(Minghui.org) Greetings, esteemed Master and fellow practitioners!

My residence was on a hillside, and it collapsed in 1998. While dealing with this matter, about one year later, I met the only Falun Dafa practitioners in the same district.

I was told in childhood that I would run into a good thing later in life. Unexpectedly, the good thing I had been expecting came to fruition after I met this Falun Dafa practitioner. I began to practice Falun Dafa. It has been 21 years.

More than two years later, I began to use the RTC platform to clarify the facts to people in mainland China. At that time, except for household chores that I had to take on, I used all my time on the RTC platform to awaken people’s conscience.

I used an old computer that had only 1GB of RAM, but incredibly, it could have 100 chat windows open at the same time. After turning on my computer, my mouse arrows were shown as Falun. It was truly miraculous!

Receiving Training

Before I joined the RTC platform more than five years ago, I always felt that there was something lacking when I made phone calls to clarify the facts. Although I could help them renounce their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), I didn’t know how much I could make myself understood. When I had a strong desire to improve my skills, I heard from a coordinator that the RTC platform was about to train people. This was what I had been looking for.

I signed up for shifts on the RTC platform, and generally I wrapped up at 3 p.m. Then, I noticed that a few practitioners got together in another room, which made me curious to hear what they said. While they were calling, they were discussing how to make more effective phone calls. I decided to join them after my shift was done. The person who led the conversation was the one to help coordinate the training, Ms. Li. Thus, I joined the first training session.

This training was different from than the ones I had attended in the past. It was very professional, with the training materials prepared by the writing team. It also required practitioners in class to make calls based on the training materials.

There was an amazing story: when a practitioner was helping others quit the CCP, a real example talked of the seriousness of taking an evil vow. For example, one was talking to another party over the phone, “Hello there! Our traditional Chinese culture talks about ‘one promise is worth a thousand pieces of gold.’ There was a student called Gu Gao in the Qing Dynasty. He wrote very good articles, but he couldn’t get a good score on the civil service exam and was not selected to serve as a government official. In order to get the position, he went to Dongyue Temple to worship Buddha, where he made an evil vow to exchange the remaining years of his life to be a government official. Right after he became one, he died.

“For us to join the CCP, we also had to surrender our lives to the Party. It’d be a disaster if it does come true. I hope you don’t give your life to the CCP. Please remember this pseudonym. I’ll help you quit the CCP so that your evil vow will be nullified and your safety will be ensured. So when the evil CCP is eliminated by heaven, you’ll still be fine.”

Initially I didn’t think very highly of this script, as I felt it was too long and was afraid that people would hang up. However, Ms. Li insisted on using it. After I did, I realized that it was very well put together. As in the past, when I asked someone to renounce his memberships in the CCP, he’d think that either we were involved in politics or opposed the Party. However, after I used this story, people rarely made comments along this line.

In the past, after I helped someone quit the CCP, I’d tell them that people all over the world practice Dafa and that the “self-immolation incident” is a hoax. I often ran into people who hung up, didn’t agree with me, or kept chipping in to interrupt me. However, a few times when I used the script provided by the training team, the person listened to me quietly and responded quite positively.

The training team has also provided a long script for people working in the CCP system. Some people who were reluctant to quit the CCP at first changed their minds after I started using this script. I truly appreciated the wisdom of practitioners who organized this training.

Eliminating Sentimentality Between Practitioners

I got along very well with Ms. Lin. We shared not only about cultivation matters but also things about our day-to-day lives. Sometimes I felt she was good at looking after people, just like my elder sister. After I joined the training from the RTC platform, I wished she would come along. Sure enough, she came as well. Her reaction was faster than mine, she also spoke more fluently than I did. As a result, she improved more quickly than I did. This caused my jealousy to flare up. Especially when I started feeling that the training coordinator Ms. Li took special care of her, my jealousy flared up even more.

But at the same time, I knew this was something I had to eliminate. There were times when my improvement was very slow and I felt I couldn’t keep up anymore. Then Ms. Lin put together a short script for helping people quit the CCP. I thought I must not lag behind.

