(Minghui.org) The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) “zero-out” campaign is a concerted effort by the Central government to get all levels of the security apparatus, including police and residential community personnel, to force every Falun Dafa practitioner in China on the government’s blacklist to renounce their belief.

When these personnel visit practitioners’ homes, they try to make them sign guarantee statements to renounce their belief in Falun Dafa. If practitioners refuse to sign, they threaten them, saying that the future of their children and family members would be affected, such as their children won’t be able to graduate from school, family members won’t get paid or may lose their jobs, and retired family members would have their pensions suspended.

They also threaten to go to the schools and workplaces of the practitioners’ children or other family members to harass them.

Police and community personnel constantly observe practitioners while talking to them, looking for things they can exploit, such as if a practitioner shows signs of fear or other attachments. They will then use it as an excuse to pile on further threats and pressure. If practitioners have no fear, then the threats become empty, and their power of control is lost.

Not All Are Against Practitioners

We must realize that this harassment campaign is a precursor to the CCP’s self-destruction and elimination, so we should not be fooled by the false appearance of strength through intimidation.

Some of these people are willing to actively participate in the persecution, while there are others who don’t agree with the persecution and are eager to know the truth about Falun Dafa. In my understanding, most police officers and community personnel are reluctant to truly act as thugs for the CCP by persecuting practitioners. When they visit practitioners’ homes, it actually presents a good opportunity to clarify the truth to them.

Most of these people perform these tasks as a mere formality. For example, when the CCP conducted the “door-knocking” operations, I was told that a lot of police would knock on doors at night. Didn’t they know that most people won't open the door at night? Of course they knew this. They were actually more worried that if someone did open the door, they would have to fulfill their duties.

In this “zero-out” campaign, these people may not really want you to sign the guarantee statements; the side of them that understands the truth also hopes that you won't sign.

Some of these security personnel use this opportunity to learn the truth from practitioners. They really want to know about Dafa and would be disappointed or angry if they left without practitioners telling them.

Master Li said,

“It is the evil that is afraid of people knowing the truth of the situation, not Dafa disciples.” (“A Suggestion,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)

If practitioners are really driven by fear when threatened, and sign the statements, the knowing side of the officers may actually despise them. When they are threatened, practitioners must stand up to the evil elements controlling these people and resolutely reject them. Remember, Master makes the decisions; the evil has no say.

Evil can’t subdue righteousness. Evil is afraid of practitioners who have a firm and righteous mind. These people are afraid of being sued, exposed, used as scapegoats, or being on the wrong side of the political struggle.

A Practitioner’s Responsibility

We should remember that forcing practitioners to sign guarantee statements is an unconstitutional and criminal act.

When practitioners encounter this situation, they should make sure to take down the officers names, badge numbers, phone numbers, etc. so that their crimes can be exposed on the Minghui website.

If practitioners hold firm to righteous thoughts, then Master will be able to assist them. The feeling of fear will be lessened or even gone. It could be that Master has uplifted the practitioner’s realm or reduced the substance of fear.

Master may also have arranged for these people to give you a chance to take up the topic and clarify the truth to them. Practitioners may feel that some words are not what they would normally say, as Master may be giving them wisdom to help save those who came to visit.

We must let the security personnel know that when the persecution ends, those who commit crimes against Falun Dafa will be held accountable. Which of those who persecute practitioners for the CCP will be able to escape?

With the persecution so severe, Dafa practitioners are still trying to save those who commit crimes against them. What a compassionate thing!

Master said,

“In today’s social environment in particular, Dafa disciples have been enduring such enormous pressure. If you were to give up cultivation, the evil would let you lead a normal life; if you do not give up cultivation, you will have to endure persecution, and even more severe persecution. It is truly remarkable that you can come through, withstand all of this, and persist till this day.” (“Fa Teaching at the New York Fa Conference on the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of Dafa’s Introduction to the Public”)

Some personnel also try to encourage practitioners to sign guarantee statements on the grounds that they can live a normal life after signing. Will the evil really give practitioners any good things? If practitioners sign the guarantee statements, they are consenting to being persecuted, and hurting themselves!
