(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 35 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Case against Ms. Li Hui Submitted to Procuratorate

Ms. Li Hui, 19, is a freshman in the Weifang Vocational College of Nursing. She was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested and is being detained in the Weifang Detention Center. Her case has been submitted to the Qingzhou City Procuratorate.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Yang Laixiao Arrested

Plainclothes officers from the Yangqing District Police Department went to Ms. Yang Laixiao’s home in the Dongwei Residential Community on June 24, 2021. They pretended to be from the epidemic prevention department and got into Ms. Yang’s home. They ransacked it and confiscated her Dafa books, a photo of Falun Gong's founder, two printers, and two computers. Ms. Yang was arrested while still in her nightclothes. She was taken to a hospital for a physical exam and her blood pressure was over 200. She was interrogated in the Yangqing District Police Department. She did not answer any questions and refused to sign the transcript.

Ms. Yang was taken to the Changping Detention Center after midnight that day. Her blood pressure was still over 200 during the second exam and she was denied admission by the detention center. She was taken back to the Yanqing District Police Department and placed under residential surveillance. Her husband was called to pick her up. She returned home around 2 a.m.

3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qi Yajie Harassed Four Times in One Month

Ms. Qi Yajie, nearly 70, was harassed four times by Gaocun Town Police Station officers in June 2021. When they came the first time, they went to the empty house next to Ms. Qi where her mother-in-law used to live. Ms. Qi was not at home when they came the second time. They confiscated a photo of Falun Gong's founder. Ms. Qi tried to get the photo back when they came the third time. Ms. Qi was not at home when they came back the fourth time. Her husband lost his patience and simply replied, “Working,” when he was asked where Ms. Qi was.

4. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Three practitioners in Dashansi Village of Duozhuang Town—Mr. Zhao Chuanwu, Mr. Zhao Chuanwen, and Ms. Liu Fenghou—were harassed by Wang Qisheng, the secretary of the village Party committee, on June 28 and 29, 2021. The practitioners were photographed.

Xu Yucheng, secretary of the village Party committee, called Mr. Yan Guangxin from Gaojiazhuang Village and pressured him to turn in a photo of himself.

5. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yufen Harassed

Ms. Wang Yufen was harassed at home in May 2021. Zhao Jianmin from the Zhuozhou City Procuratorate, two directors, and one police officer went to Ms. Wang’s home to harass her. After she refused to sign a form and refused to show her resident ID, Zhao Jianmin threatened to deduct money from her salary.

6. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Er and Ms. Gao Arrested

Ms. Sun Er, 60, and Ms. Gao, around 60, who are both from the Lanshan District, were arrested on June 26, 2021. They are detained in the Yucai Road Police Station.

7. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Mr. Ding Luyi and His Wife Ms. Ai Cuili Arrested and Detained

Mr. Ding Luyi and his wife Ms. Ai Cuili live in Tianyoufang Village, Fanjiatun Town. They were arrested by Lishu County Police Department officers on June 15, 2021. Mr. Ding is now in the Lishu County Detention Center and Ms. Ai is in the Siping City Detention Center. Their families were not allowed to visit them or send them clothes.

On June 28, 2021, their elderly mothers took a taxi to the Lishu County Police Department, which is nearly 200 km away, to talk to Wang Minshan, head of the Lishu County Domestic Security Division. They needed crutches after getting out of the taxi. Wang refused to see them.

8. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Chen Guohua Arrested

Chen Guohua (gender unknown) was arrested on April 23, 2021, during a large-scale raid targeting the practitioners in the Shenli Oilfield by Binhai Police Department officers. Chen’s home was ransacked. More than 21 practitioners were harassed or arrested on April 21-23, 2021. Six of them are still detained. Chen Guohua was released on bail pending trial.

9. [Ruian City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Wu Renfei Arrested

Mr. Wu Renfei from Mayu Town was arrested by plainclothes officers on the morning of June 28, 2021.

10. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yunfeng Arrested

Ms. Liu Yunfeng was arrested on June 29, 2021, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was released and returned home around 10 p.m. that night. Her cell phone was confiscated.

11. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Shuqiong and Ms. Pan Dongmei Arrested

Ms. Yang Shuqiong brought 75-year-old Ms. Pan Dongmei to her home on her electric bike on the afternoon of June 22, 2021. Just after they arrived, a dozen officers from the Gaoxin District 610 Office and the local police station showed up. They broke the lock, entered Ms. Pan's home, and arrested both women. The police took Ms. Yang Shuqiong to her home and ransacked it.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Shulan Arrested

Ms. Liu Shulan was arrested in mid-February 2021. Details are unknown.

13. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Harassed

Several practitioners in Xifan Town in the Xindu District have been harassed by local community staff members and officers from the Xinfan Town Police Station. They are Ms. Zhou Cui from Xifan Town; Zhou Huiqun from Gaoli Village; and three practitioners from Wan’an Village: Jiang Weiji, Gao Chunfang, and Min Buzhou. They were pressured to sign the three statements. Some had their hands grabbed to get their fingerprints.

14. [Dongguan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Huo Xun Harassed

Mr. Huo Xun, 34, lives in Songmushan Village, Dalang Town. His home was ransacked by the police on the afternoon of June 27, 2021. More than 20 Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials were confiscated. He is now under surveillance.

Mr. Huo was sentenced to three years in prison in 2012 because he refused to stop practicing Falun Gong.

15. [Wugang City, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Fenglian Arrested

Ms. Yang Fenglian, 70, lives in Dougou Village, Yinji Township. She was arrested at her home by Yinji Township Police Station officers on June 25, 2021.

16. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Three Practitioners’ Homes Ransacked

Officers from the Railway Police Department went to the home of 70-year-old Mr. Liu Yuansheng’s son on the afternoon of June 16, 2021. They confiscated Mr. Liu’s Falun Dafa books, media player, truth-clarifying materials, and hand-copied Dafa books.

Ms. Ning Cuixiang, 63, works at the No. 169 Hospital of Hengyang City. Railway Police Department officers ransacked her home on the afternoon of June 16, 2021. They confiscated her cell phone, media player, and Falun Dafa books.

Officers from the Railway Police Department and the Miaopu Police Station went to the home of 73-year-old Ms. Mao Shuyuan around 3 p.m. on June 13, 2021. They confiscated all her Falun Dafa books, media players, and keepsakes.

17. [Anyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Duan Yanlin Arrested

Mr. Duan Yanlin, in his 50s, was arrested at home by Beiguan District Domestic Security Division officers on the morning of June 26, 2021. His home was ransacked. Mr. Duan was taken to the Domestic Security Division and later transferred to the Anyang City Detention Center.

18. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yafen Arrested

A Chengde County plainclothes officer followed Ms. Li Yafen for distributing truth-clarifying materials in Dongying Village, Chengde County, on June 27, 2021. She was arrested at home and her home was ransacked. Her personal belongings, including a computer, printer, Falun Dafa books, and paper bills with messages about Falun Gong printed on them, were confiscated. Ms. Li is now possibly detained in the Chengde County Detention Center.

19. [Quzhou County, Hebei Province] Ms. Xiuyue Arrested

Ms. Xiuyue from Yizhuang Township was arrested by 20 to 30 officers from the Quzhou County Police Department and the Yizhuang Township Police Station on June 29, 2021. Her home was ransacked.

20. [Beijing] Ms. Yang Yulan Placed Under Residential Surveillance

Ms. Yang Yulan from Yanqing Town in the Yanqing District was arrested on June 24, 2021. She was released on June 25, 2021, after she developed a fever. She is now under residential surveillance.

21. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Gu Zengmao Harassed

Mr. Gu Zengmao was harassed multiple times at the end of June 2021. Wang Hong and Jia Jiang from the Pengzhou City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and Guo Jun from the Tongji Town government pressured Mr. Gu to sign a guarantee statement, which he firmly refused to do. They even attempted to hold his hand to make him do it but failed because Mr. Gu struggled so hard. They threatened that his daughter would have to stop working and would have to accompany him to a brainwashing center for three months. Mr. Gu left home to avoid further persecution. His daughter has been suspended from her job.

22. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liu Zilan Arrested

Ms. Liu Zilan from Tangshan City went to Shenzhen City to visit her daughter. She was arrested at her daughter’s home around 8 p.m., June 28, 2021, for talking about Falun Gong to a homeless man.

23. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dong Yuhuan Persecuted

A Taiping Police Station officer pretending he worked for the property management office harassed Ms. Dong Yuhua around 7 p.m. on March 4, 2021. After he got inside, he told Ms. Dong that she was being summoned to go to the police station the next day to sign a document related to her bail release last year. He tried to get Ms. Dong’s cell phone number before he left, but she wouldn’t give it to him.

Another Taiping Police Station officer went to Ms. Dong’s home again in May 2021 and said that Ms. Dong had to go to the police station. Ms. Dong did not go.

Ms. Dong was arrested by Taiping Police Station officers on June 18, 2021, and taken to a detention center.
