“You Don’t Have to Take Down the Falun Dafa Banners”

(Minghui.org) My husband and I have been persecuted over the years for our belief in Falun Dafa. My husband was imprisoned at one point. After he was released we had to rely on growing and selling vegetables because we were very poor. Later, through someone’s suggestion, we received a contract to manage the village Party secretary’s greenhouse.

The greenhouse produced a good harvest in the spring and summer of 2014, and we made a profit. The village Party secretary informed us that the head of a Central Committee organization of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) would be visiting the greenhouse the next day, and he wanted us to take down the Falun Dafa banners on the walls that led to the greenhouse.

To enter and exit each greenhouse, people must pass through the attached tiny shed. We’d hung up banners with messages such as “Falun Dafa is good. Learning the truth will bring blessings” on the shed after we took over the greenhouse to allow everyone to see the messages.

My husband and I discussed the issue and came to an understanding that we shouldn’t look at the issue from an everyday person’s perspective. Our mission is to awaken and save people. 

Master Li (the founder of Falun Dafa) said,

We have gone through so much, and with Master and Dafa here, there was nothing to fear. We were willing to give up the greenhouse contract if we were forced to take down the banners.

We decided that we would tell our story to the village secretary. We planned to tell him that the heavenly beings are watching over practitioners. Six greenhouses caught fire soon after we harvested the vegetables in 2013, but the wind suddenly changed direction before the fire could reach our greenhouse. The burning of the six greenhouses incurred a loss of about one million yuan. We also wanted to tell the village secretary that we were willing to give up the contract and the harvest.

The phone rang just as my husband was about to call the Party secretary, who had asked the village head to call us. The village head said, “You don’t have to take down the banners. Tell the visitors you are taking care of the greenhouse for someone else and that you didn’t hang them up.”

Over 20 government officials of various levels arrived in high-end cars the next day and saw the messages in the shed.

My husband and I sent forth righteous thoughts the entire time, and no one said anything negative about Dafa.
