(Minghui.org) The police in Tianjin recently forced a 75-year-old woman to press her fingerprint on a statement to renounce her faith in Falun Gong.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Jiang Guangfeng was arrested on the afternoon of June 7, 2021. At the Fanghua Residential Committee, the director, Zhu Zhen, and a dozen police officers ordered her to press her fingerprint on a prepared statement to renounce Falun Gong.
When Ms. Jiang refused to comply, the officers surrounded her and forcibly held her hands. As she struggled, they slapped her in the face, took off her socks and stuffed them into her mouth.
Her index finger, middle finger and ring finger on the right hand became swollen and turned dark as a result. Exhausted, she collapsed on the ground. Two staff members of the residential committee helped her walk back home. As she was walking, she could barely breathe due to extreme pain under her right armpit.

Ms. Jiang told her neighbors about the police violence and many of them condemned the police for persecuting an elderly woman.
