(Minghui.org) There is an ancient phrase that goes, “It costs an inch of gold for an inch of time, but you can’t purchase an inch of time with an inch of gold.” It means that time is more valuable than gold. Throughout history, people who achieved great things were hardworking, studious, and didn't waste time. It should be more so for a cultivator.
Looking back on my cultivation journey, I regretted that I had wasted a lot of time. I became aware of the value of time when the Wuhan virus pandemic started last year. I squeezed out more time to do the three-things after Fa-study and doing the exercises.
I was busier, but my health condition improved, and I had no sickness karma for the entire year.
I had been doing the three things during the past 20 years. But, my previous attitude was more of completing a task than to save lives. I often spent hours chatting with non-practitioner friends or fellow practitioners after I finished my tasks.
Now, I understand that I had been wasting time. A genuine practitioner always feels that there isn’t enough time to save more lives, and won’t spend hours chatting about everyday people’s things.
Master has extended the time of Fa-rectification because many practitioners have not reached the standard yet, and not enough people are saved. We have no reason to waste time. Ordinary people say time is money. I think we practitioners would say time is life.
Ordinary people are busy for their self-interest, fame, and money. But we practitioners have a mission in the human world.
