(Minghui.org) Seven Falun Gong practitioners and a family member in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province were arrested on November 27, 2021, after they were followed and monitored by the local police for months.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Kang was arrested by officers of the Taihe District Domestic Security Office. As the police were ransacking her home, they arrested two more practitioners, one in his 70s and another in his 80s, both surnamed Zhang, when they came to visit Ms. Kang.

A fourth practitioner, Ms. Li, 75, was arrested as well and had her home ransacked.

After a fifth practitioner, Ms. Liu, in her 80s, was arrested, her daughter (who doesn’t practice Falun Gong) and a sixth practitioner in her 80s went to look for her, only to be arrested themselves.

A seventh practitioner, whose name is unknown and who has been studying Falun Gong’s teachings with Ms. Liu, was arrested as well.

All of the arrested practitioners and Ms. Liu’s daughter are now held at two local facilities, including the Beijiao Police Station and Xijiao Police Station. A police officer said they have been monitoring them and another dozen practitioners for a long time. He added that the arrests were ordered by the Taihe District Domestic Security Office. It’s not clear whether the other practitioners monitored by the police have been arrested at the time of writing.
