1. [Beijing] One Practitioner Harassed, Three Missing

Ms. Zhang Fulan, 76, has been missing since mid-April 2021.

Ms. Jia Yanru, in her 60s, has been missing since April 5, 2021.

Ms. Jia Xiaoling visited the wife of an arrested practitioner, Mr. Ke Xingguo, and discussed hiring a lawyer on the evening of May 4, 2021. Mr. Ke's daughter reported her to the Wanshou Road Police Station. The police came and Ms. Jia is missing.

Ms. Lu Meixia was ordered to take a nucleic acid test by Song Bo and Kang Yuan from the Haidian Railroad Police Department and the Zhuxinzhuang Police Station. The officers said they would take her away by force on May 12.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xie Rongchun and Ms. Xu Lina Detained

Mr. Xie Rongchun and his wife, Ms. Xu Lina, were arrested on April 20, 2021. They were taken to the No. 3 Detention Center and the No. 4 Detention Center respectively after they were in police custody for 15 days. They were released from prison only seven months ago.

The parents of Mr. Xie, in their 80s, went to visit their son and daughter-in-law. Their hearts were broken to see the two incarcerated again. They were barely able to stand. Even the prison guards had a hard time watching them.

3. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Yanmin Harassed

Mr. Li Yanmin was harassed at home by officer Zhao Xijun from the Shaoguo Town Police Station and security director Sun Chengmin from Tianxing Village after 10:00 a.m. on May 11, 2021. They ordered him and his wife to sign a paper renouncing Falun Gong and said that, if they did not obey, their family would be implicated. Zhao threatened the couple and told them not to let him catch them talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong again.

4. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Suhua and Her Husband Harassed

Ms. Yang Suhua and her husband were harassed at home by four clerks from their community on May 7, 2021. The clerks secretly photographed the couple with their cell phones. Ms. Yang stopped them, but they said they would come back.

5. [Yaan City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Harassed, Pensions Deducted

Ms. Huang Xiuhua, in her 70s, was persecuted for three years for practicing Falun Gong. She has been subjected to financial persecution since last year. Her monthly pension was 2,400 yuan. Since last year, half of that, 1,200 yuan, has been deducted so she receives only 1,200 yuan a month.

Mr. Fu Jiaqi, in his 80s, is retired from a transportation company. He was persecuted for four years for practicing Falun Gong. He has been subjected to financial persecution since last year. His monthly pension was 3,800 yuan, but 800 yuan has been deducted from it since last year.

Ms. Zhou Fuping, 65, was harassed by the police in March 2021. When the officers came, she did not open the door, so they had the property manager knock on her door. She did not open it. The officers called her husband’s number the next day. She answered. When the officers ordered her to sign a paper in the police station, she refused.

Ms. Li Lan, 67, was harassed at home in April 2021. Neighborhood officer Dai Peng led several people to her home. They took photos inside. Dai said, “Sign the paper, that’s all.”

6. [Shizhuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Four Practitioners Sentenced

Ms. Chen Xiuping, Ms. Shi Meilan, Ms. Yu Dezhen, and Ms. Liu Cuimei are being held at the Shizhuishan City Detention Center. On April 26, 2021, they received a Criminal Sentence Statement dated April 22, 2021, from the Dawukou District Court.

Ms. Chen was sentenced to three years and six months in prison and fined 25,000 yuan. Ms. Shi was sentenced to three years and two months in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. Ms. Yu was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 30,000 yuan. Ms. Liu was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. They all decided to appeal.

7. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Yu Hongfa and Ms. Yin Ruihua Detained

Mr. Yu Hongfa and his wife, Ms. Yin Ruihua, were arrested at home by officers from the Baohe District Domestic Security Division and the Luogang Police Station on April 21, 2021. The officers ransacked the place and confiscated their Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, hanging decorations, two notebook computers, five cell phones, hard drives, and other items. Mr. Yu and Ms. Yin were detained for seven days. After the couples’ repeated demands, the police returned two notebook computers, five cell phones, and hard drives. The other items are still held by the police.

8. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Hang Chunling Sentenced

Ms. Huang Chunling was arrested when she was visiting another practitioner in March 2021. She was held in a detention center and later released on bail. The police threatened her husband. She did not want him to be implicated, so they divorced. She moved back to her parents’ home. She was arrested again and sentenced to three years in prison. She is being incarcerated in the Shandong Province Women’s Prison.

9. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Mingxiu Harassed

Ms. Han Mingxiu was searched by officers from the Nanwang Police Station on the morning of April 26, 2021, after someone reported her when she talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The officers confiscated three Falun Gong pamphlets and two keepsakes.

10. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Zhan Ruilin Arrested

Zhan Ruilin (gender unknown), 90, was arrested in Liqun Transportation Point by three officers for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at noon on March 9, 2021. Zhan was taken to the Zijingshan Police Station and interrogated in a room with an iron chair and other instruments of torture. The officers ransacked Zhan’s home and confiscated two Falun Gong books, keepsakes, and other items. Zhan was released the same day.

11. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xu Qiuzhen Detained

Ms. Xu Qiuzhen of Jiaoling County was arrested at home by officers from the county Domestic Security Division on April 28, 2021. They ransacked her place and confiscated Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, two printers, Falun Gong pamphlets, over 2,000 yuan in cash, and other items. She is being held at the Xingning City Detention Center.

Ms. Zhong (first name unknown) was interrogated by the police two or three days after Ms. Xu’s arrest. Ms. Zhong was released.

