Germany: Practitioners in Franconia Tell People about Falun Dafa and Wish Master a Happy Chinese New Year

He smiled after a Falun Dafa practitioner said there was. “Can you write down the time and contact information for me?” After getting all the information, he expressed his sincere thanks.

To welcome the Chinese New Year, Falun Dafa practitioners in the Franconian region of Bavaria held activities in the center of Nuremberg on January 15, 2022. They demonstrated the exercises in front of St. Lorenz Church, distributed information about Falun Dafa, and collected signatures on a petition to end the persecution. Numerous people stopped to watch as they did the exercises and chatted with practitioners. Many asked where they could learn to practice.

To welcome the Chinese New Year, practitioners in Franconia held an event in Nuremberg on January 15 to tell people about Falun Dafa and wish Master a Happy New Year.

There are many businesses around St. Lorenz Church, and many residents and tourists come here on weekends to shop or to relax and sightsee. The peaceful scene of practitioners demonstrating the exercising attracted passersby to stop and watch. Many signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Two young people who said they were attracted by the peaceful exercise music stopped and watched the practitioners doing the exercises for a long time. They asked why Falun Dafa was being persecuted in China. After a practitioner explained the facts to them, they said, “We’ve heard about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of human rights, but we don’t know much about it. Thank you for telling us the details. The Chinese regime is too brutal! The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are very good. How can we support you?” They both signed the petition calling to stop the organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners.

Practitioners at the event pressed their hands together in Heshi (a gesture of respect) to wish their founder, Master Li Hongzhi, a Happy Chinese New Year.

They said they would bring their “Wonderful Falun Dafa” booth to more areas in Bavaria in the coming year so that more people could learn about this wonderful practice.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and learned the five gentle exercises have experienced uplifted health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline's growing popularity as a threat to the CCP's atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, issued an order to ban the practice.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 22 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. More have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply the organ transplant industry.
