1. [Gujiao City, Shanxi Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison from Five Years and Six Months to Nine Years and Six Months Respectively

Four practitioners were sentenced to prison by the Wanbolin Court of Taiyuan City on April 30, 2021. Ms. Zhang Bianying was sentenced to nine years and six months in prison; Ms. Gong Guoqing, eight years and six months; Ms. Chang Ying, seven years and six months; Ms. Li Zhong’e, five years and six months.

According to their family members, the practitioners were tried online in the detention center. The families didn’t know where they were detained at the beginning and were not allowed to give money or send things.

Ms. Zhang Bianying, Ms. Gong Guoqing and Wu Baoming (gender unknown) from the Lunlan Subdistrict were arrested at home on May 17, 2020. They were detained in the No.3 Detention House of Taiyuan City. Ms. Li Zhong’e and Ms. Chang Ying were later arrested at home.

2. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Cases Against 15 Practitioners Submitted to Procuratorate

More than 20 practitioners including Mr. Li Zhigang, Ms. Xu Lihua, and Mr. Meng Kai, were arrested by officers from the Changsha City Police Department and its affiliated police stations on October 27 and 28, 2020. Fifteen of the practitioners were detained in the No.2 Detention Center (for males) and the No.4 Detention Center (for females) respectively.

Recently some families of the detained practitioners received a notice that the practitioners would be tried in court. The cases against the practitioners were submitted to the Liuyang Procuratorate on April 27, 2021.

3. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Gu Cuiying Arrested

Ms. Gu Cuiying was arrested at her temporary home in Anhui Province by officers from Nanqiao District, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province on April 16, 2021.

Ms. Gu from Nanjing City, 64, has been arrested and suffered home raids multiple times. Her Dafa books and MP3 media players were confiscated from her home.

4. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Hong Chang Missing

Mr. Hong Chang lives alone in Hangzhou City. His family members have been unable to contact him for more than ten days.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Huiyun Sentenced to Four and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Zhang Huiyun from Daxing District was arrested on September 5, 2019, and was detained in the Fengtai Detention Center. She was tried in the Fengtai District Court in March 2021. Her family was not informed about her trial. It is learned recently that Ms. Zhang was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Shufen's Home Raided

Ms. Xu Shufen's home was raided on the morning of May 10, 2021. Three or four officers including Zhang Lin from the Longfeng District Police Department ransacked her home and confiscated a lot of personal belongings. They attempted to arrest Ms. Xu but gave up because of her poor health. Ms. Xu left her home to avoid further persecution.

7. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Xiaoyou Harassed

Officers from the Zhihe Town Police Stations including Liu Dongyong came to Mr. Chen Xiaoyou’s home in Taiping Community at 7:30 a.m. on May 11, 2021. They searched the home carefully and confiscated the photo of Falun Gong's founder and some items which belonged to Mr. Chen’s daughter. They even checked Mr. Chen’s grandson’s belongings and ordered him to power on the computer. They checked underneath their beds with flashlights. They photographed everyone in the family.

For years, Mr. Chen Xiaoyou’s family has been monitored and harassed by local police and local authorities.

Mr. Chen’s wife Ms. Liu Darong was arrested in September 2020. She was detained in the Zhihe Town Police Station for 12 hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and had a blood sample taken.

8. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Dong Huanying Sentenced to Two Years and Nine Months

Ms. Dong Huanying was sentenced to two years and nine months. She was arrested on April 19, 2021.

9. [Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Qiu Fenghua Arrested

Ms. Qiu Fenghua has been harassed constantly since November 2020 and was pressured to sign the three statements. She was arrested on May 7, 2021, and her home was ransacked. Her shop was closed. It is unknown where she was detained. She may face long-term detention.

10. [Lechang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cao Liping and Ms. Huang Xiangui Arrested

Ms. Cao Liping was arrested at the end of April 2021. She was detained in the Shaoguan Detention House and her family was not allowed to visit her.

Ms. Huang Xiangui from Pingshi Town was arrested at the beginning of April 2021. She was detained in the Shaoguan Detention Center and her family was not allowed to visit her.

11. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Li Shoujie's Home Raided

Ms. Li Shoujie is in her 50s. Her home was raided on the morning of May 10, 2021. Officers from the Guoxiang Police Station in Wuzhong District confiscated her computer, the printer, several Dafa books, CDs, etc.

12. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ding Shuhua Arrested and Detained

Ms. Ding Shuhua from the Shuangta District, 69, was arrested by officers from the Qianjin Police Station around 2 p.m. on May 7, 2021, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. Her personal belongings including more than 40 Dafa books, a photo of Falun Gong's founder, and a media player, were confiscated. Ms. Ding was taken to the Xidayingzi Detention Center.

Her husband in his 70s was left alone at home. He had a stroke before and needs his wife to take care of him.

13. [Chongqing] Two Practitioners Arrested

It is learned that Xiao Tian (gender unknown) from Nanping Town and another practitioner (name unknown) were arrested on the street. Xiao Tian’s home was ransacked on May 7, 2021. Xiao Tian is currently in custody.

14. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yang Yaling Taken to Brainwashing Center

After Ms. Yang Yaling served the 10-day administration detention, she was directly taken to a brainwashing center by officers from Wucheng Domestic Security Division on the morning of May 10, 2021.

15. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Liyan and Ms. Wang Wei Arrested

Ms. Liu Liyan from Sujiatun District was arrested around 9 a.m. on May 6, 2021, by officer Song Zhenghe from the Sujiatun District Domestic Security Division just after she left her home. The detention center refused to admit her due to health reasons. Ms. Liu was released on bail pending trial on the morning of May 7, 2021.

Ms. Wang Wei from the Sujiatun District was arrested on the same day, May 6, 2021. Because she did not cooperate and take the nucleic acid test, her mouth was forced open and she bled a lot. She suffered a stroke during the physical examination so she was released.

16. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Five practitioners were followed and arrested by officers from the Nanjing Bridge Police Station around 9 a.m. on March 31, 2021. They are 82-year-old Ms. Pu Zexiu, 77-year-old Ms. Chen Weixing, 57-year-old Ms. Yang Shengzhen, 67-year-old Ms. Li Yulian, and 66-year-old Ms. Chen Xiurong. Their homes were ransacked.

The following personal belongings were confiscated: a media player, more than 40 Dafa books, three photos of Falun Gong's founder, several couplets, and more than 200 yuan in cash from Ms. Pu Zexiu’s home; eight Dafa books, a video player, and a computer from Ms. Li Yulian’s home; all Dafa books, four media players, a video player, a cell phone, and a set of lecture tapes from Ms. Chen Weixing's home; all Dafa books, a video player, a set of lecture tapes, a photo of Falun Gong's founder, five media players and a couplet from Ms. Chen Xiurong’s home.

17. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Sun Xinying and Liu Baoling Harassed or Arrested

Sun Xinying (gender unknown) was harassed at home by officers from the Beiqu Police Station and staff members from the Renmin Square Community during the Chinese New Year of 2021. They secretly photographed the practitioners.

Ms. Liu Baoling, 77, was arrested near the building where she lives around 11 a.m. on February 2, 2021. She was recorded by the surveillance camera when she distributed truth-clarifying materials in a market. Her home was ransacked. Her Dafa books and a photo of Falun Gong's founder were confiscated. She was released around 9 p.m., that same day.

18. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Fengying Harassed

Ms. Yang Fengying lives in Dongcangkou Village, Chewang Town, Wei County. She was harassed at home by six people including Li Xuelin, secretary of the village Party committee, the town officials, and the town police around 10 a.m. on May 8, 2021. They videotaped her home.

19. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Shangliang Harassed

Mr. Liu Shangliang lives in Jiayanzhuang Village, Woluogu Town. He was harassed by two town police officers on the afternoon of April 28, 2021. They asked him whether he still practiced Falun Gong and then asked about his family members.

20. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhu Yunxiang’s Pension Suspended

Ms. Zhu Yunxiang’s pension was suspended starting from May 10, 2021. Ms. Zhu from Huangpu District was sentenced to prison for 19 months, from March 2018 to October 2019.

21. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Han Yanli Sentenced to One Year in Prison

Mr. Han Yanli from Anhua County was sentenced to one year in prison on April 30, 2021. She is appealing her case.

22. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Weihong Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Zhang Weihong from Panji District was sentenced to four years in prison on April 16, 2021. She is detained in the Hefei Women’s Prison.

23. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Harassed or Arrested

Wu Deping (gender unknown) in the Nanyang Community was harassed at home three times by Li Tong and Liu Li from the “Care Center” and the local town officials on April 16, April 27 and May 7, 2021, respectively. They threatened further actions if Wu refused to give up practicing Falun Gong.

