(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chu Zhiping Sentenced

Ms. Chu Zhiping was sentenced to four years in prison by the Zaozhuang Court on August 15, 2022. She is incarcerated in the Gaoxin District Women’s Prison in Jinan City, Shandong Province.

2. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Han Renyi Sentenced

Mr. Han Renyi was reported when he distributed Falun Gong flyers in Mingtang Park on April 26, 2021.

He was arrested on May 1, 2021, when he was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. His home was ransacked. He was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan on September 17, 2021.

3. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhou Changhai Detained

Mr. Zhou Changhai from the Qinzhou District was arrested on September 9, 2022. He was imprisoned in the Zaojiao Detention Center, even though he had ascites (excess abdominal fluid) and his body was swelling.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Ke Xiuping Arrested

Ms. Ke Xiuping was arrested by officers from the Henanzhai Town Police Station on the morning of September 16, 2022, even though her husband could not take care of himself. The officers ransacked her home and seized several copies of Zhuan Falun and other Falun Gong books.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Shi Lianying Harassed

Ms Shi Lianying from Jiutai District, 81, was harassed by officers from the Shanghewan Police Station on September 14, 2022. Her home was ransacked. The officers ordered her to sign a document renouncing Falun Gong. They threatened to hold her pension if she did not do it, she still refused. They then threatened that they would have her three sons come and pressure her to sign.

6. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xing Ruxiang Harassed

Ms. Xing Ruxiang was harassed by officers from the Baichigan Town Police Station on September 9, 2022. They asked if she still practiced Falun Gong and photographed her against her will.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms Na Chunru Harassed

Ms. Na Chunru was harassed at home by clerk Ju from the Yuanxiaojie Residential Committee and officer Gao from the Dongguan Police Station on the morning of September 14, 2022. They photographed her and ordered her to sign.

8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Li Formally Arrested

Ms. Zhao Li was formally arrested. Officers ransacked her home and seized 9,000 yuan in cash in addition to gold necklaces, and other items.

9. [Shanghai] Mr. Zhang Nanping Arrested

Mr. Zhang Nanping was arrested by officers from the Jiangxi Domestic Security Division around September 10, 2022. He was originally from Zengjia Village, Zhanxu Town, Dongxiang County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province. He worked in Shanghai for many years. He was sentenced to five years in prison by the Shanghai Pudong District Court on December 24, 2002, and to 14 months in prison by the Shanghai Fengxian District Court on July 21, 2020.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ma Chunrong Released on Bail Pending Trial

Ms. Ma Chunrong of Dujiangyan City, in her 50s, was arrested on August 9, 2022. Officers searched her and seized dozens of Falun Gong flyers and hundreds of yuan in cash which had Falun Gong messages printed on them. The officers put a bag, which did not belong to her, among the flyers, and forced her to stand beside it and point to it. They photographed the scene. She was held in another city for more than two weeks before she was released on bail pending trial.

11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Wang Cuiyan was harassed in her fertilizer shop by the deputy head of the Liutuo Village at the end of August 2022. The village head followed the town government’s instructions and wanted to videotape her. She refused.

Ms. Xue Suyan was harassed in her small shop by a Xiaojia Village member at the end of August 2022. He tried to photograph her using his cell phone. She stopped him.

Mr. Yang Guoqing of Nanwangtuan Village received death treats because he practiced Falun Gong and posted Falun Gong flyers at the end of August 2022. Mr. Wang Kexin was also harassed.

12. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Rong Xiuzhen Detained

Ms. Rong Xiuzhen of Shijiazhuang City was arrested at her daughter’s home in Kunming City, Yunnan Province on September 12, 2022. She is being held in the Panlong District No. 1 Detention Center in Kunming City.

13. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Fengxian Arrested

Ms. Yu Fengxian of Jiansanjiang was arrested by officers from the Jiansanjiang Domestic Security Division on September 14, 2022. She is being held in the Huanan Detention Center.

The officers falsified evidence. Ms. Yu had over forty copies of Minghui Weekly which she collected over ten years. They counted them, marked the total number of flyers over seventy, then sent the case as a severe one to the procuratorate.

She was arrested on May 27, 2022, and was released on bail pending trial after 10:00 p.m. on May 28. She is not allowed to leave Jiansanjiang, turn off her cell phone, or change her phone number. She must report to police whenever she is called.

14. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Harassed

Mr. Pan Baozhong was harassed at home twice by officers from the Xinji Town Police Station in early July 2022. They ordered him to go to the police station and tried to force him to renounce Falun Gong.

Ms. Kang Jingdi was harassed at home by officers from the Beicheng Police Station in the second half of July 2022. They seized her cell phone and computer and threatened to take her to the police station. She did not cooperate.

Ms. Yu Xuelan was harassed by two officers on August 14, 2022.

Ms. Kang Jinmei was harassed at her work in the Sanhe City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital by officers from the Nancheng Police Station in mid-August 2022.

Mr. Song Jianguo was harassed at home by officers Fan and Lin from the Nancheng Police Station on August 24, 2022.

Ms. Pang Xiufeng was harassed at home by the Huangtuzhuang Town Police Station officers on August 20, 2022.

Officers from the Yanshunlu Police Station went to Mr. Zhang Xuepu’s home twice in the second half of August 2022. He was not there. The officers told his family not to let him to distribute Falun Gong flyers.

15. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Xinhua Harassed

Two officers from the Dongfeng Police Station went to Mr. Wang Xinhua’s home on September 8, 2022. He was not at home.

On September 9, 2022, the Dongfeng Residential Committee director, five people from the Dongfeng Township and the police station, and two people from the Chaoyang District went to his home again. They questioned him and ordered him to renounce Falun Gong.

16. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yin Zhibo Falls and Dies After Officers Push Him Out of a Window

Mr. Yin Zhibo was pushed out of window at his home by officer Piao Dongjie and assistant officer Sun Haitao on March 16, 2021. He fell and died. He was 44 years old.

17. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Guo Yuanrong Detained

Mr. Guo Yuanrong was released on bail pending trial because his health deteriorated and his condition became serious. He was arrested again at his nephew’s home by director Zhang Chengfu and officers from the Wei County Domestic Security Division on September 8, 2022. He was taken to the Datong No. 1 Detention Center by officers from the Guangling County Police Department. He is very thin and weak.
