Toronto: People from China Call the Quit the CCP Call Center Wanting to Learn Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) According to The Epoch Times website, over 380 million people have quit the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and its affiliated organizations to date. Ms. Wang, who is a volunteer at the Quit the CCP hotline in Toronto that operates 24 hours a day, said that recently an increasing number of Chinese citizens have renounced their membership. Many expressed interest in learning Falun Gong and asked for books on the teachings.

Quit the CCP Phone Number Found on Chinese Currency

Ms. Wang said, “At the start of the persecution, many people in China were hostile towards practitioners who phoned to tell them the facts about the practice due to the CCP’s propaganda that defamed Falun Gong. They either cursed us or slammed down the phone. After persevering for 22 years, I’ve observed that the greatest, most obvious change is that, now, more people want to learn the exercises and read the teachings. Some even say they want to cultivate. This would have been impossible in the early years of the persecution. Yet, now this happens often.”

She continued, “Many people call us and ask to read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and to renounce their membership. They tell us they saw the hotline number on Chinese currency. A few of them have read Falun Gong brochures. Practitioners in China sometimes write our number on Chinese currency, and this has been extremely effective. A high percentage of the calls we get come from those who got the information on paper currency and these people come from all walks of life including government officials and ordinary citizens.”

In June, the call center received a phone call from a Mr. Chen (alias) in Guangzhou. He said, “Finally, I found you! I have been wanting to contact you but didn’t know how until I saw your number on a bill.”

As the CCP virus continues to spread in Guangzhou, in the Nansha District where there are schools and the residents live close together, the CCP set up quarantine points for people infected with the virus, triggering mass protests. An estimated 3,500 villagers and students in technical institutes protested outside Auster Hotel. They had to be dispersed by the police. Two hundred police officers were mobilized to break up the protesters and several villagers were beaten. At the risk of being arrested, Mr. Chen posted photos and video footage of the incident. The Epoch Times and NTD TV station subsequently published reports on the incident.

Miracle after Reciting “Falun Dafa is good”

Two weeks later, Mr. Chen phoned the call center again. He said, “I was arrested and just released. Samples of my blood were taken while I was in detention. I don’t know why they took my blood because I was fine. I felt terrible when I returned home. What should I do?” Ms. Wang told him, “You have done a great thing, helping people know the truth about the epidemic in Guangzhou. If you sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ and if you keep repeating the phrases, you will be blessed by Dafa and the divine.”

Two days later he phoned again and said, “I recited the phrases 100 times a day. In two days, I repeated it 200 times and now I feel fine. It is a miracle. Falun Dafa is indeed amazing. I want to read the book and start to practice. How can I get the books?”

When Ms. Wang asked if he had renounced his Party membership, he said, “I was discharged from the Party a long time ago. The members of my family were officials and over 30 of them were Party members. I once wrote an article commemorating Zhao Ziyang titled ‘Tiananmen Square Is Weeping’ and was consequently expelled from the Party and household register. I am rejected by my family as well because they think I am a traitor.”

Ms. Wang explained to him the significance of quitting the CCP and he said, “Then I will formally quit the CCP with my real name.”

Retired Cadre Helps His Family of Four Quit the CCP

A retired cadre from Northeast China called the Quit the CCP center asking to renounce his Party membership. He said he had seven brothers and sisters who are all professionals, including a senior engineer, a university lecturer, and a scientist. After he quit the CCP, Ms. Wang asked if he would suggest to his family members that they, too, quit the Party using aliases. He agreed without hesitation, “Sure, I will do that.” He later called back to say, “Four of them want to quit the CCP. Thank you!”

Police Officer’s Mother Saved by Confiscated Dafa Materials

Ms. Wang said, “Nowadays, more people realize that Falun Dafa is good and nothing like what the CCP propaganda says it is. People know the basic facts about the practice. Those who are rational start to think about the persecution: ‘There are people practicing it everywhere in the world, so why is it banned in China?’ High ranking officials and police officers are beginning to understand the truth.

“A person from Northeast China who has quit the CCP told me a story. In Jilin Province, a policeman ransacked a practitioner’s house and took the information about Falun Gong home with him. His mother, who is bedridden, read the information and did as suggested, reciting ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Her condition was resolved and she could stand up. Her legs completely recovered! The policeman realized it was a mistake to persecute Falun Gong.

“Another man from Northeast China in his 40s called the hotline number to quit the CCP. He said fortunetellers foretold that his mother would only live to the age of 68. His mother is now nearly 80 years old. He said he knows this is because she began to recite ‘Falun Dafa is good’ after reading information on Falun Gong and that is why his mother’s life was extended. Her ailments went away, too.”

Students Hired by the CCP to Make Disruptive Phone Calls Quit the CCP

Ms. Wang said, “Most of the time, those who call the hotline number to curse us are hired by the CCP. The majority are college or high school students from different parts of China and different schools. Sometimes they call the number throughout the night.

“We know the CCP is using them, so we tell them the facts about Falun Gong. We explain why it is important to renounce the CCP and the truth about the persecution. Some of them understand and change their ways. A few even quit the CCP.

“One time, several students called to say, ‘We joined others to make phone calls to disrupt your operation. We realized it was a mistake and now we want to quit the CCP. A few people became ill after making annoying calls and we realized we have done something wrong. Please help us withdraw from the Party. Thank you!’”

Background: What Is Falun Gong?

Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people have embraced the teachings—which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and includes five gentle exercises—and experienced uplifted health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline's growing popularity as a threat to the CCP's atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, issued an order to ban the practice.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 22 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. More have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply the organ transplant industry.

Under Jiang's personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
