(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Rongxiu Faces Trial

Ms. Zhang Rongxiu from Xiditou Town will be tried online by the Nankai District Court at 2 p.m. on December 9, 2021

2. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Guiying Missing

Ms. Zhang Guiying has been missing for over 20 days. Her family learned that she might be arrested.

3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wu Chengjun Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison

Mr. Wu Chengjun was arrested on October 15, 2020. He was tried in the Huanren County Court on July 21, 2021. His lawyer from Beijing defended his innocence during the trial. Mr. Wu was sentenced to eight years in prison by the Huanren County Court on December 1, 2021. He has appealed to the Benxi Intermediate Court.

4. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Huixin and Ms. Tai Zhenzi Detained

Two elderly Korean practitioners, Ms. Jin Huixin and Ms. Tai Zhenzi, both 77, were tried by the Yanji City Court on December 6, 2021. They were fined 1,000 yuan and were placed under official arrest. They were taken to have a physical exam and they were each made to pay 500 yuan for the examination. They were then taken to the Yanji City Detention Center.

5. [Gong’an County, Hubei Province] Mr. Xu Feng Arrested and Detained

Mr. Xu Feng was arrested around 6 a.m. on December 7, 2021. His home was ransacked and his Falun Gong books were confiscated. Mr. Xu is detained in the Gong’an County Detention Center.

6. [Liangshan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Xiurong Faces Trial

Ms. Ma Xiurong was arrested on November 6, 2019 but was released later because of her physical condition. She was informed that she would be tried in court on December 8, 2021.

7. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Hongwei Arrested and Detained

Ms. Li Hongwei was arrested by officers from the Yuantian Road Police Station in the Jinshui District on November 1, 2021. She was detained in the police station for 20 days. Her home was ransacked three times during this period. Ms. Li was later transferred to a brainwashing center. She was transferred again to the No. 3 Detention Center of Zhengzhou City on December 4, 2021.

8. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Wang Shouyin and Yan Zhongbao Detained

Wang Shouyin (gender unknown) was arrested by officers from the Tongshan District Police Department on August 21, 2021 and has been detained in Xuzhou City since then.

Mr. Yan Zhongbao and his wife (non-practitioner) from Suining City are detained in Xuzhou City.

9. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Fengxian Forced to Sign a Guarantee Statement

Ms. Yang Fengxian lives in Niuzhuang Village, Shibajiazi Town, Changtu County. Officers from the town police station went to her home in October 2021. They forcibly held her hand to sign a guarantee statement.

10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Sumei and Ms. Lu Shulian Arrested and Detained

Ms. Ma Sumei and Ms. Lu Shulian were reported to police for telling people about Falun Gong and distributing truth clarifying materials. They were arrested by officers from the Jiayuan Police Station on the morning of December 5, 2021. They were released the afternoon of December 7, 2021.

11. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Bai Yuzhen and Ms. Jin Yuling Face Trial

Ms. Bai Yuzhen and Ms. Jin Yuling will be tried in the No.1 Detention Center at 8 a.m. on December 14, 2021.

12. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Cuizhi Harassed

Three officers from the Qian’an City Police Department went to Ms. Wang Cuizhi’s home around 10 a.m. on November 3, 2021. They questioned Ms. Wang and confiscated several Falun Gong books, three amulets, six desk calendars and some copies of Minghui Weekly from her home.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Hu Kaijun and Ms. Liu Deying Face Second Hearing

Ms. Hu Kaijun and Ms. Liu Deying received a subpoena and were told they would be tried again.

14. [Da’an City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Shuqin Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zhao Shuqin was arrested and detained on March 9, 2021 when she took a train from Changchun City to Langfang City to visit her sick daughter. Her current situation is unknown.

15. [Chongqing] Ms. Cao Xuejun Arrested and Detained

Ms. Cao Xuejun from the Bishan District was arrested by officers from the Tongliang District and the Bishan District on September 8, 2021. She was detained in a detention center. Her current situation is unknown.

16. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Geng Ruixiang Arrested

Ms. Geng Ruixiang from Xinji City was reported to police for distributing truth clarifying desk calendars in a residential community and was arrested. Her home was ransacked and her computer was confiscated. Her current situation is unknown.

17. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Shuqin Harassed

Ms. Wang Shuqin was harassed at home by staff members from the Niangniangmiao Community on December 2, 2021. They wanted her to say that she gave up practicing Falun Gong in front of video camera, which she refused to do.

Xu Jie, director of the Gaomi City 610 Office, and two community staff members went to Ms. Wang’s home on December 4, 2021. They tried to videotape her saying that she gave up practicing Falun Gong. After she refused, they deceived her husband into signing the guarantee statement on her behalf. They forced her to press her fingerprint on it.

18. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Yexiu and Her Husband Mr. Liu Yingsong Harassed

Ms. Huang Yexiu and her husband Mr. Liu Yingsong live in Fengquan Village, Aoping Town, Pengzhou City. Several people including Yang Shaoqi from the town government, three police officers, and the village director Pan Xianyong went to the couple’s home on the morning of December 1, 2021. They forced them to sign a guarantee statement.

19. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Zhilian and Ms. Li Xiulian Arrested and Detained

Ms. Li Zhilian, 70, and Ms. Li Xiulian, both from Xiangzhou District, were arrested on September 25, 2021. They are detained in the No. 1 Detention Center of Zhuhai City. Ms. Li Zhilian’s family hired a lawyer to defend her innocence.
