(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 30 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Julu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Shengjiang Arrested Again

Ms. Wu Shangjiang was arrested by police officers and procuratorate personnel around 4 p.m. on June 1, 2021. Her family was notified to go to the Dicun Township Detention Center on June 2. Ms. Wu is being held in the detention center.

Ms. Wu was previously arrested by officers from the Dicun Police Station on June 3, 2020. She was held in the Xingtai City No. 1 Detention Center for over a month. She was officially placed under arrest by the Julu County Police Department on June 17, 2020. She was released on bail in July. Afterwards, the police continued to go to her home to harass her.

2. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Fu Xiaoli Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Fu Xiaoli, born in 1974, holds a master’s degree and is the chief financial officer of a foreign company. On February 29, 2020, she was arrested by Luohu District police who tricked her into opening the door on the grounds of taking her temperature. Ms. Fu was taken to the Nanshan Detention Center four times but was refused admission due to incomplete paperwork. The detention center personnel reprimanded the officers for improperly arresting people during the pandemic.

Ms. Fu was then taken to the Nanshan Lockup Center. She was subsequently handcuffed and shackled and transferred to the Shenzhen No. 4 Detention Center, and then to the Luohu Detention Center.

Ms. Fu’s case was turned over to the Yantian Procuratorate 94 days after she was arrested, and she was transferred to the Yantian Detention Center. She is currently being held in Ward A18 of the detention center.

Ms. Fu was tried on October 28, 2020. She was sentenced to two years in prison on April 21, 2021. She appealed.

3. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhang Chunhe Officially Arrested

Ms. Zhang Chunhe from the Zengcheng District was arrested at home on April 10, 2021, by 12 people, including officers from the Domestic Security Division, the local police station, and staff members from the sub-district administration office. She was taken to the Zengcheng Detention Center. She was officially placed under arrest in recent days.

It was reported that Ms. Zhang experienced symptoms of hypoglycemia and is in critical condition.

4. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zheng Jun Arrested

Ms. Zheng Jun, 57, who retired from the Ningqiang County Post Office, was harassed at home on the morning of May 6, 2021, by more than 12 people, including director Zheng Xiaohui of the Zhonggulou Community Management Office and local police officers, led by officers from the Ningqiang County 610 Office. They ransacked Ms. Zheng’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Zheng refused to cooperate with them. They called in more officers, who handcuffed her and carried her away. They also called her husband and son to the police station and threatened them with the loss of their jobs and salaries. They forced Ms. Zheng’s family to cooperate with them to sign the guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong and “accountability statements.” The officers did not let her leave until about 4 p.m. that afternoon.

Ms. Zhang’s wrists were bruised from being handcuffed. The persecution dealt a severe blow to her family. Her son was again called to the police department the following day.

5. [Mei County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Xuanfeng Arrested

Elderly Ms. Liang Xuanfeng from Chengjiang Town was searched by plainclothes officers from the Mei County Police Department on April 11, 2021. Officers took her key to open the door. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Dafa books, a computer, and a cell phone. Ms. Liang wanted to take the photos and books back. She was instead carried to the police car and taken to the police department.

Officers threatened Ms. Liang and told her to cooperate, otherwise she would be locked up and sentenced. Ms. Liang did not cooperate with them. They took her home after about half an hour.

On April 26, the officers tried to detain Ms. Liang again. Due to her extremely high blood pressure, the detention center refused to accept her, and she was able to return home.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

In order to ensure the so-called “stability” for the July 1st Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) centenary, Jiaozhou police dispatched over 100 officers to arrest several Falun Gong practitioners at 6 a.m on June 2, 2021.

Practitioners known to have been arrested include Ms. Song Guiqin, Ms. Gao Xiu’e, Mr. Huang Yuqiang, Mr. Ji Jinmu, Ms. Wang Ruilian, Ms. Wang Ruilan, and Gao Kaihua (gender unknown).

The homes of Ms. Gao Xiu’e, Mr. Ji Jinmu, and Gao Kaihua were ransacked.

Ms. Song Jihua from Huangbuling Village was arrested and taken to the Ducun Police Station on the afternoon of June 2. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Li Shuzhen was arrested at her friend’s home by officers from the Fushan New Area Police Station at noon on June 3. Her home was ransacked.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ge Yuanhong Arrested

Officers from the Zhucheng City Domestic Security Division knocked on the door of Ms. Ge Yuanhong’s home at 6:20 a.m. on June 3, 2021. They deceived her into taking a nucleic acid test in Changyi City. Afterwards, they took her to the Changyi City Supervision Division. It was said that she would be tried on June 4th.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Xu Yinghua (gender unknown) and Xin (first name and gender unknown) from the Hongling Residential Community, Malanzi Sub-district, were arrested at home by Hongqi Town Police Station officers on June 2, 2021. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Xu Hongling was arrested by officers from the Chunliu Police Station on June 2.

Ms. Mao was arrested on June 2.

Ms. Li Chunmei was arrested and her home was ransacked on June 2nd. Her current situation is not known.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Shuxiu Arrested

Ms. Li Shuxiu was arrested and her home was ransacked on June 3, 2021.

10. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gao Pengguang’s Family Harassed

Mr. Gao Pengguang was arrested on April 24, 2020. His case was brought to the Hailin Court. He has been held in custody for over a year.

At the end of May 2021, Mr. Gao’s family member went to the court and applied to defend him as his friend and family. Judge Jiang Xinkun set hurdles for his family and asked for a certificate of no criminal record and to provide the original marriage certificate and other proof.

Mr. Gao’s family asked Jiang to issue a letter so that they could acquire these certificates, but Jiang refused. His family went to the Hailin Procuratorate to file a complaint, but the procuratorate refused to accept the complaint. Later, Mr. Gao’s family went to the Bamiantong Police Station to ask them to issue the certificates. The police station refused. Instead the officers told the family to get a letter of introduction among other documents from the court.

Mr. Gao went on a hunger strike in the detention center several times to protest the persecution and was taken to the hospital some time ago.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Fanglan Arrested

Ms. Lu Fanglan was arrested on a bus by officers from the East Guangchang Police Station on May 30, 2021. She is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.

12. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Ying Arrested

Six people, including two officers from the Gulin Street Police Station in the Dagang District, Binhai New Area; Chongyangli Residential Committee personnel; residential officers from the Banchang Road Police Station; and the director of the Xiangyiyuan Residential Committee, on orders from the Binhai New Area Domestic Security Division, went to Ms. Li Ying’s home on May 25, 2021.

The two Gulin Street Police Station officers arrested Ms. Li on the grounds that the decision of 15 days of administrative detention last year had not been carried out. They pressured her to sign the three statements and threatened to place her under administrative detention. For two days and one night, the officers took turns trying to “transform” her. As a result, her blood pressure went up to 199/135 mm Hg. She was released at around 5 p.m. on May 26.

13. [Mian County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Du Shuhui Harassed Again

Three police officers broke into Ms. Du Shuhui’s home when she was cooking lunch on April 19, 2021. They took her audio player that she had on. They threatened to take her to the Chengdong Police Station. Residential officer Yu Long took out the supervision record and told her to sign it, took pictures of her and a sample of her blood, and collected her fingerprints. Ms. Du was required to report to him once a month.

On June 3, 2021, three officers from the police station broke into Ms. Du’s home again and asked for a signature. She refused to sign and persuaded her family not to cooperate with them. That same day, Ms. Xue Lijun and Ms. Hou Xiuying were also harassed.

14. [Beijing] Mr. Ke Xingguo Harassed Again

Mr. Ke Xingguo was arrested by officers from the Wanshou Road Police Station in the Haidian District on the morning of April 23, 2021.

On the morning of June 4, a residential officer and personnel from the community management office went to Mr. Ke’s home and harassed him again. Mr. Ke’s wife was very frightened. Whenever she heard someone knocking on the door, she was terrified. She did not dare stay home. During the day, someone would have to push her in a wheelchair or give her a ride on a tricycle, circling the neighborhood. She had to go to the hospital every few days. Life in Mr. Ke’s family has been disrupted.

15. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Cao Changqi Arrested

Cao Changqi (gender unknown) from Caozhuang Village, Mengyin County, was arrested on the afternoon of May 31, 2021. Cao’s current whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Meifen Arrested

Ms. Zhang Meifen from the Dawan Community, Jimiya Port Area, was arrested at home by officers from the Lingshanwei Police Station in the Huangdao District in mid-May 2021. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books and printed materials. She was detained for three days. She has returned home.

17. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Guilin Road Police Station officers went to verify Ms. Xi Jinlan’s situation on May 27, 2021. Officers and staff members of the community management office called Ms. Xi’s son on May 28 and lied to him, saying that they needed to talk to him about food subsidies. When he went to the community office that afternoon, he was pressured to sign guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong. They also threatened that if he did not sign, he would not receive government subsidies. He refused to sign the statements.

Zhao Zongbao, a schoolteacher, photographed Ms. Xi and her grandson and sent the photos to Zhuwangpu Town officials. The officials threatened Ms. Xi’s daughter and the daughter’s brother-in-law that their household registration could be canceled and their land confiscated.

In the second half of 2020, Ms. Zhao Yueqin went to her daughter’s home in Lanzhou City, the capital of Gansu Province, to help take care of her grandchild. Jinyangli Community Management Office employees called her daughter and son-in-law and told Ms. Zhao to cooperate with the provincial Political and Legal Affairs Committee to talk over WeChat (a popular social media app) or face-to-face. Ms. Zhao refused to do so.

In April 2021, Pan Yinxia of the Community Management Office knocked on Ms. Zhao’s door to ask her to cooperate and threatened her with her daughter’s job. Ms. Zhao did not cooperate.

18. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qian Ruqin Harassed

Four officers from the Chengguan Police Station in the Feixiang District went to Ms. Qian Ruqin’s home in Nanguan Village on the afternoon of May 13, 2021. They started taking pictures of Ms. Qian and her husband as soon as they entered the house. They also took away photos of the founder of Falun Gong.
