(Minghui.org) Although I'm a veteran practitioner who started cultivating in 1995, I paid too much attention to the recent U.S. election and frequently watched the We Media platform. Hence, I was interfered with and became lax about sending righteous thoughts. Thus, I was harassed by the minions of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) recently.
One afternoon, someone knocked on my door. Through the peephole I saw two women from the community office; so I did not answer the door. At nine o'clock the same night, someone knocked heavily on my door. I did not answer and stayed quiet. From my balcony I saw a young man walking away. The knocking happened for two more days and finally, I saw from my balcony that the people who had previously knocked on my door had gathered outside.
I stayed inside my home for those several days. I read the Fa, sent righteous thoughts, and looked inside for reasons to stop this harassment. I also examined my cultivation state and found many attachments. I then worked on correcting myself and discarding the attachments.
Initially, I was afraid and felt disturbed. My heartbeat went up as soon as I heard someone knock at my door, and I could not calm myself even by sending righteous thoughts. Over the days I gradually calmed down as I kept reading the Fa and sending righteous thoughts. Initially, I sent righteous thoughts to stop the harassment. However, people kept coming to my apartment. Then, I realized that the people probably came for salvation and, I should talk to them instead of avoiding them.
The following day when I walked out of my home I saw a note on my door that said, “Notice for Checking Gas but No Access.” I checked with the property management office and they told me that no one had inquired about me. I then asked the residential committee personnel; they told me to come back tomorrow because they were finished working for the day. I thought that I would be okay and the harassment was over.
However, two new faces (female) knocked on my door the next day. I opened the door and they told me they were from the community office. I knew they had come to harass me. I invited them in, served them water and fruit, and asked them to sit down. Then, a man came in with a smart phone in his hand. He said he wanted to record what happened. I told him not to record anything and the two women (one of them was the deputy secretary of the community office) also told him not to record. He put the phone away and sat down. The atmosphere was peaceful.
They told me that they did not want to interfere with me cultivating Faun Gong but were assigned a job. They asked for my cooperation. While talking, the secretary of the community office called the women, asking if I was home. I said to the caller, “I’m home, you may come over.” I continued our conversation with the people in my home.
I told them that cultivating Falun Gong is legal, that the cults defined by the Ministry of Public Security did not include Falun Gong, and that the Press and Publication Administration had already ended the ban on Falun Gong publications. I also told them that people who practiced Falun Gong included members of the Politburo Standing Committee and their families; and that it was former leader Jiang Zemin who insisted on persecuting the practice. I then told them: “Jiang’s followers, including the Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office, are making you do evil things. You should choose the right thing to do.”
I then told them what had recently happened to Sun Lijun and his followers. They listened attentively, and seemed surprised. I went on, “The police departments and stations used to harass Falun Gong practitioners before but they have stopped doing so. Why? They have probably learned that people who do evil will be punished. Now, Jiang’s followers are making you do bad things.” I told them some examples of good people being rewarded and evil people being punished.
We then talked about the Wuhan pneumonia. I told them about plagues that happened during the Roman Empire and that the coronavirus targeted those who persecuted Falun Gong. I told them that reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and quitting the CCP and its affiliated youth organizations would keep them safe.
Just then, the community office secretary and some other staff came in. I asked them, “Do you know the United States recently imposed sanctions against CCP members and their families?” Someone said, “Yes.” I told them, “Quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations can help you avoid the sanctions.” I then restated, “In the current pandemic, quitting the CCP and its youth organizations, and reciting ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ can keep you safe.” They were attentive and nodded in agreement. I gave them each a pseudonym they could use to quit the CCP.
The secretary took out a pile of paper and said: “I know you are all good people. We don't want to interfere with your cultivation and you are not violating the law. All you need to do is sign this paper saying you will not do anything illegal in the future.” I didn’t respond. He continued, “You can just sign the blank area.” I still didn't say anything. He said, “It will be okay if you just sign this paper saying that we have visited you.” I smiled and told him, “If I signed any of those papers my previous efforts in cultivation would have been in vain. You and your family would have committed a big sin.”
They looked at each other and did not seem to know what to say. Finally, the secretary told others to leave but asked a clerk to stay. He told me: “I don't want to interfere with your cultivation, but I have to do my job. I will sign for you.”
I took the stack of paper and tore them to pieces. I said, “I can't let you commit sins.” However, he was worried about how he would explain what happened to his boss. I told him, “It is easy. Give me his phone number and I will call him. I can't let them harm you in this way.” Hearing my words, he said, “We are leaving.”
I walked them downstairs and saw two more people in a car. I went over and talked with them and also helped them to quit the CCP. A total of six people quit the CCP that day.
Watching them drive away I came to understand that they had persisted in looking for me because they were anxiously seeking salvation.
