(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 44 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zheng Huaishu and Mr. Liu Jianjiang Harassed

Mr. Zheng Huaishu was harassed at home by officers from the Xiba Police Station, clerks from residential district, and staff from the community office in early September 2021. He and his wife were ordered to sign documents renouncing Falun Gong. They were told they would be held in a brainwashing center if they did not comply.

Mr. Liu Jianjiang was taken to the Wujiagang Brainwashing Center from his job at the Sanxia Highway Management Office, by officers from the Xibapianqu Police Station, officer Ye Bing from the Pinghu Police Department, and clerks from residential district and community.

2. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shen Guizhen Sentenced

Ms. Shen Guizhen was tried secretly by the Mishan Court in mid-July 2021. She was sentenced to 10 months and is being held in the Jixi City Detention Center.

3. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Guikun Released on Bail, Ms. Sun Jing Detained

Ms. Sun Jing and her husband, Mr. Li Guikun, were arrested in their own coal yard by officers from the Criminal Police Brigade, Domestic Security Division, and local police station on the evening of September 8, 2021. Ms. Sun is being held in the Fushun Detention Center. The Xinbin Domestic Security Division submitted her case to the Shuncheng District Procuratorate for an arrest warrant. Mr. Li was released on bail on the morning of September 16.

4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xue Guilan Detained

Ms. Xue Guilan, 78, was arrested by officers from the Jinzhou City Police Department on the morning of August 15, 2021 when she was posting Falun Gong flyers in the Gewang Open Market. Her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She is being held in the Jinzhou Detention Center.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Seven Practitioners Face Trial

Seven practitioners in the Xiangfang District, Harbin City, Mr. Li Lizhuang, Mr. Huo Xiaohui, Ms. Tang Zhuyin, Ms. Li Yanqing, Ms. Ding Yan, Ms. Jiao Qihua, and Ms. Zhao Lihua, were scheduled to be tried by the Ranghulu District Court, Daqing City, on September 23, 2021.

6. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Face Trial

Ms. Zhang Xia, Ms. Xing Guohua, and Ms. Zhang Xiuling of Zhangbei County were scheduled to be tried by the Zhangbei County Court on September 23, 2021.

7. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Bao Wanhua Harassed

Ms. Bao Wanhua, 71, was harassed at home at 11:00 p.m. on September 17, 2021. Clerk Lu Yan and others from the residential committee ordered her to sign three statements renouncing Falun Gong. They said these was orders from the top and that she would be held at brainwashing center if she did not sign.

To avoid further persecution, she no longer lives at home.

8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Fang Guilan Harassed

Ms. Fang Guilan was sought by community clerks on September 10, 2021. When they did not find her, the community head called her daughter and said they would photograph Ms. Fang. Her daughter said no.

9. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Face Trial

Ms. Zhao Jie, Mr. Yang Zhipeng, Ms. Yan Yulan, Bao Suhua (gender unknown), and Ms. Long Shuping were scheduled to be tried online by the Jingyang District Court in the Deyang City Detention Center from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on September 28, 2021.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Shen Yanqiao Detained

Ms. Shen Yanqiao was arrested by officers from the Zhongnanlu Police Station in July 2021. She is being held at the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.

11. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Zhao Yuhuan, Ms. Dong Fengmei, Mr. Pan Yipei, Mr. Jing Niansong, Ms. Gao Ailan, Mr. Hou Yufu, 86, and Ms. Hou Sumei, 86 (Mr. Hou’s wife), were harassed since August 2021 by officers from the Puji Police Station, agents from the residential district 610 Office, and village residents.

12. [Zouping City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wei Guangdong Harassed

Mr. Wei Guangdong was harassed at home by officers from the Zouping City Police Department and town police station in the end of July 2021. The officers videotaped Mr. Wei against his will, searched his computer, and ordered him to sign a document renouncing Falun Gong. He refused.

Mr. Wei was harassed, illegally detained, and held in a forced labor camp multiple times.

13. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Harassed

Mr. Zhang Wenyan, Ms. Cheng Jingxia, and Yuan Shiying (gender unknown) were harassed at home separately by three or four officers from the Dongmaquan Police Station, as well as the CCP secretary and security agent from the Zhangbiaofa Village on September 14, 2021. The practitioners were ordered to sign documents renouncing Falun Gong. Mr. Zhang’s family member signed it for Mr. Zhang without his knowledge.

14. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Quan Kehua Harassed

Mr. Quan Kehua was harassed at home by agents from the Pengzhou City government, officers from the Fanjianglu Police Station, community clerk Li Yuangang, and building coordinator Zhou Yuxiang on September 23, 2020. They forced him fingerprint a document renouncing Falun Gong and watch a video slandering Falun Gong.

15. [Pingding County Shaanxi Province] Ms. Chen Guimei Harassed

Ms. Chen Guimei was harassed at home by director Tian Zhenhua and deputy director Yang Jinlong from the Jucheng Town Police Station, deputy director Dong Huwei and others from the Pingding County Justice Bureau, and CCP deputy secretary Shao Yimin from Yirang Village on the morning of September 17, 2021. They tried to take her and her husband to a brainwashing center. She resisted and told them the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution. After more than an hour standoff, they left.

CCP secretary Li Xiaopang of the Yirang Village went to Ms. Chen’s home around 8:00 p.m. that night and ordered her to stop practicing Falun Gong. She refused.

16. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Chunshen Harassed

Ms. Liu Chunshen, in her 70s, was harassed at home by seven or eight plainclothes men from Wenquan Residential District on August 10, 2021. The men questioned her and her husband separately if they still practiced Falun Gong and tried to force them to sign documents renouncing Falun Gong. They refused.

The men stole their set-top box for receiving satellite TV.

17. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Gao Suling was harassed at home by clerks from Longfengyuan Community on the afternoon of August 23, 2021. They asked if she still practiced Falun Gong, ordered her to fill out forms, agree to “transform” (renounce her faith), and cooperate with their work. They demanded she hand over her identity card. She did not comply.

Ms. Wang Xiuqin, Zhang Huaqiao (gender unknown), and Ms. Liang Caiying were harassed at home separately by clerks from the community on the morning of August 24, 2021.

18. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Feng Lili Harassed

Ms. Feng Lili was harassed at home several times on September 16, 2021, by Zhao (first name unknown) and others from the Xiganqu Community Residential Committee. They claimed they would take her to a brainwashing center. She did respond to their demands.

She was harassed several times again by Zhao and others on the afternoon of September 17.

19. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Ying and Her Son Harassed

Ms. Wang Ying, who is retired from the Nanding Town Glass Factory, was harassed by agents from the local brainwashing center on September 13, 2021. The agents kept sending WeChat messages to her son. They threatened him that if Ms. Wang did not sign a document renouncing Falun Gong, she would be arrested and sentenced, and it would jeopardize his job, his paralyzed father’s pension, his son’s education, and more.
