Additional Persecution News from China – February 15, 2022 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Bairin Left Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Ji Yunzhi Hospitalized Due to Persecution

Ms. Ji Yunzhi was arrested by officers from the Bairin Left Banner Domestic Security Division on February 1, 2022. She has been hospitalized after being abused by the police. Further information is pending.

2. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Yuhua and Ms. Yu Guilan Arrested

Ms. Liu Yuhua, 69, and Ms. Yu Guilan, 73, were arrested by Laozhan Police Station officers while she was distributing Falun Gong materials on Laozhan Street on the afternoon of February 13, 2022.

Around 3 p.m. that day, the officers ransacked Ms. Liu’s home and confiscated 150,000 yuan in cash, close to 1,000 yuan in pocket money, a printer, and a notebook computer. The officers also ransacked Ms. Yu’s home.

Both practitioners were taken to the Changliu Detention Center around 7 p.m. on February 14.

3. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yue Nailiang and Ms. Wang Chunling Arrested

Mr. Yue Nailiang, 63, was arrested at his mother’s home by Huashan Police Station officers and Jianhua Village security personnel in the Fengman District on February 14, 2022. His whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Yue had been taking care his mother in the No. 3 Community of Jianhua Village. After he was arrested, his 83-year-old mother was left unattended at home.

Ms. Wang Chunling was arrested by officers from the Xinghua Police Station in the Changyi District while she was distributing Falun Gong materials on January 3, 2022. She was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center the following day. More than 40 days have passed, and her family has not heard anything about her.

4. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the Jinling Town went to the homes of Ms. Guo Guimin, Ms. Shao Zhengfen, and Ms. Li Shuhua and harassed them on February 6, 2022.

The next day, they went to the homes of Ms. Guo Lixin, Ms. Wang Xuefen, and Ms. Wang Xuemei and told the women to sign paperwork, asked for their phone numbers, and photographed them.

5. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Junlan Arrested

On February 9, 2022, Ms. Li Junlan was traveling to Liaoning Province. When she arrived at the Erlong checkpoint in Meihekou City, the police boarded the train to check the passengers’ national ID cards. The officers said they were screening people in special categories. The Meihe police intercepted Ms. Li. They called the Liuhe Domestic Security Division. Two Liuhe County domestic security officers went there and took Ms. Li back to Liuhe. They told Ms. Li not to leave town.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cui Rishao and Mr. Chen Yuchun Arrested

Mr. Chen Yuchun from Kangping County was arrested at home in the middle of the night on February 12, 2022. All the Falun Gong items in his home were confiscated.

Before Chinese New Year’s day on February 1, 2022, Mr. Cui Rishao from Kangping County was arrested by the Kangping County police at his daughter’s home in Shenyang City.

7. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Yinhuan Arrested

Mr. Li Yinhuan from the Yuexiu District was arrested by officers from the Changxing Police Station in the Tianhe District on January 26, 2022.

8. [Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Qin Manfang Arrested

Ms. Qin Manfang from Jingjiang City was arrested and taken to Taizhou City on January 23, 2022. Further details are still being verified.

9. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Numerous Practitioners Harassed

In late January 2022, officers from the Fenghuang Industrial Park Police Station in the Dongchangfu District harassed Ms. Xu Delan’s family again. They ordered her family to tell her to go to the police station, where she needed to sign paperwork complying with other requirements. Ms. Xu refused to cooperate with the police.

In early February, officer Sun from the police station harassed Ms. Xu’s children again. Ms. Xu called officer Sun and told him to stop harassing her children. Officer Sun and someone else went to Ms. Xu’s home and harassed her.

At the end of January 2022, Dongchangfu District Political and Legal Affairs Committee personnel called to harass the children of practitioner Wang. From mid-January to early February 2022, officers from the Liuyuan Police Station and the Xinqu Police Station harassed practitioners Huo and Jiang.

10. [Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xu Juying Faces a Six-Month Prison Term to Be Served at Home

Ms. Xu Juying from Jingjiang City was reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was placed under surveillance and supervision for a year.

Just as her one-year term was about to end, the authorities sent people to her home. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong and fined her 3,000 yuan. They said that she would be taken to court and given a six-month term to be served outside prison. She would then be handed over to the neighborhood committee for supervision and surveillance and the police would monitor her phone around the clock. She would have to report to the police station whenever she was told to.

11. [Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhou Ailan Fined

Someone Ms. Zhou Ailan from Jingjiang City talked to about Falun Gong turned out to be a police department employee. The person repeatedly harassed her son and fined her 1,000 yuan. The person threatened to have her sent to prison after the Chinese New Year holiday season.

12. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jingyun’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Wang Jingyun from the Huanglouzhen Sub-district in Qingzhou City was spotted by the police while she was distributing Falun Gong materials at a farmers’ market on January 25, 2022. The officers subsequently ransacked her home and confiscated two copies of Zhuan Falun, four Falun Gong books, two recent articles by Master Li, and a radio that could also record.
