(Minghui.org) I met an elderly retired police officer, who was a guard in the detention center where I was being held. He was later transferred to the police station in my residential area. With his tall frame, large kind eyes, and pleasant voice, there was something unforgettable about him. I believed he was a good person.
I ran into him many times and each time I told him about Falun Dafa and the persecution and wanted him to remain safe when the calamities eventually come.
A Wall of Resistance
The first time we met, I told him about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) corruption, it being responsible for the deaths of millions of people during its political movements, its fabrication of lies to frame and slander Falun Dafa, and its role in numerous cases of injustice. I told him that Heaven is in the process of eliminating the CCP and advised him to withdraw from its affiliated organizations to ensure a safe future.
However, he didn't want to listen and walked away.
I tried to talked to him again when I met him for the second time, but he just stared straight ahead saying, “I will listen to whoever pays me money. If Falun Dafa pays me, I will listen to Falun Dafa.”
While I was talking to some students on the street about the persecution one time. He happened to be coming my way, so I greeted him. He asked, “What are you doing here?”
When he realized that I was talking to them about Dafa, he looked a little perturbed. I knew, however, that he wouldn't report me. As he walked away, I tried to catch up with him. He stopped and said, “Go home. Go take care of your family.”
I really wanted him to understand the CCP. Seeing that he still didn't want to listen, I put my arm through his and continued to talk to him. He shook loose and in an annoyed tone said, “Don’t grab me. It doesn’t look right!”
Days later, I met him for the fourth time near the police station. I told him, “I can give you software to break through the CCP’s Internet blockade. You can read real news using it.” He replied flatly, “I already have it.”
These fortuitous encounters continued.
The next time I met him, I began explaining about how the CCP fabricated the Tiananmen Square self-immolation to slander Falun Dafa. He replied, “I'm retired now. Stop telling me things that have nothing to do with me.”
The Long-Awaited Breakthrough
I saw him again at a farmers' market. It was at the time when the Wuhan virus pandemic began. I walked up to him with a face mask on, and said, “Sir, do you recognize me?”
“Yes, I recognize you,” he replied smiling.
“I've talked to you many times about the CCP, and how by only quitting the Party will you ensure your safety. However, you didn't want to listen.
“Do you know why the virus broke out first in Wuhan? Wuhan's TV Station fabricated programs to slander Falun Dafa and Master Li Hongzhi (the founder). The CCP formed the 610 Office specifically for persecuting Falun Dafa, and they held their national conferences in Wuhan.
“Wuhan hospitals were among the first to harvest organs from detained Dafa practitioners. The residents of Wuhan are deeply poisoned by the CCP's propaganda and now they are suffering for believing it. The second wave of the virus is yet to come. Please quit the CCP! Don’t wait, or it'll be too late!”
This time he listened intently and accepted what I said. When I offered to help him quit the CCP, he agreed enthusiastically, “Thank you! Thank you! Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
I then asked him to help his family go online to submit their withdrawals from the Party. With a smile, he nodded in agreement.