One time I took a short script from her to modify. Then when other practitioners asked me for it, I just gave it to them without mentioning that it was originally drafted by Ms. Lin. I took it for granted that it was mine since I had modified it. This led to a conflict between us.

This issue was to eliminate our sentimentality. It also exposed my attachment to fame. In the end, I came to realize that I should apologize to her. But, she didn’t accept my apology. Later I even went as far as using my sentimentality to try to solve our problem: I called her “my older sister,” but it made her even more upset.

I was stunned: How could we end up in a situation like this? Her reaction hurt me deeply. One time, I heard from Ms. Li that Ms. Lin dreamed that she couldn’t find her way home more than once. This touched me deeply. I had thought: If I could let go of my own ego to help her find her way home, I’d be happy to do that. Later I enlightened that since I was attached to sentimentality and the conflict was for me to get rid of my attachment to fame, then I might as well apologize to Ms. Lin at our training team session.

“I want to apologize to you,” I said. “I shouldn’t have claimed that it was mine only after changing your script. I know I have caused great harm to you. I am so sorry! I promise you this won’t happen again. I heard that you couldn’t find your way home in your dream. If I have a lamp, I’d like to use it to light up your path. One day if the same thing happens to me, I wish you could do the same. We are one body, I believe that when both our lights are up, our path will for sure be very bright.” The conflict was resolved.

For a long time, I had only read and recited Zhuan Falun, the main teachings of Falun Dafa, and skipped Master’s new articles. Because I had to work, I always felt there was not enough time to make phone calls. Through this conflict, I came to realize that I should read Master’s new articles as well.

Improving Xinxing While Doing RTC Training

I have attended the training three times and accumulated a great deal of experience. I also learned how to train other practitioners. Twice in my dreams, someone came to me to learn how to make calls. Earlier this year, the coronavirus outbreak has impacted practitioners’ truth-clarification work around the globe, and the RTC platform has become an increasingly important tool for saving sentient beings. Many practitioners wanted to join RTC to make phone calls. The fourth training session began, but we were short of staff. Practitioners who learned quickly were assigned to help train new practitioners.

I was in charge of training about a dozen practitioners on our team. There were also three to four practitioners taking on the team leader role to assist me. Probably because I had accumulated a lot of hands-on experience, practitioners were interested in receiving the training directly from me rather than the team leaders. I noticed that and shared with them, “The more you get to practice, the faster you’ll improve.” Even so, they didn’t want to leave.

Another attachment flared up. Ms. He from our team did exceptionally well after the training. She already had a lot of hands-on experience, and she worked diligently, so she made rapid progress. Ms. Yu, a trainer, didn’t think Ms. He needed to be trained anymore, so she asked me to take on someone else instead. But I thought she still had room for improvement.

During the process, I came to realize that I wanted to hold onto to my own opinion and validate myself. When I heard that Ms. Li often praised Ms. Lin for how many people she had trained, I developed a competitive mentality. I wanted to have other people realize that the person trained by me was on par with everyone else, if not better. Shame on me!

Master said,

“It's not like Gods see that your idea worked and then they raise your level. Instead, they only raise your level when they see that your understanding of it has improved. This is a truth in the Righteous Fa. If you're thinking, "I'll have XYZ happen to me if I've gained such and such amount of merit," well, yes, that's how it works for an ordinary person, and it might be what's looked at as far as certain facets of the cosmos's Fa-truths go or in a particular situation. But true improvements come from letting go, not from gaining.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. II)

After I realized my shortcoming, I let go of that attachment. I also shared with other practitioners from our team on the Fa that they should be following their leaders instead of myself. Soon enough, we were all on the same page. As long as I said which room still had spots, they’d go to fill them. Not long, practitioners from our team made rapid progress, which delighted me.

Master said,

“Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one’s master. The master gives you the gong mechanism that develops your gong, and this gong mechanism will function. It can transform the substance of de outside of your body into gong.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)

This matter made me realize that as long as we are on the Fa, we can follow Master’s arrangement, and it will always work out for the best. In the end, Ms. He also became one of the trainers on our team.