Five practitioners including Ms. Yi Sixiu, Ms. Luo Wanxiu, Ms. Liang Mingxiu, Mr. Ye Anhui, and Ms. Wu Guangqiong, went to Tongji Town to talk to people about Falun Gong on May 9, 2021. They were reported to the police and were arrested on a local bus. They were taken to the Haiwozi Police Station and were later released around 1 a.m.

24. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Du Xiuyun Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Du Xiuyun was arrested by officers from the Changtong Police Station in the Nanguan District on November 25 (or 26), 2019 with two other practitioners Ms. Du Xiulan and Mr. Li Jinhui (Ms. Du’s younger sister and brother-in-law).

Ms. Du was tried in the Chaoyang District Court on August 3, 2020. Her lawyer and her family were not informed about her trial. She was sentenced to four years in prison and was transferred from the No.4 Detention Center of Changchun City to the Jilin Women’s Prison on April 26, 2021.

25. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Han Guangrong Harassed

Officers from the Xicheng Police Station and staff members from the Xinsheng Street Community forcefully broke into Ms. Hang Guangrong’s home around 10 a.m. on May 8, 2021. Ms. Han was not at home. Her 79-year-old brother could not stop them from breaking in and was terrified. They wanted Ms. Han to stop by the police station to sign the guarantee statement.

Ms. Han’s son received a harassing call from the Xicheng Police Station on the afternoon of May 7, 2021. His wife and his daughter also received harassing calls before. The home of Ms. Han’s son was photographed. To avoid further harassment, Ms. Han’s son told the police that his mother no longer practiced Falun Gong.

26. [Lijin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiuling Arrested and Detained

Ms. Li Xiuling was arrested at home on April 21, 2021. Her home was ransacked and her personal belongings including Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials, a cell phone and a computer was confiscated.

Ms. Li and several other practitioners were taken to the Hekou Detention Center in Dongying City on April 22, 2021. She fainted on April 28, 2021, because of not eating and was released on bail pending trial. She was under travel restriction.

Currently, several other practitioners from Lijin County are detained in the Niuzhuang Brainwashing Center and the Dongying Detention Center.

27. [Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Zhifang Tried in Court

Ms. Wang Zhifang was arrested on April 9, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was later released on bail pending trial.

Ms. Wang was tried in the Zhangjiagang Court on February 9, 2021. She is currently detained in the Suzhou Detention Center.

Ms. Wang was sentenced to three years and three months in prison on August 27, 2014. Her pension of 129659.1 yuan during her custody had been deducted since 2020. She currently receives no pension payments.

28. [Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Ling Xiuying Threatened

Ms. Ling Xiuying in her 70s and her husband were recently taken to the Bingxi Police Station. When she was told that she would be sentenced to prison, she passed out.

29. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Mei Hongjuan and Ms. Wu Xiaoming Arrested

Ms. Mei Hongjuan was arrested by officers from the Mudu Police Station. She is still detained in the police station. Her family was not allowed to meet her and was told to wait for the answer in 24 hours.

Ms. Wu Xiaoming was arrested by officers from the Xukou Police Station. She is still detained in the police station.

30. [Wanrong County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Cuixia Faces Trial

Ms. Wang Cuixia will be tried in court on May 12, 2021.

31. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuyun and Ms. Hui Xinnu Harassed

Three officers from the Chengguan Police Station, Zaoqiang County came to Ms. Zhang Xiuyun’s home on the afternoon of April 19, 2021. They asked Ms. Zhang’s husband whether his wife still practiced Falun Gong. They photographed the home and did audio recording.

Three officers from the Chengguan Police Station came to Ms. Hui Xinnu’s home around 11 a.m. on May 10, 2021. They videotaped the home and the family members and asked whether Ms. Hui still practiced Falun Gong.

Officers from the Zaoqiang Town Police Station harassed several practitioners with the help of the village officials in early May 2021. They did some videotaping and audio recordings.

32. [Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Ma Yongju Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Ma Yongju was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan by the Zhongshan District Court on April 25, 2021. Ms. Ma has appealed to the Liupanshui Intermediate court.

Ms. Ma Yongju was arrested at the People’s Square by officers from the Chaoyang Police Station at the end of May 2020. She was detained in the Dayakou Detention House.