12. [Lechang City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Cao Liping, Ms. Huang Xiangui, and Ms. He Zhuhong were arrested in Ms. Cao’s home on April 25, 2021. Ms. Cao is being held at the Sanshui Brainwashing Center. The other two practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Officer Zhang Junjie and others from the Nancheng Police Station went to the home of the son of Yao Lanqing (gender unknown) in early April 2021. The officers asked what Yao thought about Falun Gong and recorded his response.

The daughter of Mr. Zhang Jianguo was harassed at work by officer Zou Ligong and others from the Nancheng Police Station on May 7, 2021. They located Mr. Zhang, asked him if he was still practicing Falun Gong, and recorded the process.

Ms. Li Qing was harassed at work by officer Zou Ligong from the Nancheng Police Station on May 8, 2021. The officer asked if she still practiced Falun Gong and recorded their exchange.

14. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jiang Shuqin Harassed

Ms. Jiang Shuqin was harassed at home on April 21, 2021, by people from the Daxinggezhuang Village Brigade, who were following orders from the Zhuozhou City Political and Legal Affairs Committee. They ordered her to renounce Falun Gong. She refused. They threatened her son and daughter-in-law that their child’s education would be impacted and would later have trouble getting into college or the army or applying for government positions.

15. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Tiezhen’s Husband Harassed

Ms. Gao Tiezhen’s husband received a call from the Malanzhuang Town Police Station on April 28, 2021. The officer asked for their address and phone numbers and said police would visit them at home. Frightened, her husband complied.

The police called her husband again on May 5 and demanded a virtual meeting. Ms. Gao refused to allow it.

16. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Seven Practitioners Persecuted

Ms. Zhang Xiuying’s home was ransacked on May 12, 2021. The officers wanted to take her away, but her family protested, telling them she had just been discharged from the hospital. The officers took her medical records but did not take her away.

Seven or eight officers and officer assistants from the Huoju Road Police Station drove in two cars to the home of Mr. Li Guozhong and his wife Ms. Zhang Yuxiang on May 12, 2021. The practitioners did not open the door. The officers called their son and daughter, went to their homes, and ordered them to cooperate and made their parents open the door so they could conduct a search.

After a long stand-off with the police, the son asked his parents to open the door and called a locksmith in case they would not. The officers ransacked their home and garage, confiscated Falun Gong books, and recorded everything on a cell phone. They took Mr. Li, Ms. Zhang, and their son and daughter away.

Ms. Zhang Guifang was arrested on the morning of May 12, 2021. Ms. Shan Huanrong was arrested at home the same day and has been held in the Shuiwuzhuang Police Station.

Mr. Li Enhong, in his 50s, was arrested at home by four officers from the Qiulaopu Police Station on May 12, 2021. He is being held in the Caofeidian District No.2 Police Department.

The same day morning, Zhao Shuixin (gender unknown) was arrested by four or five officers. The officers brought ladders to climb over the wall.

17. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Men Fengming Harassed

Mr. Men Fengming was harassed at home by two officers from the Qigezhuang Township Police Station on the evening of April 20, 2021. They ordered him to sign a paper renouncing Falun Gong. He refused.

18. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Guilan Harassed

Ms. Liu Guilan, 70, was harassed at home by three officers from the Dage Town Police Station on April 6, 2021. Her sister, a practitioner, was visiting her and did not let the officers enter. The officers said they were following orders from the police department and asked if the sisters still practiced Falun Gong. The sister said, “Show your police IDs and official documents.” They replied that they had neither.

19. [Qing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Fengmei Detained

Ms. Li Fengmei was arrested on the morning of May 12, 2021, when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at a flea market. She is being held at the Qing County Detention Center.

20. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Hong Chang Detained

Mr. Hong Chang was arrested by officers from the Shangtang Police Station. He is being held at the Gongshu District Detention Center.

21. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Zhang Lin Held in Brainwashing Center

Zhang Lin (gender unknown) was taken to a brainwashing center by agents from the Yichang City 610 Office on the morning of May 11, 2021.

22. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Jianqun Arrested, Ms. Xiong Guiju in Exile

Ms. Li Jianqun, in her 70s, was arrested on April 17, 2021, by Zhongshan Park Police Station officers for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the nearby brainwashing center. They took a sample of her blood and gave her a CT scan against her will.

Ms. Xiong Guiju was arrested by officers from the Nanhu Police Station and released at 1:00 a.m. on May 5, 2021. Around 8:30 a.m., agents from the Jiang’an District 610 Office went to her home to take her to the Jiang’an District Brainwashing Center, but she was not there She is in exile.

23. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zeng Jinhuan Detained

Ms. Zeng Jinhuan was arrested at home on May 3, 2021. She is being held at the Hong’an County Detention Center.

24. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. He Li Detained

Ms. He Li was arrested at home on April 11, 2021. She was detained for 10 days.

25. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Wei Arrested

Ms. Wang Wei, in her 60s, was arrested at home by Song Zheng from the Sujiatun District Domestic Security Division and officers from the Jiefang Police Station and the Dagou Police Station on May 6, 2021. They gave her a physical exam and a nucleic acid test against her will. She was handcuffed behind her back. Four strong officers held her down and pulled her mouth until the corners of her mouth bled.

She experienced shortness of breath and dizziness, and the doctor said she’d had a heart attack. Her family brought her home. She is still recovering; her face and chest still hurt.
