Additional Persecution News from China – March 4, 2022 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Ying Sentenced to Prison

8. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Bu Yuxin and Ms. Xue Guiyun Held in Detention Center

1. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Ying Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Ying was tried on January 6, 2022. It was recently reported that the Wujin District Court, under pressure from the Changzhou City Intermediate Court, will sentence Ms. Zhang to three years and one month in prison. Her second hearing was scheduled for March 11.

Ms. Zhang was arrested by officers from the Wujin District Domestic Security Division on the morning of May 13, 2021. She was held in a local brainwashing center and then transferred to the Xilin Detention Center.

2. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Suhua and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Suhua and two other practitioners were arrested in Harbin City around February 15, 2022.

3. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhao Hengde Faces Trial

Mr. Zhao Hengde was scheduled to be tried by the Xixia District Court on the morning of March 15, 2022.

Mr. Zhao was arrested and his home was ransacked on the evening of November 26, 2021, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

Mr. Zhao was placed under criminal detention by the Xingqing District Police Department on November 28 and held in the Yinchuan City Detention Center. He was officially placed under arrest on December 10. His case was turned over to the Xixia District Procuratorate on December 17, which brought charges against him on January 13, 2022.

Mr. Zhao was so severely abused in the detention center that he had to be catheterized.

4. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jing Cuixiang’s Home Ransacked

On February 10, 2020, over 10 people from the Huai’an County Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the Huai’an County Police Department broke into Ms. Jing Cuixiang’s home in Dongyanghe Village, Chaigoubu Town, Huai’an County. They confiscated two Falun Gong books and told her to stop practicing Falun Gong. They threatened her and said that if she continued to practice, her subsistence allowance would be canceled.

During the 2022 Winter Olympics, three young people followed Mr. Zhou Linsi from Dongyanghe Village wherever he went.

5. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Yao Xiaoyan’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Yao Xiaoyan was arrested by officers from the Yongning County Police Department in her residential community on December 2, 2021. The police department officially placed her under arrest on December 30.

Ms. Yao’s case was turned over to the Xixia District Procuratorate on February 28, 2022.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xu Guizhi, about 58, from the Nangang District was arrested at home on March 1, 2022.

Ms. Jiang Yifen and Ms. Zheng Yufang were arrested by officers from the Chengbei Police Station in the Acheng District on March 3. The officers took away the cell phones of the two practitioners and their family members.

7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wu Lihua Taken to Prison

Ms. Wu Lihua from the Shuangcheng District was taken to the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison on February 18, 2022. She is being held in the Correction and Intensive Training Ward.

8. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Bu Yuxin and Ms. Xue Guiyun Held in Detention Center

Ms. Bu Yuxin and Ms. Xue Guiyun from the Jiapigou Residential Community were arrested by patrol officers from the Minghua Police Station while they were posting Falun Gong materials on the evening of February 25, 2022. The officers ransacked their homes. All of Ms. Bu’s Falun Gong books and her two computers were confiscated. The officers also tore off her network cables. They also took three or four stacks of truth clarification stickers from the basket of her electric car. It is not clear what they confiscated from Ms. Xue’s home.

Both practitioners were taken to the Shulan Detention Center on February 26.

9. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Zeng Congqun Arrested

Zeng Congqun (gender unknown) was reported by two young people when Zeng talked to them about Falun Gong on March 1, 2022, at the intersection of Kaishan Road and a road leading to the Anju District. Zeng was arrested and taken to a police station and then to the Yongxing Detention Center for 15 days of detention.
