“Do Not Fail”

(Minghui.org) The first song in this year's (2021) Shen Yun performance [which was broadcast to mainland China but has still yet to go on tour] is “Do Not Fail.” The last two lines of the lyrics are:

Do not fail to save beings in your heavenly world Do not fail for the sake of beings in your heavenly world

While watching the show, my tears fell. I cannot fail – not just for my own improvement or consummation, or validation of myself; rather, it is not to let down the sentient beings who are counting on us to be saved. 

There is a paradigm shift here. The future universe will last forever because beings are selfless. As soon as someone has a thought, it would be considerate of others. That is why the new universe will never be destroyed. In fact, Falun Dafa practitioners have been forged to become beings that are selfless and considerate of others. 

Since we cannot lose, who should we defeat then?

As disciples, we know that the true self of ours comes from microscopic realms, which have been completely cleansed by Master. Master has also pushed us to the highest place that we came from. We have become pure beings that align with the Fa, which gives us the ability to assist with Fa-rectification. 

But all kinds of human notions, and attachments to fame, interest, lust, and sentimentality are things that belong to the three realms. In fact, they are manifestations of the impure beings in our universe or the environment we are responsible for. When these elements surface, our pure and true self should assist with Fa-rectification and eliminate them. These impure elements are the true targets we should defeat. They exist in our mind, heart, and field. Therefore, during xinxing conflicts or other tribulations, we should focus our energy on defeating these attachments or demonic interferences. We should not focus on the other side of the conflicts, be they everyday people or fellow practitioners. 

How do we achieve it then? Master wrote, 

“In fact, other than a person’s innate purity and innocence, all notions are acquired postnatally and are not a person’s actual self.” (“For Whom do You Exist?” Essentials for Further Advancement)

This is critical because these elements are interfering with our assistance in Fa-rectification. Eliminating these human notions and attachments will help sentient beings to be saved. 

Master said, 

“Your cultivation determines whether those gigantic groups of beings are good or bad, and whether they can be kept or not!” 

“Then perhaps many beings won’t be saved because you didn’t cultivate well—it’s because you haven’t cultivated well that they can’t become good. Your not getting rid of a lot of attachments interferes with them, and they, in turn, are also interfering with you.” (Teachings From a Tour of North America)

When we fail to have the Fa in our mind and when we ignore our mission, we could be defeated by these impure elements. When this happens, the sentient beings waiting to saved could face destruction. 

Dear fellow practitioners, When we are trapped in fame, interest, and sentimentality, please do not fail, for the sake of those sentient beings;When we are surrounded by resentment, please do not fail, for the sake of those sentient beings;When we are struggling to fight sickness karma, please do not fail, for the sake of those sentient beings;When we are being detained and it is difficult to hold on to our faith, please do not fail, for the sake of those sentient beings. 

These sentient beings are counting on us. Let our true self clean up all these impure elements by using the enormous power of the Fa. Please, “do not fail saving beings in your heavenly world.”
