Hunger Strike

Mr. Li Youlin works in the Baisha Town Health Center in Xiaochang County. She was arrested on the morning of April 20, 2022.

Ms. Li Youlin has been held in a farmhouse, where four or five people take turns guarding her, day and night. Three or four days before this report she went on a hunger strike to protest the arbitrary arrest and detention.

3. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Hua Qingbo Suspended from Work

Mr. Hua Qingbo works at the Baiquan County No. 4 Middle School. He was repeatedly harassed because of his faith in Falun Gong.

The political and legal affairs committee of Baiquan County, the local 610 Office, the Baiquan County Police Department, the No. 3 Police Station, and the local Education Bureau recently suspended Mr. Hua from work.

4. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Zhenfang Harassed

Zhao Yin, village accountant from Shenjingbao Village, Kongjiazhuang Township, led people to harass Ms. Wu Zhenfang on April 19, 2022. They pressured her to renounce her faith in Falun Gong, which she refused. They also tried to photograph her, but Ms. Wu stopped them.

5. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Xietaizi Police Station arrested Mr. Kang Hong at work. They ransacked Mr. Kang’s home afterwards.

Mr. Yang was arrested on the same day at his rented house, and his Falun Gong books and related materials were confiscated.

Mr. Zhang Jun, who visited Mr. Yang in the evening, was also arrested. Seven or eight police officers ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and laptop computer.

The three practitioners were taken to the Xietaizi Police Station, and their personal information was collected there. They were detained for fifteen days. Mr. Zhang, 78, was released because of his age.

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Duan Changjin Arrested

Duan Changjin (gender unknown) was followed and arrested by officers from the Heping District Police Station in April 2022. Duan Changjin was taken to the police station for interrogation, where Duan was pressured to renounce his/her faith in Falun Gong. Duan was released in the evening.
