(Minghui.org) A woman hurried towards me as I got off the bus. She held my arm and greeted me warmly, like an old friend. I responded politely but wondered, “People tend to keep their social distance during this coronavirus pandemic, why isn't she?”
She said excitedly, “I haven’t seen you since we parted. Luckily, my wish was granted and I ran into you. I've missed you!” I suddenly remembered her. We met two years ago when I walked through this part of town. She was curled up in a corner on the street, looking like she was in a lot of pain. Her wrinkly face was waxy and dark, and she looked really old.
I went over and asked if she was alright. She did not respond. After I asked a few more times, she looked up with dull eyes and uttered a few words. Her voice was so feeble that I could barely hear what she said. After I got really close to her, she said, “I am dying. People just avoid me. Aren’t you afraid?”
I said into her ear, “Life is precious, but I can tell you something important: recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good.”
I encouraged her and said that many people felt they were blessed when they remembered those words and said them. She nodded and even as she said them with me, her complexion improved. She stood up and walked!
She couldn’t stop thanking me. I told her to thank Falun Dafa's Master.
I guessed that she was over 80. When we met again, she told me that she wasn’t even 60. “I suffered with two types of cancer for a long time. I'd had chemotherapy that day and wanted to stay at home to rest. There wasn’t anyone home and I decided to go out and get some fresh air. I didn’t get very far before I was too feeble to walk. I couldn’t make it home and no one extended a helping hand, except for you. Your Master saved me that day.
“I sincerely recited the phrase every day after we met. My every waking moment, as long as I remembered it, I recited the phrase. The more I did, the more comfortable and optimistic I felt and the more energy I had. It was as if I was never sick and all the pain disappeared. I didn’t need chemotherapy anymore. I walked everywhere and did all the chores.
“Falun Dafa is amazing and the phrase was magical. I'd spent all my savings on chemotherapy and suffered countless tribulations, and still, I almost died. If it weren't for Falun Dafa's Master, I wouldn’t be here today. Master didn’t charge me a cent. Now my family all believe that Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good. They all know that Master saved me.”
Two years ago I helped her quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, because the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa and caused the death of numerous practitioners over the past 21 years. She wanted to persuade her family to quit, too, so that they wouldn’t be held accountable for the CCP's crimes.
I told her about the violent history of the CCP and used the current pandemic as an example to explain the CCP’s true nature and its utter indifference to human life. In the end I reminded her never to believe the CCP’s propaganda and lies.
She said, “I never listen to or believe the CCP’s propaganda. I will always believe that Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good, and be forever blessed.”
