Fearlessly Facing Persecution with a Firm Belief in Dafa

(Minghui.org) After I started practicing Falun Dafa, I experienced dramatic changes. Years of chronic illnesses disappeared, and my self-effacing personality also changed. I became a healthy and cheerful person. I firmly believed in Master and Dafa all these years and treated the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution fearlessly with righteous thoughts. Under Master Li Hongzhi’s compassionate protection, I have walked steadily on my cultivation path.

A Chronic Disease Suddenly Disappeared

I suffered from such severe headaches from the time I was 16 that I could not go to school. I sought medical help for 12 years, visiting countless hospitals and trying many kinds of Chinese and Western medications. But nothing helped, and I lived in constant pain.

I once visited my mother and saw the book Zhuan Falun on her table. She said that my uncle wanted to give it to me and said the book could cure me. Out of curiosity, I read a few pages and felt very good. So I took it home and continued reading. My headaches usually got worse if I read. Surprisingly, when I read Zhuan Falun, I did not feel tired and even felt my mind was clearer. I could not put the book down and kept reading until I finished. Miraculously, the headaches that had tortured me for 12 years disappeared. I became healthy again, and my joy was beyond words. I realized this was not an ordinary book, and I made up my mind to study the Fa well.

I had a dream shortly after that I was in school again, and I got scared because I knew studying would give me a headache. Suddenly, the phone rang. I answered and heard Master Li’s voice say, “Your headaches are already gone.” I was no longer afraid and my head did not hurt at all. Since then, I have walked on the great path of Dafa cultivation, studied the Fa with all my heart, and followed Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person. Dafa completely changed me, and my years of suffering are now behind me. I’m very grateful for Master’s compassionate salvation!

Facing Persecution with Righteous Thoughts

Jiang Zemin’s regime started to persecute Falun Dafa in July 1999 and fabricated the so-called “Tiananmen self-immolation” to deceive the Chinese people. As a Falun Dafa practitioner, I have the responsibility to tell the world the truth about Dafa and prevent them from being poisoned by the CCP. I went to Beijing to appeal for justice twice but was arrested both times on my way there. The local government sent someone to monitor me at all times and planned to detain me in a brainwashing center to try to force me to renounce my faith. I told myself that I’d benefited from Dafa greatly, as my chronic headaches were cured, so I would never give up cultivating it!

I lived at my husband’s workplace at the time, and government officials told the director to take me to a brainwashing center. When I heard this, I started to send forth righteous thoughts with the intention that no one could take me away, as Master has the final say with everything. In the end, the director did not want to get involved.

The government knew that I did not go to the brainwashing center and called the director in for a talk. I kept sending forth righteous thoughts to have the director and the government officials stay out of it. As it turned out, things really did go as I wished. The director told my husband later that the officials said this was not within their jurisdiction. After that, no one talked about sending me to a brainwashing center. I realized that Master had protected me from harm, since I had righteous thoughts and no fear. I truly experienced the power of righteous thoughts. Since then, I paid great attention to sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors persecuting Dafa practitioners.

I Must Get This Money Back!

The older brother of a female practitioner was arrested in 2001. She came to my home to make phone calls to the police to request his release. The police later showed up at my door along with my husband. It turned out they’d traced where the calls came from. My husband told the police the call was from our home phone. The police illegally detained the female practitioner and me for the entire morning before releasing us.

When I got home, my husband informed me that the police had fined him 200 yuan. That worried me because my understanding is we should never encourage the evildoers by allowing them to extort anything from us. I went back to the police station and asked them to return the money or I would not leave. They were deterred by my determination. They called my husband in and returned his money to me. Since I had strong righteous thoughts and pure belief in Master, he helped me again.

I Must Go Home Tomorrow!

I went out with an elderly practitioner in 2013 to clarify the truth and give out DVDs. We were reported to the police and stopped by a young police officer as we passed by the same spot again. He saw I had a DVD in my bag and tried to grab my bag. I held on tightly and did not give it to him. He then tried to pull me into the police vehicle, but I resisted.

I thought I should not let the evil succeed and started to shout, “Falun Dafa is good!” A lot of people surrounded us to see what was happening. The officer then called more officers over. They forced me into the car and took me to the police station. I refused to tell them my name and address. They then put me back in the car and took me to a brainwashing center. I thought to myself, “I have Master to take care of me, so what you say doesn’t matter.” The police were supposed to interrogate me that night, but they did not show up. I calmed down and thought of Master’s Fa:

“Imprisoned as you are,don’t be sorrowful or sadCarry on with righteous thoughts and actions,and the Fa is with youCalmly reflect on the attachments you haveRemove your human thoughtsand evil will naturally die out

I had the strong righteous thought that I must go home the next day and not waste time in there. I asked Master to strengthen me and then sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil beings and factors that persecuted me and prevented me from saving sentient beings. I also looked within to find my omissions.

The director of the brainwashing center came the next day, and I told him firmly that I had to go home that day. He said that wasn’t possible. I said, “I did not sleep last night, and I used to have severe headaches. If you don’t let me go today and something happens to me, you will not get off the hook easily.” He left quickly and never returned. The two detainees who tried to brainwash me also said the director wouldn’t let me go. However, I knew that what they said also didn’t matter. Master would let me go. I told them calmly, “They will let me go soon.”

An older officer came a few hours later and said he would let me go if I gave him my family’s phone number and address. I gave him the phone number, and my husband came that afternoon to take me home.

Getting My Bag Back from Domestic Security

The day after I was released from the brainwashing center, I visited the young police officer who’d arrested me. He was surprised to see me and asked how I got out so quickly. I told him, “I did not commit any crime. Why should I stay there? You need to give me back my bag.” He told me he would go inside and ask. After a while, another officer came out and told me to go to the domestic security division to get my bag.

I went to the domestic security division and saw three officers. I clarified the truth to them and asked them to return my bag. They opened the bag and asked where the DVD came from. I refused to tell them. They also saw a list of people who’d quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and asked what this was for. I told them the list was to show to the gods in heaven. They smiled and gave me back the bag, “If Falun Dafa is good, then please practice at home. Just don’t go out and talk to people. You can go now.”

I went out to clarify the truth three days later and met the elderly practitioner who had also been arrested. She said the police took her to the hospital for a physical exam and put her on a bed. However, they could not hold her down, and the doctor was unable to examine her. In the end, the police left, and she walked out of the hospital on her own.

Master protected us again because of our righteous thoughts and firm belief in Dafa. No words can express my gratitude for Master’s compassionate salvation. I can only aspire to do the three things well, advance diligently, and save more sentient beings in the limited time left.
