Japan: Falun Dafa Practitioners in Kumamoto Commemorate the April 25, 1999, Appeal

(Minghui.org) On April 25, 22 years ago, in an effort to obtain the release of Tianjin Falun Dafa practitioners who were illegally detained, and ask for the right to practice Falun Dafa, 10,000 Falun Dafa practitioners appealed at Beijing’s General Appeals Office of the State Council.

The practitioners displayed peacefulness, rationality, conscience, and courage. What these practitioners did was a monumental feat in an attempt to uphold the righteousness and integrity of humankind.

To commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the April 25 appeal, Falun Dafa practitioners in Kumamoto, Japan, gathered in front of the Chinese Embassies in Fukuoka and Nagasaki in Kyushu on April 25, 2021. They held a peaceful protest against the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa), which has persisted for 22 years. The practitioners called for the international community to take action on this matter, and join in to end the CCP atrocities.

Falun Dafa was introduced to the public in China by Master Li Hongzhi in 1992. The practice spread to many parts of China within just a few years, with more than a hundred million people cultivating in Falun Dafa.

Not only did practitioners obtain healthy bodies, they also attained a higher level of purity, and their inner souls were elevated.

Jiang Zemin’s Jealousy

CCP dictator Jiang Zemin, however, became jealous. He mobilized the CCP’s entire national news system to spread lies that defamed Falun Gong to all of China, and even the whole world. The CCP’s efforts resulted in the persecution of millions of Falun Gong practitioners, people who follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Since July 20, 1999, when the CCP started its illegal suppression of Falun Gong, more than 100 million Falun Gong practitioners and their families suffered under an unprecedented persecution.

Youngest Participant

The youngest participant of the protest event that day was a 13-year-old secondary school student. He said, “I have been cultivating in Falun Dafa with my parents since I was a baby. When I was born, I suffered from many illnesses. Cultivating in Falun Dafa restored my good health.

“Falun Dafa is the best practice in the entire world. I want to seek justice for Falun Dafa. Today is my first time presenting my declaration article, so I am a bit nervous. However, I plucked up my greatest courage today to let more people understand the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. We want to end this cruel persecution as soon as possible.”

Oldest Participant

The oldest participant in the event was Ms. Nakamoto, who is 80. Ms. Nakamoto said, “Sixteen years ago, when I had just retired, I was lucky to obtain Falun Dafa, and start on my path of cultivation.

Falun Dafa gave me a healthy body and allowed me to persist in participating in the signature events for five years and to sue Jiang Zemin, the main culprit who launched this persecution.

We visited the different counties of Kyushu and collected more than 520,000 signatures from people who support the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. I hope that more and more people can lend a helping hand after understanding the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa.”