Some practitioners who came for the training didn’t want to let go of their own things, which made the training difficult. The ones who improved quickly were those who were more open-minded. Every time after we finished calling, we’d get together to do some sharing and ask questions based on what we came across during the calls, and I’d provide suggestions by leveraging my past experience. Sometimes whoever didn’t attend the training would join us as well.

One time when I shared, I said we should put more emphasis on clarifying the facts. In my experience, when I put too much effort into talking a recipient into quitting the CCP, the other party always hung up and refused to pick up again when I called back. What a pity! Then I felt it was fine for them not to quit the CCP right away and that we could just put our heart into awakening their conscience. When they become clear, they’d make up their mind. Later on, a few practitioners shared with me that when they didn’t have the attachment of having people quit the Party, these people took their their initiative to quit the CCP instead. They truly appreciated my sharing and found it insightful.

Making Use of Training Materials

I normally give practitioners a set of materials that I use on a day-to-day basis. They were built up over the past three years and included both long and short scripts. One time I heard that a practitioner had shared on the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, and it touched me deeply. She said there was something missing in other practitioners’ truth-clarification in this respect, and she suggested how we should approach the subject. I felt what she said made sense, then I memorized it by heart. Later I converted it into a script and passed it on to many practitioners.

I often felt that after one quits the CCP, it’s not the best approach to tell them to recite the phrases “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” right away. Some people who decided to quit the CCP didn’t know much about Dafa, so they ended up hanging up on us. It was quite a pity. Finally, I used ways that people could accept to help them understand the beauty of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

One time I asked a man, “Sir, do you know what a vendor would be like if he lives by ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance’?” He asked me to tell him. After I told him, I asked him, “Do you know what a doctor would do if he practices ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance’?” He replied right away, “He could treat my illnesses very seriously.” Thinking he got it, I asked, “Do you know how a teacher would behave when practicing ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance’?” He replied, “They’d put their heart into educating kids.” I praised him for getting them all.

Then I asked him how Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance came about. He said he had no idea. I used this opportunity to talk to him about the basic facts of Dafa. Before I gave him the phrase, I said that Dafa has received many awards in China and abroad, that the “self-immolation” incident was a hoax, and so on.

Some practitioners who had never made truth-clarification phone calls came to our training session. They were excited and said, “I never expected that I could make myself understood so well.” It was truly wonderful to see their improvement.

Every time I made a phone call, I recorded it. This helped me make a record of some successful cases. So far I have saved more than 100 files like this. Some practitioners who missed the training could also listen to the recordings. Ms. Lu only made the calls when she was on her weekly shift. I saw she had improved quickly, since she helped more people quit the CCP. Then she told me that her trick was to listen to those recordings beforehand.

When I made calls, I often came across people with all kinds of mentalities. Some asked for money, some couldn’t distinguish between the CCP and China, and some had misunderstandings about Dafa. The recordings of those who successfully helped people quit the CCP have become key content in my training, as they are intuitive to practitioners. Some practitioners couldn’t log on to the RTC platform to receive the training, but just by having them check the scripts and listen to the recordings, they could help people quit the CCP. This was truly wonderful!

Conclusion

I wanted to share with practitioners on truth-clarification through making phone calls for them to use as a reference. I started sharing at the No.1 room from the RTC platform from time to time. One coordinator told me that some practitioners mentioned that I had a show-off mentality. I was hit very hard by that comment and even became depressed. I wanted to stay away from other practitioners and just make the calls myself.

However, I knew that I shouldn’t do that and needed to be responsible for trainees. I had to look at the big picture. Soon enough, I snapped out of that negative state. I knew that my starting point was good but that because I still had the attachment of validating myself, other practitioners got to see it.

A RTC platform trainer is a special honor granted by Master. Only by continuously purifying my heart can I carry out the training effectively and walk well on the path Master arranged for us.

Thank you, Master!Thank you, fellow practitioners on the RTC platform!
