(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Slovakia held events on the weekend of June 25, 2021. In the northern border city Čadca, they demonstrated the exercises and talked to people about the ancient spiritual practice. They also collected signatures on a petition that called for an end to the persecution in China.
Čadca was established in the 17th century. The small town of 25 thousand is close to Poland and the Czech Republic. A popular skiing destination, the surrounding countryside is filled with lush green plants in summer.
Around 10 a.m. on June 25, practitioners gathered at the booth they set up in the city center and distributed fliers to passersby. They told people about Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China, who practice Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. They explained that the CCP harvests organs from illegally detained practitioners while they are still alive.
Passersby were attracted to the serene music as practitioners demonstrated the exercises. One elderly lady told a practitioner, “I can feel very good energy coming from all of you!”
Another lady who stopped to watch the practitioners' exercise demonstration said that she was drawn the Falun Dafa exercises and wanted to learn them. An elderly man stopped and watched practitioners for a long time then said that he liked the gentle and slow exercise movements very much and that he wanted to learn them.

A tourist told a practitioner that he came from another city. The practitioner told him about Falun Dafa and how the CCP persecutes it. He asked if he wanted to sign the petition to show his support for human rights. The man immediately signed and said that he would tell another friend to sign the petition to support Falun Dafa. After signing the petition, a lady told a practitioner, “I feel that you all have such genuine and sincere energy!”
An elderly teacher stopped at the practitioners' booth and listened while a practitioner told a passersby about the persecution. After listening he said he felt the least he could do was to sign the petition to call for an end to the persecution.
Activities in Bratislava
Practitioners also held activities in Slovakia's capital, Bratislava, on the afternoon of June 27, 2021. With the easing of the pandemic restrictions and the warm, summer weather, the streets were filled with people. Practitioners gathered at the square opposite the opera house to demonstrate the exercises and distribute fliers. The practitioners explained to residents and tourists about the ongoing 22-year-long persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners by the CCP, and how the CCP forcibly harvests organs from practitioners.
A gentleman said that he would like to learn how to practice Falun Dafa. The practitioner told him that after practicing Falun Dafa, his backache disappeared. The gentleman immediately said that he really needed to practice Falun Dafa as he was suffering from back pain too. After answering the gentleman’s questions about the nearest practice site, the practitioner also told him about the CCP's persecution in China. The man was very shocked and signed the petition. The gentleman said, “I hope that the persecution will not happen here. In fact, these criminal acts should not be happening anywhere in this world.”
