(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Beijing] Chen Zhihua and Zhang Yuhua Sentenced to Prison

Chen Zhihua (gender unknown) and Mr. Zhang Yuhua live in Yangshugou Village, Xinchengzi Town, Miyun District. Chen Zhihua was recently sentenced to two years and six months in prison and Mr. Zhang was sentenced to two years in prison.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Guohua Taken to Brainwashing Center After 5 Years of Imprisonment

Mr. Li Guohua, 55, was released on March 9, 2022, after being imprisoned for five years. His family was informed that he was directly taken to the Baishazhou Brainwashing Center by staff from the Hongshan Judicial Office and the local community. The address and further details are not known.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning] Mr. Wu Baogui Detained Again After 3 Years of Imprisonment

Mr. Wu Baogui was sentenced to three years in prison by the Guta Court. He just finished the term recently but was then taken to the Xingcheng City Detention Center for the following reason. After being displaced for nearly seven years, Mr. Wu was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Hongyazi Township Market in Xingcheng City on May 27, 2020. He was arrested by officers from the Hongyazi Township Police Station and was later transferred back to Jinzhou City. Now the case is reopened and is being investigated.

4. [Beijing] The Cases Against Mr. Xu Xuekun and Ms. Bai Shuhui Submitted to the Procuratorate

Mr. Xu Xuekun and Ms. Bai Shuhui from Dashiwo Town were arrested and have been detained in the Fangshan District Detention Center. The cases against them were recently submitted to the procuratorate.

5. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cao Hongmei Arrested

Ms. Cao Hongmei was arrested at the Xinxing Market by several plainclothes officers from the Xinxing Police Station in Li County on the morning of March 20, 2022. She is currently detained in the police station.

6. [Shanghai] The Cases Against Mr. He Binggang and Ms. Zhang Yibo Submitted to Court

The cases against Mr. He Binggang and Ms. Zhang Yibo were submitted to the court on March 15, 2022.

7. [Jianli City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Liping Faces Trial

Ms. Liu Liping will be tried in court soon.

8. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Ding Guiqin Arrested

Ms. Ding Guiqin, nearly 80, was arrested in late February 2022. Her home was ransacked.

9. [Anyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Chaojie Arrested

Mr. Wang Chaojie, 35, is a high school teacher. He was arrested on March 14, 2022, and his home was ransacked. He is currently in detention.

10. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Range was Arrested and Detained

Elderly Ms. Wang Range was sentenced to three months and fined 1000 yuan by the Feicheng Court on December 10, 2021. She was released on March 9, 2022. She was charged a security deposit of 100,000 yuan before she was released. If she is found distributing truth clarifying materials within five years, the deposit money will be confiscated.

11. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Shujuan Arrested

Ms. Wang Shujuan was about to take a train to visit her son in Beijing when she was arrested at the Jinzhou Railway Station on March 8, 2022. When her luggage was searched at the security checkpoint railway, staff found information about Falun Gong. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Wei Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wang Wei was sentenced to one year and three months in prison by the Linghai City Court.

13. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jiazhi and Ms. Min Ruyi Arrested

Ms. Chen Jiazhi and Ms. Min Ruyi were arrested on March 17, 2022, when they distributed truth-clarifying materials in the Huangzhuang Community.

14. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wu Haibo Arrested Again

Mr. Wu Haibo was arrested at home by officers from the Xincun Police Station in the Xiashan District two weeks ago. His current situation is unknown.

Mr. Wu has been arrested and imprisoned multiple times. The previous arrest happened in 2015. He was later sentenced to five years in prison and was released in December 2020.
