(Minghui.org) A bus explosion occurred on the evening of February 12, 2022 in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. One person died and 42 were injured. When I learned that it was Bus 232, a cold sweat broke out on my back, because that was the bus I usually took to my sister's house on Bashan Road, which is one stop before the stop where the explosion occurred.
Even though I wasn’t on the bus that day, the explosion made my heart palpitate. I suddenly understood better why my sister and other Falun Gong practitioners persisted in urging people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its junior organizations. By recognizing the vicious nature of the CCP and choosing to break free from it, many people, including me, have received blessings.
When my sister first urged me to sever ties with the CCP a decade ago, I did not agree because I mistook that as something political. Later, when she looked for more opportunities to talk to me about it from time to time, I was annoyed, and told her, “As long as I have food and water, clothing and shelter, I don't care about anything else.”
Nonetheless, I understood that my sister cares for and loves me very much. Even though she did not ask me anymore, I knew that she was still concerned about me. About eight years ago, I did not want my sister to worry about me anymore, so I agreed to quit the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers organization, the two CCP junior organizations I had joined when I was young. Seeing my sister relieved, I was also happy.
Strangely enough, after quitting the CCP organizations, I became receptive to the facts related to Falun Gong that my sister told me. From time to time, I also sincerely recited “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
I was not on that particular bus where the bombing happened. But I knew that even if I had taken that one, I would have been fine, because I got off one stop before the explosion.
I used to think that the suppression of Falun Gong practitioners had nothing to do with people who were not practitioners. I have now realized that when the CCP targets the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, everyone in this society becomes victims.
For example, even though practitioners were relentlessly persecuted, they still had no hatred, and instead treated others with compassion. In contrast, upon being treated unfairly, everyday people would seek revenge and sometimes even express their grievances at the price of harming the general public. When that happens, once again it is ordinary citizens who become victims.
I have often seen such cases of revenge against society, but I always felt that it was far away from me. This time it happened on a bus that I often take, and it really woke me up. I wondered if the 40-plus people who were killed or injured could have learned the facts about Falun Gong and quit the CCP as I did, many of them likely would have avoided the disaster.
Learning about the facts of Falun Gong and rejecting the CCP for a better future is something that is critical for people in this society.
