Negating the “Zero-Out” Campaign With Righteous Thoughts

(Minghui.org) I was studying the Fa at home on the night of May 17, 2021 when someone called my cellphone. I did not answer it since it was an unknown number. However I received two more calls from that number within a few minutes. I knew that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had launched the so-called “zero-out” campaign against Falun Dafa practitioners recently and I wondered if a CCP official was calling.

After I clarified the truth to the community office personnel in May 2017, afterwards, no one from the office harassed me. I started sending forth righteous thoughts and I planned to go out and pass out truth-clarification materials as usual.

After sending forth righteous thoughts, I suddenly heard someone walking upstairs. Then they knocked on my door very hard and called my name. I did not answer the door and they eventually left. My husband looked from the upstairs balcony and saw one man and two women.

An hour later I called the phone number and a man answered. He told me they were from the science administration bureau and asked me to attend a meeting the following day. I replied, “What meeting? Is it to persecute Falun Dafa? I suggest you not commit crimes by persecuting Falun Dafa.” He said, “We don’t have a choice. We are following orders from the upper-level authorities. The local CCP Political and Legal Affairs Committee and 610 Office invited an expert from the provincial capital to give you Falun Dafa practitioners classes. I hope you can cooperate.”

I told him, “The constitution grants citizens the freedom of religious belief. Falun Dafa teaches people to raise their morals and be good people.” He said, “I know. Please come for ten minutes tomorrow. I swear we will not do anything to you.” I replied, “The CCP always does things this way to deceive people. They do whatever it takes to achieve their secret goals.” He repeatedly assured me it wouldn’t be like that.

After hanging up the phone, my husband was worried, “Maybe you should not go there to avoid any trouble. Aren’t you supposed to go to our daughter's place to take care of our grandson in a few days?” I also hesitated after listening to my husband because the CCP had persecuted me several times for practicing Falun Dafa.

After I sent forth righteous thoughts the next morning, I thought I would be cooperating with the CCP if I went to the bureau. So I sent a text message to the director saying that I wouldn’t be able to make it. I continued sending forth righteous thoughts afterwards and felt Master was right next to me. My entire body was surrounded by positive energy. I was suddenly filled with compassion to save sentient beings, and my fear, selfishness, and anxiety were gone. I thought the CCP officials were also people who needed to be saved and I needed to clarify the truth to them.

The director called me again in the afternoon and he sounded helpless and pleading, “Will you come here? I just need ten minutes of your time. I called you four times this morning but you did not answer.” I agreed to come.

When I arrived at the bureau the director was waiting for me. A few clerks greeted me warmly and served tea after I entered the office. I looked at one of the young men who spoke standard Mandarin, “Are you the expert they invited?” The young man said, “Yes, let’s sit down and have a chat. You look young and energetic. I heard you are in your fifties but you look like you’re in your thirties.” I went straight to the topic, “It is our predesignated relationship that we meet. Have you read Zhuan Falun and do you know anything about Falun Dafa? For more than 20 years, practitioners have suffered unimaginable persecution from the CCP, including telephone and physical monitoring, harassment, intimidation, arrests, illegal sentencing, brutal physical torture, drug poisoning, and live organ harvesting. It is horrifying. What is your purpose this time?”

He said, “I believe in Christianity and engage in psychological corrections. The CCP Central Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the provincial government invited us to come. We want to use the religious way to work around it.”

I asked, “Work around it ? Do you plan to ask me to sign three statements to give up practicing Falun Dafa?” He immediately replied, “No we won’t ask you to sign the statements. You can just say three sentences in front of the camera, ‘I love my country. I will do the exercises at home. I won’t do anything illegal.’ This way your name will be removed from the police department’s blacklist. We call it ‘zero-out’.”

I said, “It’s not okay. I am very proud of practicing Falun Dafa. The zero-out is a stupid way and a failure.” He threatened, “If you don’t do it, it will implicate your children or even grandchildren’s future. They won’t be allowed to go abroad.” I replied, “Practitioners have all greatly benefited from Falun Dafa and our family members are also blessed. If our children and grandchildren want to go abroad they will still be able to. On the contrary, it is people like you from the the Public Security Department that should be worried. Your relatives, children and those who participated in the persecution of Falun Dafa are not eligible to enter the United States. The U.S. Secretary of State Blinken just announced sanctions against a CCP official Yu Hui, who is a former director of the 610 Office in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province.”

The young man said, “Actually if you just keep Falun Dafa to yourself, the government won’t bother you. There is no need to tell others or pass out flyers and posters.” I disagreed, “Sincerely reciting ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ can protect people’s lives and keep them safe. Article 99 and 100 of the Order No. 50 from the China Press and Publication Administration Bureau abolished the ban on Falun Dafa publications, which proves that distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarification information is legal. The people who walk by seeing the Falun Dafa banners or posters will be blessed as long as they believe what they see. Practitioners post information about Falun Dafa to save people and this does not harm anyone. Falun Dafa teaches people to practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and teaches us to be selfless.” He said he understood.

I also told him why I practiced Falun Dafa and the dramatic changes in my body and mind after I began practicing. I told him we cultivate our xinxing and look within when facing conflicts. I also told him the Tiananmen Square self-immolation was fabricated by the CCP. “Right now the great plague is raging around the world and the CCP virus keeps mutating. Any country, region, government official, organization, or individual who gets close to the CCP, remains silent about the CCP’s crimes, or supports the CCP will suffer from the plague along with the CCP. And the people in that region will pay the high price of losing their lives.”

“But the great plague is also Heaven giving people a chance to recognize the CCP and stay away from the devil to be saved. Many Chinese people who contracted the CCP virus last year were saved after they got phone calls from Falun Dafa practitioners, learned the truth, and withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. They luckily survived after sincerely reciting the special words ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’. I hope you can also understand the truth about Falun Dafa and withdraw from the evil CCP you joined to have a bright future!”

He said, “I believe all you practitioners are good people. I am not a member of the CCP. We believe in God and God takes care of us. We are safe.” I said, “Young man, you say you believe in God. But the Communist Party is atheist. If you stay away from atheism and recite Falun Dafa is good, then God will truly help you. You are still young and you can choose any profession. Why do you want to participate in transforming and brainwashing practitioners who cultivate in the Buddha Fa? Don’t you realize that if you coerce practitioners sign a statement to give up Falun Dafa against their will, or force them to say the words you told me over the phone, you are creating karma and committing crimes. Even your god cannot save you.” He said, “I understand it now. You don’t need to say more. Please continue practicing Falun Dafa. You can also tell others what you told me today. It is very good.”

After I finished talking with the young man, the director invited me to have a chat in his office. I used the opportunity to tell him about the Tiananmen self-immolation fabricated by CCP and asked him to treat Dafa practitioners kindly. He agreed, “I appreciate that although you missed my phone calls, you called me back and came in today.” I told him, “Your calling harasses and interferes with practitioners. I hope you won’t call practitioners again in the future or harass them at home.” I also told other people in the office, “You must remember ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ These special, sacred words can save your lives and keep you safe.”

The director walked with me downstairs and I asked him, “Are you a CCP member? Your life was given by your parents. Why do you give your life to the evil Communist Party? Only withdrawing from the CCP can keep you safe during the plague.” He nodded, “Yes. I am a CCP member. I will withdraw from the Party.” I said goodbye to him and repeatedly told him to remember the special words. I was very happy for his right choice of withdrawing from the CCP.
