Master Taught Me to Be Merciful to the Wicked

(Minghui.org) I used to hate those wicked people who persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners, and those who caused trouble and suffering for myself and my family. Although I knew that I should let them understand the facts about Dafa and be saved, I did not think they were the same as other ordinary people. Specifically, when I talked about the police and people involved in the persecution, I had an indescribable feeling of disgust and fear.

One day I studied Master’s lecture “Teaching the Fa at the Great Lakes Fa Conference in North America” (Guiding the Voyage). Master’s words made me understand that the people who participate in the persecution don’t know what they are doing. 

Because what they do was arranged by the old forces a long time ago, in order for them to be truly saved they must have a positive understanding of Dafa. This means we must clarify the truth to them, and more importantly, we must cultivate greater compassion. Only with compassion, tolerance, and peace of mind, can we save them.

I understand that although they participate in the persecution of Dafa and practitioners, originally they were Gods, just like us. It is just that they agreed to play a negative role during the Fa-rectification, as arranged by the old forces. 

Under the control of the old forces, they thought they too were bound to reach consummation. From this point of view, they dared to come down to earth and provide the “tests” for Dafa practitioners, which means they also put hope for the future of their lives in this Fa-rectification.

Before Master’s Fa-rectification, no one knew what the standard for salvation of life was, nor that the human world is in a maze. It could be that we knew those wicked people and evil police who are persecuting us today when we were in heaven. 

We can imagine that before we came to this world together, we agreed who would be Dafa disciples and who would be villains. Because of Master’s arrangements, we became Dafa disciples. Back then maybe we told them: if we are not diligent in cultivation, they – the gods who decided to play the role of wicked people – must come to “remind” us. 

Their manifestation in the human world is the different forms of harassment and persecution we see, and their role is that of a villain, such as a prison guard or police officer. 

After some Gods came to the earth and established a karmic relationship with Dafa disciples during their reincarnation in the human world – with the exception of those wicked people and police officers reincarnated from hell – they began their role as wicked people or police officers after the Fa-rectification of the cosmos began. 

When they show up, fully armed, in front of us, they are actually beings like us wearing a human skin like a mask. Under the mask of this human skin, their original true nature is also that of Gods, or maybe Gods we were familiar with.

When we react to them in a human way, such as with fear, anger, hatred, and so on, these feelings are exactly what we should eliminate through cultivation. The old forces think they arranged the wicked beings to persecute Dafa for the purpose of letting us find and eliminate these human attachments.

In fact, we should remove any human attachments in accordance with Dafa and save all lives that can be saved. We should negate everything arranged by the old forces to the greatest extent possible. In other words, use compassion, tolerance, peace, etc., that we cultivated, when we interact with the people who were arranged to be wicked and participate in persecuting us. 

That is to say, we don’t have to cultivate under the so-called tests arranged by the old forces. We cultivate according to Dafa and strictly monitor our every thought, so that the tests arranged by the old forces don’t work. Those involved in the persecution are also people we should save. 

We can’t let those Gods who put their hope in the Fa-rectification and became police officers lose the chance to be saved because we didn’t cultivate properly. Maybe they are the Gods who made an agreement with us to come down together.

I smiled when I came to this understanding and felt compassion for them. A lot of my guarded mindset instantly fell away. Knowing that whoever persecutes Dafa disciples must pay for it, we need to do our best to tell those who can be saved the truth and save them with the greatest compassion. 

We are Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period and we are here to cultivate ourselves well according to Dafa and assist Master to save others.
