(Minghui.org) A Changchun City, Jilin Province, resident has been admitted to prison to serve a three-year term for her faith in Falun Gong. This is the third time that Ms. Lu Daxin has been incarcerated following two previous labor camp terms.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Lu, around 55, was arrested on a bus on May 30, 2021. After 15 days at the Weizigou Detention Center, she was transferred to the Changchun City No.4 Detention Center. She was sentenced to three years in October 2022 and is now in the Jilin Province Women’s Prison.

Past Persecution

Ms. Lu was given a labor camp term (length unknown) in March 2002. While she was still in the Changchun Detention Center, the guards covered her head with a plastic bag, tied it up, and then hung her by her wrists by pulling her arms up from behind. They shocked her neck with an electric baton, causing swellings and bruises on her neck. Her buttocks, hands, and feet also became black and blue. She was unable to care for herself after that, and someone else had to comb her hair and wash her face.

Ms. Lu was arrested again at home on the evening of April 22, 2008, prior to the Beijing Olympics. She was given a year in the Changchun Women’s Forced Labor Camp a month later. The guards forced her to write a statement to renounce Falun Gong against her will.

Ms. Lu’s third arrest was on June 14, 2014, after the police found Falun Gong materials in her purse. It’s not known how long she was detained.
