Chinese in Sweden: After Being Misled by the CCP Propaganda, I Now Understand Why Practitioners Persist in Exposing the Persecution

(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities in front of the Nobel Museum in Stockholm every Friday and Saturday afternoon in September this year. They introduced Falun Dafa to tourists and local people and told them how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted it for 23 years.

Many people signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution and condemned the CCP’s atrocities. Among them was a Swedish couple, Ann and her husband. Ann is Chinese and originally from Hong Kong, but now lives in Sweden.

She said, “Thank you (Falun Dafa practitioners) for your hard work and dedication. For so many years, you have persistently and peacefully protested the persecution around the world, which is admirable. We were all deceived and misunderstood Falun Dafa. Now I know that you are all good people.” Ann expressed her heartfelt words when she met practitioners in front of the Nobel Museum.

On September 16, when Ann and her Swedish husband passed by the venue, they stopped and talked to practitioners. Ann introduced herself and explained that she was a Hong Kong resident who immigrated to Sweden more than 20 years ago.

She told practitioners that she often saw practitioners clarifying the truth on the streets of Hong Kong, but she always avoided them. “Because of the influence of the CCP’s official media, I thought you were against the government. I totally rejected the practitioners’ truth-clarification materials, display boards, banners, and so on. It was not until the incident in Hong Kong that I woke up.”

She continued, “The incident caused me to suspect the CCP’s official media, so I went to find out what happened to Falun Dafa. It turned out that the CCP’s propaganda was completely baseless. It vilifies and slanders Dafa. Now I understand you. You’ve clarified the truth all these years to expose the persecution, which is truly remarkable. We were all misled by the CCP. It is so evil.”

Her husband kept nodding in agreement. Ann also said that she always felt guilty, so she wanted to tell the practitioners about her experience and sincerely apologize to them.

The couple also expressed their hope that, “More people can recognize the evil nature of the CCP as soon as possible, and stop being misled by its lies.” They happily accepted informational materials and said they wanted to know more about Falun Dafa.

Exercising in the Rain

The practitioners set up display boards and tables in front of the Nobel Museum on September 17. It soon began to rain. They quickly took out plastic sheets and covered the display boards and materials. Then they continued their activities as usual. The tourists took shelter in front of the museum and watched as practitioners did the exercises despite the rain.

Many people said they were touched to see practitioners’ perseverance.

In less than half an hour, the rain stopped. Many people witnessed the practitioners’ perseverance. Some came over and began reading the display boards or chatted with practitioners. Others signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Practitioner Olga said that neither wind nor rain can stop them from telling people about the CCP’s persecution. She is from Poland and said she knows from firsthand experience how bad the Communist Party is. She participates in every event to tell people about the persecution.

“Many people now want to know the truth and are willing to accept flyers,” she said. She hopes that everyone in the world will learn about Falun Dafa and help stop the persecution as soon as possible.

Tourist: Help Stop the Persecution

The weather was particularly good on September 23 and 24. There was an endless stream of people who stopped to talk with practitioners to learn about Falun Dafa and the persecution.

Christopher, a teacher from a city in northern Sweden, said that he’s been to China, including Hong Kong three years ago, and he was familiar with the terrible human rights situation in China. He was stunned and indignant when he heard about the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.

“This is a big and important matter,” he said. “We all should pay attention to it, and let’s stop it together.” He signed the petition and said, “Please give me some English language materials. I will tell my students about the CCP’s ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa.” He said that he must help practitioners spread the word, and expose the shameful things done by the dictatorial government, and stop the CCP’s persecution of good people.

Two sisters from Germany stopped and carefully read the display boards. They chatted with a German-speaking practitioner for a long time. After understanding the facts, the sisters asked how they could help practitioners. When they learned about signing a petition online, they were happy. They said that they would tell more people about the persecution and ask them to sign the petition. They also said that they would use the associations they were members of to help spread the word.

People Wish to Learn Falun Dafa

Two young Swedish people saw practitioners demonstrating the exercises and said they felt bad about the persecution. They asked a practitioner whether the practitioners in China could deceive the police by saying they would not practice. The practitioner told them that practitioners cultivate themselves to be good people according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and could not lie.

The two young people said they understood and signed the petition. They said they recognize the values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. One of them said, “This principle is important to everyone in the world. We should also learn to practice Falun Dafa.”

“I feel relaxed when I stand here with you, and I have a strong sense of energy,” a woman from Spain said and expressed an interest in learning Falun Dafa. She said she was moved when she saw such a peaceful practice. When she got a flyer in Spanish, she was happy, “This place (a practice site) is close to my home. So I’ll contact it when I go back. Thank you.”

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
